Hi does anyone know the price of a taxi from CSR to some of the other resorts for dinner? Ie; contemporary, polynesian, Animal kingdom lodge? Also does anyone know the going rate for a taxi to the airport from csr? thanks soooo much!!!! goof

I wonder if there are a lot of us. It doesn't seem worthwhile to rent a car for 2 people staying a week, but I'm afraid that if I don't I'll feel trapped. Any ideas? Thanks.

I think taxi fare is approx $50 one day (from MCO). Hotel to hotel runs $5-$10.

i dont know if i can help much, but we come to florida by Amtrak train out of boston. we never rent a car. We usually grab either a taxi or like shuttle /car at the train station in Orlando. i think this summer we paid like 40.00 - 42.00 from the station to asmusic. it wasnt much more than last summer. this year we went 8/26 - 9/2. i believe if you check with your hotel they might suggest another co. you could check out prices. oh yeah, for the shuttle it was me,dh, dd15 and 2 friends of dd. we didnt think that was a bad price, we dont like to drive while down there.

Check rental car prices using the codes on mousesavers. I got a National intermediate for $142 incl tax for December 4 to 10. If you figure the cost of airport transportation, you aren't paying that much more. If you plan on using taxis at WDW, you may break out even or better. I expect that $142 to go down, in previous years it went down closer to the date, to around $115.

Taxis to/from CSR to the Monorail hotels run around $15.00-$16.00 with tip. However it could be more of less depending on traffic.
It is $50.00 plus tip for a one way fare from MCO to CSR.

From Caribbean Beach Resort, which is the closest mall from the choice of Florida mall, Premium Outlet mall and Belz Factory outlet mall? How far are they?

Which is the cheapest way (no driving license) to get there? How much would a taxi cost one-way?

If I remember it right, I payed ~$15 from POR to Premium mall last time one-way with a taxi.

The Premium Outlet Mall is the closest to Disney property. You'd want to (from the CBR) take Buena Vista Drive towards Downtown Disney, then get onto Hotel Plaza Drive (the stoplight just after the DTD "Marketplace" entrance). From there, turn right onto 535 (it's the intersection with Crossroads mall on the other side of the street). The 3rd stoplight you come to on 535 will be Vineland Ave. Turn left on Vineland, and the mall is about a 3/4 - 1 mile away on Vineland.

To get to the Florida Mall, take I-4 east to Exit 74 (probably about 6 or 7 miles), and turn right onto Sand Lake Rd. Drive about 6 miles, and the Florida mall will be on the right at the corner of Sand Lake and Orange Blossom Trail.

I'm not entirely sure where the Belz outlets are.

A taxi would probably be the cheapest way to get to these malls.

:earsgirl: :earsboy: Thanks so much everyone for your replys, i might check out rental car prices, just to see how it compares .......... thanks again, you guys are great!!!!........ goof

I assume that the taxi fee would be a flat $50 (or there abouts) and not per person. Is this correct?

It looks like this would be cheaper than setting up transportation to and from the airport thru WDW.

Yes you are correct tlrotzoll. The $50.00 taxi from the airport is a flat rate. I find grabbing a cab the easiest way to and from the airport.
