We found out last week that the type of cancer is breast cancer. (I mentioned this in the previous post.) This has me freaking out b/c my mom (her daughter) had breast cancer about 8 yrs ago and had a double mastectomy. I have already had issues with lumps, and they have at least all turned out to be benign cysts. But I was diagnosed with fibrocystic disease, which is like a pre-cursor to the breast cancer, just like my mom and grandmother had. I told Dan I am ready to go have them chopped off before anything happens!!!! I just wonder if I can find a decent doctor to do it and say that it is medically necessary so the insurance will pay for it.
The only good thing to come out of all of this is that my family from England is here. I love them sooooo much!!!

My mom's sister (Aunt Melanie) moved there when she was in college and then married and stayed there. She lives in Brighton in Sussex. I've lived with her during summers when I was younger and became really close to her and my 3 cousins. In the past 10 years, we haven't been able to see each other due to schedules and $$. So they never met my DH or my kids. But the whole family flew over here when we got the news, and they are actually taking care of my Grandmother so she was able to come home and not have to stay in the hospital.
It has been wonderful to see them again, and they just love my DH and my children, as if they have known them all along. It has left me and Dan questioning whether or not we should try to do our at home reception now, while the family is all together. At the same time, we don't need to add any more stress to the already stressfull situation.
Anyway, I have done nothing wedding related at all. I have barely even worked unless I had appointments that I had to keep. I have not called to book our at home reception date and site, or anything. I figure it can wait.
I did get my 3 cousins into the studio and took some awesome pics of them. I'll have to post some later.
I also scanned in some wedding pics out of a bridal magazine before all of this went down. They are so beautiful! I look at the pics and it's like going to my happy place. I wish I could afford to have this much floral at our ceremony!!!

Maybe I'll win the lottery!
I love these purple ones!!! I think they are my favorite!
