Taping of XMas parade 12-6 and 12-7, 2013

Does anyone know who will be featured at the the taping of the XMas Parade at WDW this year 2013? Do you need to get advance tickets?

From what I understand, general park tickets get you in for those days.

General park tix... They are very hush hush about performers... At least they were 2 yrs ago when they were there... It ended up being Justin Bieber and my daughter just about passes out! We heard rumors of popular young male singer and figured it to be him.. Security said they didn't know if it was him & gave us a wink! So we rearranged the following mornings breakfast & my daughter & I stood near the castle for his whole spot! My son and hubby lived it cause the rides were empty!!

My girls would have died! We saw Whoopi Goldberg on our way to BBB last year- she was in a royal coach- and they though it was pretty awesome that she said hi to them and called them princesses.

Back in 2009, I bumped into (literally), the Jonas Brothers. They were nice. TONS of screaming girls around though...it was pretty nuts. Also, Celine Dion performed at the GF that year.

Coincidentally, I'll be there again for this year's parade, but might just hit another park that day.

My daughter is a dancer with the big group of cheerleaders and dancers that are performing - we are all waiting to find out who will be the performers : Disneyland hosted nic cannon, Demi lovato, Jordan sparks , David cerulo , Mary j bilge and some disney show performers .
So we figure they have a " boy band" and maybe a country star, pop artist at disneyworld taping - looking at who is on top right now and "disney style" These are our guesses is might be ?? Maybe??? Jonas brothers? Or one of the boy bands ??? Selena Gomez? Kelly Clarkson? Taylor swift ?? Carrie underwood? Blake Shelton , Miranda Lambert. As for who will host ???? Nic cannon hosted in Disneylad - so it won't be him ? Just our pics - we should know soon! We arrive on the 4th and should get the schedule for taping then . I will post it when we get it

It won't be the Jonas Bros. as they have broken up....

We'll be there and are planning on checking out the taping...depending on how crazy we feel it is. (comparing to say...NYC subway at rush hour, we have a fairly high tolerance for this type of thing). LOL

My daughter and I were just trying to come up with some "Boys band" acts as a possibility that fit the "Disney" bill, and might be a possibility at the parade taping. It obviously wont be Beiber! since he is been in a bit of trouble lately LOL! There has to be some Top Teen Boy/Boys at the taping?? Just wonder who??

. . . this is not public knowledge until much closer to the parade date
. . . they do not want to let evil-doers know who is performing

Do you need to get advance tickets?
. . . not for normal park hours
. . . however, the taping starts about 7:00am
. . . those with early entry are CM's, actors, and a few advance guest tickets
. . . with normal entry, you get to stand BEHIND the other people on the parade route
. . . usually only paid actors and CM's get to stand at the curb-line
. . . this way, WDW has control over t-shirts and possible hand gestures *
. . . the taping goes all day with MANY re-stagings of the parade segments
. . . each segment may take 2-3-4-5-etc takes before that segment is done
. . . the "parade" is NEVER done as one continuous parade like afternoon or night parades


* Three years ago, there was a guest that gave a "salute" to the cameras,
and it was not caught in editing. When it aired, Disney got lots of phone
calls!

We were there two years ago when Justin Beiber and Jennifer Hudson performed. I was surprised at the fact that it was not crowded at all, however that may have been due to the lack of advertising. It was a lot of fun. I'm excited we'll be there again this year!

Dj Pauly D from jersey shore is suppose to be at down town Disney the day of the parade.I think at 12:30 or 1:30 to sign his new head phones for sale. So he will more then likely be a guest in the parade that day.

What happens these days that they're taping the parade? I'm going to be there these days and just found out they're doing the parade taping.

Main Street is really busy as they tape the parade. The floats stop and restart for different camera angles and they pump up the crowd during the performances. We chose to ride the rides since the wait times were practically nonexistent due to everyone watching the taping.

So still no new on our end! We were told by the event organizers we would have an update or schedule last week. Maybe in Monday! If I find anything out infill update!
