Tatooine Traders Light Sabers

Hi all—
Have a trip over Labor Day with a scheduled stop at Savis for my older two kids (12, 10) to build a light saber. My littler two (7,6) are kind of jealous of this and insist they’re totally responsible enough for a $200 light saber. Insert eye rolls.

I’m wondering if they’re still doing light saber building at Tatooine Traders? I know it was way less expensive and a plastic toy so thought this might be a good option for us to do while the big boys do the real thing. Anyone done this lately?

Both of my boys built lightsabers at Tatooine Traders in July. As you said, they are not the same as Savis, but I too feared that $200 would quickly be spent for a broken lightsaber.

The ones at Tatooine Traders are highly customizable. When we did ours, the boys would tell a castmember which pieces they wanted and the castmember would get the parts and did the assembly. If the boys didn't like how each piece looked when assembled though, the castmember could change pieces out. My 10 year old went through several configurations before he decided on the one he liked.
