Target 20% off coupon

Can you buy a $75 GC for target online on BF and then use it to go in store and get the 20% off between Dec1-7? Do gift card purchases count as the initial purchase? Or does it need to be hard goods? I read the coupon and it can be used online, but just wondering if buying a target GC will activate the bonus coupon.

It probably won't, as usually the purchase of gift cards (and the Target gift card is truly a gift card) is excluded from any discounts or purchases. It might, but why chance it? Is there NOTHING at Target that you want or need? I can spend $75 at Target without opening my eyes, without a cart, by merely thinking of a few things I need.

LOL, Nancy, me too! :rotfl2: I'm thinking about the extra's I'll buy like Bounty, TP, Gain/Tide, tissue, etc. and just a few more and I'll easily be at my $75 and get what I need! I also didn't want to chance it with buying the Disney cards to get to the $75 because I *need* the 20% coupon more :)

Haha oh I can spend it no problem- but was wondering, since I'm in Canada and won't be back down to US until the 7th. (Plus everything I buy, I need to haul home!) I was thinking id order a gift card and then get the coupon, go into store on arrival day and buy gift cards for that weeks trip to WDW and DCL. But I will just order the Lego sets the kids wanted for Christmas and have them ship to the hotel with my other BF/CM deals and hide them from the kids in my suitcase.

Here's my plan. Go in and buy 2 Disney GC's on Black Friday. Then get my 20% off coupon to use on the other Disney GC's that I plan to buy. And use my Target Red card to do all.

I think it'll work.

Can you use the Disney gift cards to pay your cruise bills at the end of the cruise?

I placed my GC's on my account on the first day. That way I knew it would be there before they charged my card. But then I already knew from my excursions that I'd far exceed the amount if cards placed on the account.

Where can I find the dad for 20% coupon if you spend $75 or more on BF. I called target yesterday, the man knew nothing about it. If it is try and I can get the 20% off are you able to use it for transactions in the store and then online for the same day, just like target allows you to do so for the extra 5% off pharmacy on your shopping day. When I called target they said you can only buy 10, $50 Disney GC at a time online and in the store. Maybe I could just do multiple transaction since I'm trying to get more than $1000 in coupons to pay for my cruise. Any insight please?

I've bought more than 10 of the $50 Disney gift cards at a time and had no problem.

The description of it (just as 20% off) is on the last page of the black friday ad (which can be previewed). Someone posted a picture of it an Apple products and some other are specifically excluded. It is a ONE TIME coupon, so no, you can't use in the store and then online.

Can you make more than one purchase on BF for $75 each to get more than 1 coupon for 20% off. Say I have $150 worth of products, 2 transactions, get 2 - 20% coupons? Also I think there was a thread that you can get the 20% off from online purchases that say too, is that correct?

Yes, this is true - online I believe the max you can order of the Disney cards is in the 10 range. I just pretended I was ordering online and it lets you order 10, but no more. If you try and change the quantity up, it lowers it to 10 automatically.

Also, the Disney gift cards don't stay in stock online very well so for those really wanting them, I'd go to the store if it was really important to you, if you can :)

It says 'limit, one per customer' but usually there is no way for Target to prevent you from lining up twice.

Nancy

Personally, I'd be surprised if they allowed the coupon on gift card purchases. Most stores do not allow it. Although it may not say it in the coupons fine print, Target's coupon policy does state that they reserve the right to limit, deny, and restrict the use of coupons.

As others have said they are entertainment cards not gift cards. I routinely use my Target employee discount (10% off) with my red card 5% off when purchasing large quantities of Disney gift cards (up to $1400 in one transaction) with no problems. I have no doubt the 20% will work on Disney gift cards. I will definitely be stocking up on more to pay off upcoming Disney World and cruise trips! Love free Disney money! :cool1:

I agree. I also use my pharmacy rewards on the Disney cards with no problem. I just recently bought iTunes "gift cards" using both red and pharmacy as well when they had 10% off iTunes. I see that the 20% coupon specifically calls out that Apple cards are not allowed on this coupon, so I believe that Disney would be called out if not allowed.
