Target 75% Off Christmas Watch Thread

The schedule usually has 75% on New Years Day. That's the tradition. I take down my Christmas that day and always add my Christmas purchases at the time so I don't lose them during the year. I don't lose them....I just forget them.

I was at my local Target. Christmas stuff was very picked over and at 50% off, candy at 30% off still.

I didn't check the toy department since my kids don't want toys anymore - they want video games.

I just got back from the Target nearest my office on my lunch break...75%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It must have just changed in the computer because the signs were all still 30/50%. But everything rang up 75%!

I got:

several boxes of the seasonal Quaker Chewy Granola Bars, $.57
Archer Farms dip mixes and cheese ball mixes (NOT Christmas packaging!) which can be used year round and are great for hostess gifts $.49 and $.74
(White Chocolate Amaretto something dessert cheese ball, Bruschetta cheese ball, Salsa cheese ball, Spinach Dip and Feta/Olive Dip)
Smucker's Ice Cream Sundae pack with two tan bowls, 3 jars of sauces and an ice cream scoop $3.74

Triangular boxes of Kleenex (in tissue aisle, not with clearance and NOT marker, they look like slices of pie and cake) for $.62

Ours was still 50% off and really nothing that jumped out at me...other than 1 ornament and some gift tags. I went ahead and bought my Christmas cards for next year because they only had 1 of the pattern I liked left, knew it wouldn't make it to 75%. I am justifying it by telling myself if I went back at 75% or 90% that I'd spend more money then I needed too just because the prices were good and I'd spend more in gas then I would have saved on the Christmas cards anyway LOL

WOW Bren's Mom.. great finds! I always envy people on the boards who find such great practical stuff. Ours is REALLY picked through by the day after Christmas (and we're talking 3 different Targets I check!) The one I went to today was 50% still and down to 2 rows of mostly junk. The things I saw and wanted I just got at 50%. I'm hoping to get some LEDs but will wait until at least 75%. There were quite a few lights left. I went to this same Target on Sunday and there was MUCH more. Can't believe how quickly it all went!

My Target has a lot at 75% off...but nothing I needed.

All the wrapping seemed to be 75%. Same with stockings and ornaments (which there were A TON of).

There wasn't much "home" stuff and what there was was still 30%-50%.

My target was at 75%. Got a few boxes, gift tags, bows, and one roll of wrap. Hoping to hit up another target to see if they have any wrap left.

I happened to be in Target price matching a video game, and saw the workers setting up the clearance shelves for the holiday stuff, with the 75% off signs. I would've bought some wrapping stuff and food treats had I had more time, but I still managed to spend 100. I ended up with 3 storage totes (4/each), 3 dog outfits (2.50/each), a bunch of Minnie&Mickey Xmas plates, cups, and trays (.74-2.50), spoon and knife sets (3.74/each), 2 plain green pillows (3.50/each), 3 dog toys (3.50/each), a bunch of presents in the Target holiday gift packaging (2.50-4.99), a pack of wrapping tissue, and a black Mickey head bowl at FULL price (9.99). Some other lady had a red one that was on clearance, but I couldn't find another , and I didn't think a bribe would work...

That's awesome! I'm going later this evening but I'm pretty sure it's still at 50%. Seems to stay there for awhile. And things were already looking pretty picked over so who knows if there will be anything worth buying when it does finally go to 75%.
Walmart was really picked over too. I wonder if they ordered less merchandise or if it's really being snapped up that quickly......

SE PA; still 50% this a.m., candy was 30%. But they were marking down toys like MAD. At least five workers beeping away; I picked up Imaginext Dragon Fortress for 50% off (cheapest I've ever seen), but most were 30% off.

Just back, ours is still at 50%, I went ahead and got some tissue paper tho, it was $1.25 for the pack of 38 sheets and .50 cents for the packs of 20, the larger pack has red, green & white in it, that will go with my Christmas wrap, the smaller packs were all white, that will go in with my regular wrap. I almost got some bows but decided I didn't want to, I love bows but I'll wait. I did find some of the big boxes of Fun Dip, I give that to DBF (he loves the sticks), those were half off even tho most of the candy was only 30% off. I might go back tomorrow...I might not, they didn't have any of the gift boxes left at all but there were a few other items I was interested in.

As others have mentioned, the stocks seemed to be minimal this year. I went to Walmart yesterday and they had one cart and a small box of wrapping paper left...and it was all hideous.

Current has some cards on sale for next to nothing...I'll get those since they're offering free shipping right now, too.

Most everywhere around here had Christmas paper half off as soon as they put it out...and JoAnns marked their Christmas things 75% off the second week of December!

If this is the new trend I'd rather wait for next year rather than having to store everything for a year!

I was in Milwaukee today and stopped in a Target and it said 50 percent off and my things rang up at 75. tons of stuff 5 rows.

Target in AZ still at 50% and 30% for candy....ok selection but not amazing.

has anyone ever tried calling stores to see if the stuff is 75% instead of dropping by? I'm too lazy to go to Target everyday

I went tonight to both Target and Walmart. Both were still at 50% off. Walmart had way more than Target did. I hope I can catch it right when it goes to 75% because there was lots of stocking stuffers, gift bags, cards and wrapping paper.

The Buckhead Target on Peachtree by Phipps in Atlanta is at 75%, candy is 50%
I got some throws that I can use all year they were $12.99, 75% off that.
I debated getting some plates and I got them. I did need them it was not impulse so, got set of 8 salad, 8 bowls and 8dinner plates for less than $30.
Toys were only at 15% and 30%. Not much left in terms of stocking stuffer toys. Tons of cards, led lights, paper. No bows( fancy bows I should say) they had the bag of bows, no tissue papper. Down stairs they had the Smith and Hawkins stuff at 75% that was a good deal if you need/like that. Smith and Hawkins usually do not go to 75% until after the New Year.

Lots of stockings.
