TCD = Sad :(

Sorry to hear about your loss, how about a Basset Hound pup i still have a few

I'm so sorry for your loss. I never had the honor to meet her, but I sure wish I had -- she looks like a wonderful soul. Add me to the list of those who have felt the loss of a fur baby(ies)...it's so hard, but it does ease up a little over time. Hang in there.

It is so hard when you lose your BEST friend :sad1:

The one thing that loved YOU more than anything.

It leaves a big hole in your heart and your life. When you are ready, there are many animals at your local shelter that would just love to be the one to fill it. :dogdance:

You are blesses to have a lovely family. :grouphug:

So sorry for your loss.

Sorry for your families loss TCD. That is a great picture and one you will always treasure.

I so sorry to hear of your loss.

TCD,

I'm sorry for your loss. Like others, I can relate when our dog Sophie (our first baby) who was 12 came to a point in her life where she could not go on.

Dogs are great examples of unconditional love, loyalty, and simple joy. There's a lot we can learn from them.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I know how hard it is. They are our family. We love them so much. :sad1:

Take care.

Andrew,

Sorry to hear of your loss..... I hope Cookie became a criminole fan before she passed away, because I'd hate to have lost a Gatordog....

Pete- If I am not mistaken, I think you met Cookie while she was riding around on the golf cart last October. She was wearing her pink FSU collar. The girls decided a long time ago that she was an FSU fan, so the poor dog never had any Gator gear.

Thanks for the offer, but it's too soon. I am sure we will get another dog some day, but we need to get over our grieving first.

I highly agree with this thinking. I got a new puppy one week after my molly died in january and I just couldn't "connect" with her. She was sweet and a really good dog but I didn't feel any connection at all for the longest time. Now, even tho i still grieve for molly every single day, i really love little sandie and she is loved more every day. now, having another golden retriever, Cassie, has added even more love to our family. But one week, was way way too soon. Last time, I gave it a year and that seemed much better.

TCD - so sorry for your loss. :grouphug: I'm off to go give my nearly 13 year old furbaby a hug...I know our time with her is fleeting too.

I hope the memories of warm cuddles, wet sloppy kisses, and boundless energy from the not so distant past fill your hearts and give you comfort.

TCD,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our furbabies are so very important to us.
Today was the day our 12 year old boxer, Precious, lost her fight with cancer.
I'll bet she and Cookie are already playing over the Rainbow Bridge.:grouphug:
