Target's sale starting 11/21....

Is there a restocking fee for the netbooks?

Usually as retail stores in general go, restocking fees normally apply when the product in question is taken out of its' sealed box and activated/otherwise used.

This is most common in the weeks before/after the Super Bowl, as some people are known to buy HDTVs and return them to the store (after the games are over) for a full refund -- the fee serves as a deterrent to this sort of thing...

Where can a person get their hands on one of the flyers? I could really use one of the coupons.

Ok, I just need to ask this again to clarify it in my mind...

If I were to go in and purchase a DSi today, I can go and have it price adjusted to the $119 on Sunday once they go on sale?

Does that work on Black Friday as well? Or only on these pre-Black Friday deals?

My dsis and I have both been able to do the price adjustment on Black Friday deals as well, although we've never tried with the door buster items, and I'm not sure if you'd be able to with those. I plan on doing it again this year, as our closest target is an hr. away.

Last year, BF deals were not adjusted because they were a special event.

FTR, I'm not sharing any secret knowledge about upcoming Target deals. I have no desire to be fired. I am only sharing what is official policy regarding adjustments, price matching, and returns....information I am allowed to share all year long. That information can be found on Target's website at all times. Most of the time I don't pay attention to what we have on sale until I'm ringing up guests and say, "Wow. I guess we have a good deal on that this week." I have no access to future sales fliers and do not seek them out. I get them on Sunday morning in my paper just like the general public.

I also do not understand the admonition to stop interacting with store employees. We are encouraged to interact through social media outlets so long as we always identify ourselves as a Target team member. I kinda felt like the comment was directed at me in a backhanded way without directly addressing me. If I have personalized this incorrectly, I apologize.

I read through this a couple of times to do my best to make sure that the above was written in such a way as to not cause hard feelings. If it failed, I'm sorry.

Good luck to everyone with their deal hunting.

The way I read the warning was not that we shouldn't interact with TMs but rather we shouldn't ask you about upcoming sales so we don't put you in a bad position. It sounded to me more like the warning was to protect TMs, not admonish or berate them. I for one am glad that somebody mentioned that this is a policy because I would never knowingly put somebody in an uncomfortable position of having to choose between not telling the truth or getting fired but without being informed I wouldn't have realized I was doing that.

Yes you can. I just came back from Target and picked up a bunch of Disney Princess stuff....it will be 50% off Sunday with the Target coupon.

I spoke with the store manager. You just bring back your reciept and the coupon that will be in the store ad. I believe the ad will be in the Sunday papers that will be available Saturday.

If you're speaking of my PP, you are absolutely correct in your interpretation, clanmcculloch...

I went in after work and bought the Acer netbook they have on sale starting Sunday. My plan is to take the receipt in Sunday and have them price adjust it. If they won't do it, then I will just return it and get a full refund. :rotfl:

What is the deal on the acer netbook--can you share? thanks

The ad should be in the Sunday newspaper. Even when I lived 50-60 miles or more away from a Target, the nearest city's newspaper that had one would usually have the ad in it.

Just so everyone knows, Target Team Members are prohibited from discussing future sales of any sort (especially the BF/2-Day Sale) with the general public -- if it ever got back to local store management, the TM could suddenly find himself/herself unemployed.

While it's always fun to get the "advance scoop" on these things, let's continue to do so in a manner that doesn't involve any interaction with retail store employees -- those guys and gals are going to have enough on their hands, come next week.

I went back and read the posts again and I don't see where she was giving us any sort of future sales information....she was just stating policy which was VERY helpful to us. I don't see the problem with what she was saying at all. How could stating company policy get her fired? What am I missing?

In an effort to get back to the direction I originally intended this thread to go.....the deal on the acer netbook is $179. I paid over $250 including tax yesterday. Can't wait to go and get some of my money back!!!

Just a reminder that Walmart should price match if you can't find what you're looking for at Target. :)

I thought about that too. But, Walmart doesn't price match unless it's a printed ad (which this is) but it also has to be the EXACT same model....they don't carry this exact Acer netbook...at least mine doesn't.

But it would work for some of the other items for sure! Thanks for the reminder!!!:)
