Target & Disney Store clearances... remind me, please!

Ever since DD was born, I've had a lot of success & saved a lot of money by shopping for her Christmas & birthday (12/31) presents during the Target toy clearances and the big Disney Store clearance where you get 20/30/40% off of the already discounted price.

Now I've got 3 princesses to shop for so these big sales are even more on my mind. I know they're typically in the summer & would like to start gathering some money together for them (especially since I'm going without a paycheck for the next month or two) but I'm having a brain fart on when exactly the sales are. End of summer? Soon?

Anyone remember?? Thanks!

At Target, I find the best deal is mid-January. I know that means holding onto the things for almost a year for you, but our girls' birthday is in March, so it works for us. I still have things in my close I got at Target clearance 2 years ago because I can find 70 - 90% off. There will be another clearance in September for summer type stuff, like goggles, swim and summer sports stuff. Sometimes toys, but the real toy deal is in January.

I still have stuff in the closet from Target's toy clearance in the winter. I'd planned on using it for Easter but had so much stuff, I still have some leftover so I'm using it for random, "the babies are getting presents and big sister is starting to get really jealous when she gets nothing" gifts.

The big summer toy clearance at Target is at the end of July. Same discounts as the January clearance - they do 2 a year.

FYI - Kmart always does their toy clearance the same week as Target, and I do WAY better there. That's the only time I shop Kmart, but in the past couple of years, Kmart has lower prices & fewer crowds to deal with. You just have to brave the nasty stores (I know there are nice Kmarts out there, but the ones around here are gross).

Good info, I'll be sure to keep an eye out and some room in the budget. I'm normally half-done by now, but this spring was horrendous and I feel so behind!

Are you still in your retrun period? But it again in the same size and return it with the old receipt!

Yes but, we live over an hour away from the only 2 Disney stores around. So, it's probably not worth it for me to take it back.

That dress has been on sale for a long time, for $30, so you probably paid $30 a month ago, don't feel bad.

Some of the other ones just went onsale with this current promotion.

FYI - Kmart always does their toy clearance the same week as Target, and I do WAY better there. That's the only time I shop Kmart, but in the past couple of years, Kmart has lower prices & fewer crowds to deal with. The closest Kmart to me is near my parent's house and my mom has had GREAT success with their clearance sale there. But by the time I get up that way, she's already gone & cleared them out of the stuff DD would be interested in!

I know about the big Disney Store clearance going on right now but for some reason, I thought last year they had a sale on TOP of the clearanced prices -- you got something like an extra 20% off home stuff, an extra 30% off toys, an extra 40% off clothes. Although I could be totally on that... it's happened once or twice in my past 31 years.

ETA: I already scored a pretty good find at our local Walmart a few weeks back... got DD the Loving Family grand dollhouse (or whatever the monstrous thing is called) for $30 in the clearance section!! I've seen the furniture sets on clearance there in the past so I'm hoping to be able to grab a few of those for a good price before Christmas/birthday.

We were in our Target today and they had a lot of the Disney Jr stuff 30-50% off. We picked up the Jungle Junction playset (didn't even know it existed) for 19.96. Regular price was 56.99.

No, I didn't! It was $39.99. I know it's only $9.99 but, that could be a QS meal or a couple of snacks!

When I went to Target on Friday they had an entire aisle of toys marked for 30% already. Not the large selection I am used to so I'm hoping it was just the start of other items being added. I'm trying to think of what it was, the Jungle Junction set mentioned above, there were some stuffed toys for newborns, one baby Cinderella doll, a few cabbage patch kids. Must have been mostly boy stuff because nothing else is coming to mind.
