I both love and hate Target...love due to what they have, hate due to them always getting me to spend my money!

They just got in a new Simply Shabby Chic pattern...it's called Floris, it has yellow flowers with green accents (white background). It's so pretty! That will part me with about $170 when I buy the sheets and duvet...maybe I'll ask for Target gift cards for my birthday. Sad thing is, I still haven't finished my other set...got the sheets, was waiting for a sale for the duvet!

Here's a link:
http://www.target.com/gp/detail.htm...4?_encoding=UTF8&frombrowse=1&asin=B000BU6XGO
(I think it looks much better in person)

They also got these new plates, could not find their picture on line, they are white with sage around the outer rim of the plate, and platinum trim. Beautiful. Now, the last thing I need are new plates...can I resist? This is the evil of Target. Ask my DH.

I think we should start a Target Addicts sub-forum and/or support group! We'll discuss strategies for staying out or Target, resisting the urge to shop, etc. Also convincing others that those purchases are truly necessary and a good thing! Anyone in? :shamrock:

SUBJECT PULLED ME IN... Hello, My Name Is Julie and I am a Target Addict!!!

Uh, hello, my name is Rhonda and yes, I too am a Target addict. I don't go very often but when I do, I thoroughly enjoy the Target shopping experience. Hmm, now that you've brought up this posting, I suddenly have an urge to go!

I love Target! I grew up going to Target and only to Target for stuff (no Wal-mart or K-mart - just Target), and to this day I could spend hours just browsing through the store. DH cannot understand it. I even have a "plan" of my favorite path to take through the store to make sure I hit all my favorite spots. I love it when they have something new in stock!

They just opened a new Target that is even closer to my house! Woo hoo! :cool1: Yesterday was the grand opening, and I've already been twice. Does that count as addicted? :rotfl:

I love Target! Where else can you buy candy corn 90% off?!

I always walk up and down the perimeter of the aisles to look and see what's on clearance.

Target is my retail-therapy outlet of choice. I love Target.

hand raised in shame - I am a Target addict.
I just gave a friend a birthday present today that included a $.49 peppermintini drink mix. It is one of those big buckets you add water and vodka to and freeze. She loved it and the glasses I got her to go with it.
I love a good deal and man oh man do I find them at Target.

Hi! My name is Daisyduck123 & I, too, am a Target addict.

DH hates it because when I go to Target, I'm gone for a longggggggg time.

DD hates it because we "can never get in there & out in less than an hour".

DS8 only tolerates it because it has STAR WARS toys & YU-GI-OH cards! :rotfl:

Hi, my name is Sara and I am a Target addict. I swear you can't leave that store without spending at LEAST $100!

*****SOME TARGET TRIVIA****.....

Did you guys know that Lori Loughlin (Becky from Full House) is married to the guy who started/created the MOSSIMO line of clothing at Target?

Can I play too? Thankfully, or not so much some days, the closest Target is 30 minutes away. So, I don't go as much as I would if there were one closer to me. It does share a parking lot with Hobby Lobby (which I also visit often) and when I go there I have to tell myself "step away from the doors, do not go thru those doors". THE TEMPTATION I TELL YA!!!!

I always walk up and down the perimeter of the aisles to look and see what's on clearance.

I do that, too. I walk for forever, picking things up and sending my husband to the scanner with them. ;)

Sadly for me, I have a Target 10 minutes from me, a second within 15 minutes and 2 more within 20 minutes.

And, I broke down last night and got a Target CC.
I'm doomed....

Okay, all my fellow Target addicts, what are your favorite things to buy at Target? What are the things you get sucked into buying, even if they weren't on your list when you walked in the store?

Some of my personal weaknesses/favorites are:
  • The new Choxie chocolate line (has anyone else had the peanut-butter pretzle chocolate bars?! Yum!)
  • Clothes - especially fun new tops for each season
  • Underwear - this will sound silly, but Target is the only place I can find my favorite kind of underwear in my size! Sometimes even Target doesn't have it, so whenever I find "my" underwear in stock, I buy a bunch and store them at home "just in case". DH doesn't get it and thinks I'm totally silly.
  • Misc. stuff for decorating - a new pair of candle holders, a fun frame, a new set of napkin rings, stuff like that.
  • Jewelry - especially the costume earrings and neclaces.
Anyone else?

I will join in the Target Addicts support group! :cool1: The closest one to me now is an hour away, so EVERY time I take my kids to meet their dad, I have to stop by Target on my way home and spend at least an hour...sometimes two......sometimes longer in there. Hey, I have to get my fix all in one night! :thumbsup2
On the bright side, we do have a new Target in develop plans for my town!! :goodvibes :goodvibes I will be the happiest person in line on opening day! lol

Another Target addict here, but I've got a "secret" source! For anyone in MA or NH who's patient and doesn't mind digging through tons of stuff for treasures, there's a warehouse clearance outlet near me that gets all of Target's returns and all the clearance items that don't sell. They sell most things for 70% off retail, less for clothes & shoes (all $3) and sheets, bedding etc. My best find so far was a $179 pure silk queen size quilt for $15! My Simply Shabby Chic Rosalie collection is starting to take over the house.
They also get stuff from Bon-Ton ($89 Stone Mountain purse - $12) and Value City.
It's called AtoZ Event Sales, in Everett and Lowell MA.
If anyone is hunting for anything recently discontinued at Target, I'd be happy to watch for it for you!
