Taxis at DTD resorts

I am considering staying at a DTD hotel for my next trip. But I won't have a car, and I am not thrilled with how the resort shuttle busses run. Would it make sense to use a taxi to get around to the parks? And how would I get an idea of how much it would cost to do so?

I would be interested too! I will be at a conference for 3 days and will need a taxi from the BLT to the CSR. One day I was going to have my husband bring my kids by taxi to the csr to pick me up and then we would go to DHS, so does anyone know if uou can call ahead and get a taxi with a carseat?
