I have an on-going "debate" with some co-workers regarding this topic. I am very loyal to Target. I love it love it love it and would make daily stops there if I could! Imagine my glee when a brand new one opened up about a year ago right in the middle of my 50 mile drive home from work!! What a great way to break up the monotony of sitting in traffic!! I'll just stop by Target! :hyper:

Admittedly, I do go to Wal-Mart for oil changes as they are reasonably priced and they usually do a good job, unless they are very busy. Although, I don't feel too bad about this since Target doesn't offer car service, but I bet you know where I'd be if they did ;)) l would also like to add for the record, that WM does have some cheaper prices, but to me, it's not worth it to deal the crowds. IMO, WM has always seemed kinda dirty and their products (except name brand toiletries and such) are of lessor quality.
Target = :smooth: Wal-Mart = :crowded:
:laughing: :rotfl: :laughing: :rotfl: :laughing:

Which do you prefer? :earsgirl:

Wal-Mart's ok, but I love Target!

I ADORE Target, though there are a few things that just cannot be bought anyplace but Walmart. So, unfortunetly, I have to enter WalMart on occasion for those items, but I usually wait until late at night =)

I LOVE Target!! I was heartbroken when we moved her and found out the nearest Target is a 2 hr drive one way!! Then I discovered Target.com....

We had a Wal*Mart a few years before we got a Target. Thought WM was great.

Since Target opened I haven't stepped foot in Wal*Mart! What a difference. Our Wal*Mart is a jolt to the senses - why does EVERYONE get access to the P.A. system?

I must say that Wal*Mart carries the best brand of underwear I have ever worn (something like "World's best fitting"). I may have to run in there quickly to restock since my supply is dwindling. :earseek:

I have never been to a Target since we don't have one here and our Wal-Mart doesn't change car oils, have produce, meats....

Big fan of Target, and they just opened a super-Target on my way home last year! Love it! Now I get to stop all the time on the pretense that I'm "grocery shopping";)

They've done a great job in terms of well-designed but inexpensive products, knowing that there is a huge population who will be willing to pay just slightly more for something functional that they really like.

Plus their DVD section and sales beat WM almost everyday.

I love 'em both. Wal Mart is 5 minutes away, Target about 20. I like Target for clothing, snack food, CD & videos. Their kids clothing is great--low prices and great quality. But Wal Mart has a craft section. I crochet & cross stitch and I can get all my supplies there for low prices. Also, I've been getting film developed there and it's good and cheap.

I love Target, and shop there weekly. However, I have begun to shop at Wal-mart for food, believe it or not. . .their food selection is great, their produce is better than my nearby kroger, and the prices are good. I also find I have to shop at Walmart for things that Target doesn't have.

Sometimes (excuse the long-windedness, Pryncess!!!), I, alas, have to go to Walmart, but I'd RATHER go to TARGET!!!!

I much prefer Target's everything. . .but Walmart carries everything. . .so I'm stuck sometimes. With kids, I don't like to do two of those kinds of stores in the same day.

Oh, I LOVE Target. I was bored the other day and I decided to go to Target, and I actually got very excited! I'm usually there at least once a week. My 3-year-old even loves Target!

The Walmart here is in the same strip mall as the Greatland Target and they're only maybe 5 years old at the most. I had to go to Walmart a while ago to get something specific and I was just mortified by it. It was disgusting with gross people too. And this is in a very nice part of town. It really made me wonder where some of these people were coming from. I'm not saying all Walmarts are like this (we had a nice one in college), but this one is just yucky.

After I had my first child I was a few sizes bigger than I wanted to be, so I went to Walmart to buy my "fat" clothes. I refused to buy anything nicer until I lost the weight.

You are excused, Kendra. ::yes::
Mostly due to the fact that you prefer Target ;)

I have always been a huge Target fan and after my DH's rant last night about Wal-Mart (something about anyone caught shopping there and divorce) I guess I won't be going to a Wal-Mart anytime soon.

The Walmart by me is small and always dirty, with merchandise all over the floor. I'd much rather go to Target wher it's spread out and clean. While the prices may be better at Walmart I'd rather spend the extra fifty cents at Target and shop without getting totall aggravated.:D

I like to save money, so I usually shop at Wal-Mart, but like the environment better at Target. I don't like Target's return policy anymore though....:crazy:

Target lover here! :)

However, when we do our huge grocery shopping once a month, we do it at Walmart. Their prices are lower and their produce and meat selections are MUCH better than Target's.

LOL --- I have received this same type of "threat" from my DH-2-be. So when it's time for an oil change, I gotta make the trek alone. Granted, he does offer to come with me. But....yeah, I'll pass on two hours of him being a big crabby apple and making my WM experience even more miserable :sad2: I can walk out of there and just brush it off, for him, it can ruin his whole day. Boys! I'm telling ya!!

Oh, yeah! You are right! I spend at least a couple of thousand dollars there throughout the year, but am the most disorganized person when it comes to saving receipts. They don't even let you exchange now without a receipt!

WalMart has a great return policy--I've never had trouble over there.
