TASTE OF BUFFALO (Your town)

Went to the "Taste of Buffalo" today. So much food, so many live bands, loads of people. Went with some friends and just ate like crazy, not to mention had a frozen Sangria slush, and a Captain Morgan Parrot Bay Mango Margeritta (sp). (Could get hooked on those). DH even tried friend catus strips. Had a great time lots of sun, perfect day for this. They hold this downtown in the theatre district.

Do you have of Taste of ???? in your town? Did you ever go and what was it like.

Here in little ol' Owensboro, KY we have the International BBQ festival every May. Huge BBQ cook offs featuring Pokr, Chicken, Mutton and my personal favorite, a soup called Burgoo. mmmmm.

I havent been in a while, but we always go down and buy some BBQ and take it home...But its a pretty big deal..big carnival, huge cookoffs, craft shows etc etc. I have missed out on it the last few years because i had been working through it.

Another Buffalo girl who admits to never getting to the Taste. Every year I say I'm going, and every year something else wrecks it. Including this year. Yesterday the garage sale, today DH has to work. I should go alone. I'm sure I could eat enough for the two of us.

I'm a stone's throw from a BBQ festival they hold in August, but it draws people from all over the U.S.

Taste of Cincinnati is held around Memorial Day, and there is usually three different music stages for various entertainment. You buy samples of food for 3 or 4 bucks. How about Cincinnati style chili vs Texas Chili. Here, they put it on pasta and it has a cinmamon flaver to it. Not my cup of tea, but folks who work in northern Kentucky have Cincy style chili everyday.

Missed the "Taste" this year ( I am sick today ) but we went last year and had such a great time.

You Buffalo gals that have never been..get your butts there next year. Such a blast. And now you can buys your tickets long before you get downtown.

I've gone to a small one a few times - its called Taste of Chicago

Actually it has been quite a few years as it always gets very crowded down there. Used to go a lot more when I worked downtown.

When we went to DVC Member Homecoming in May they had a Taste of Downtown Disney that was fantastic!

We did the Taste of Buffalo yesterday. It's a family tradition-- we had 9 of us. Anyhow, wonderful food. I couldn't believe all the people lined up at Anderson's for Ice Cream--- I mean you can get Ice Cream anytime. There was so much else to try!

We went to that little street fair called Taste of Chicago Would go back without the kids next time

I haven't been, but it's called The Taste of Portland or the "Bite." They have tons of different vendors, featuring McCormick and Schmidt's, an upscale chain of restaurants around here. Local sausage & lots of microbrew beers!
