Target 20% off coupon

Had the same problem on one of my other credit cards one time. I was able to get around it by making a $10k payment to my account. I think my available credit was $5k at the time so I was able then to make a $13k purchase.

I was thinking of doing this with my Target card. Maybe it will work this time, unlike a couple years ago??

Just came from target and asked.

The check out clerk told me the debit card has no limit but I'm questioning now due to what was written above.

I also told her my plan and that I was nervous the 20% wouldn't work on the gift cards. She said it will work, and the managers know it's coming so they stocked up the Disney gift cards. She showed me... Literally thousands... Probably 20 racks of thousands!!!

Fingers crossed for us all! Now how to pay!! Haha

We were on the fantasy this week and I wanted to buy something to get the coupon but the internet was working unusually poorly yesterday. Never got a transaction to go through. Anyone have an extra 20 percent off they aren't using?

Disney will return the funds to cards. You can't return the cards because you would have scratched the security strip in the back to get the full card number. If untampered they could be returned.

Interesting. Someone posted on the Budget Board that her husband is a manager at Target and they were doing some sort of pre-test of the coupon this evening. She said it did NOT work on the Disney cards - in fact, scanning a Disney card brought up a screen on the register that said it was not allowed & there is no way for a cashier to do a manual override. She said he tried a Starbucks card, too - same story.

Not sure why there are such differing reports from Target stores. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.

I read this too... But I don't believe it. Are you referring to post about woman who's husband works for Target as a manager and tried to use the coupon and it wouldn't allow Disney cards? Until tomorrow and everyone with the coupon actually tries it- I'm not going to believe anything.

That's the spirit! I have a feeling stores may differ, we may have to travel around town. Can't wait to hear results from East Coast tomorrow morning...

Well I'm not sure if it's true or not, but I will tell you the amount of Disney gift cards I saw outnumbered all other types of gift cards combined.

They might be basing their order on last year's sales, when we all went crazy with the $10 off $50 FB offer, and many people bought 1000's of cards.

I don't face book - anyone seen any coupons this year?

I tried using my Target coupon of $15 off $150 yesterday but it was denied because a portion of the purchase included iTunes gift cards. The cashier tried to over ride it and also called the manager but it was denied. This leads me to believe that non-Target gift cards will not be eligible for the 20%off promo. I'm interested to see what people say

Just tried it. Had 100 gift cards and when scan coupon it said not valid for item. This was in Fishers, Indiana. Perhaps elsewhere people will have better luck.
