Tanya & Dan's VR DCL!!!Dec 4, 2009 MK & Epcot Photoshoot Pics Posted

OK, such cute STD's! And the fun size candy wrapper is too cute!

Your STD's are soooo cute!!

As for the cake....some hints for the Romantic Castle Kit...the pillars don't like to stand up very well, so remind him to anchor them with some Royal Icing, or even better, put a wooden dowel rod inside the plastic turrets. AND....They DON"T TRANSPORT WELL AT ALL!!!! This is definalty one he's going to have to assemble at the reception site! That may factor into your decision!

Cool cookie jar! Very impressive your husband made your wedding cake! I do cake decorating too.

I don't think you're allowed to bring something like an arch for the CC weddings. Maybe on deck - I don't know. I'm Jewish and I asked about a chuppah but was told they don't do anything like that...I asked if I could rent one and have them set it up and I was told no. Maybe things changed since then. I'll ask Brianna.

My DH does it for fun. He says it is too stressfull to do it for someone else!:rotfl:
The arch is for our at home stuff. When Cathy was still there, she said no arches!

Thanks! I stole part of them off the net, but I love that they are fun. I was hoping to order them as magnets today, since I have freebies from Vistaprint, but I couldn't confirm the date. I called to reserve the park - at a whopping $5.00/hr, but they had someone else who hadn't decided between dates. So I have to wait a week until they decide. I don't think it is fair to hog up more than one date like that. But that's my Bridezilla side coming out!

Thanks for the hints!! I'l let Dan the man know, and we'll have to see how hard it is. I hope he can do it pretty easily.

Here are some project boards I put together while the internet was down at work today. I can't do anything without the net, so I've been really board.
One is for the ship, and one is for our at home party.

I love the Mickey programs created by Irisbud, so I think that I am going to do these. I found this template for them:

My DH called today and said that he got us a fish extender too. I can't wait to see it. I need to get my butt over to the DCL forum so I can make some friends on our cruise!

I need to get started on my FE too! But i keep trying to bid on this new embroidery card for my machine on Ebay and i keep loosing it! It's driving me insane! :lmao:

your inspiration board reminded me of something i was looking at.

what do you think about getting this to go around the railing??

That's gorgeous! Would they put it up for you? I emailed Bree like a week ago about some of this stuff, and I haven't heard back from her.

I just wanted to pop by and say hey!!! I ran through some of your PJ quickly and I love all your ideas and DIY projects. Your kids are adorable! I almost bought the exact wedding gown so obviously we both have good taste! I can't wait to hear more!!

Thanks! LOL! I love your dress too! And BTW, Figment was my favorite ride when I was little. I don't know what all they changed on it, but it's different and not at funny. I got a little stuffed Figment when I was like 6, and I still have it!

Yeah, Bree doesn't seem to be any quicker to respond than Cathy was. :lmao: I don't know if they would put it up....it's worth a shot to ask! I just think the white bows on the railing of the ship are plain, and I think teh Garland would spruce it up a bit!

So here is all the stuff that's been going on -
Here is our trial run with the gel stuff. We used 3 or 4 tablespoons of the stuff and it expanded so much that we had to keep putting it in larger bowls! It's fun to play with too. Here it is in hot pink:

Also, here is some of the craft stuff that I have for my floral arrangements. I really want to drag these on the ship somehow, and I don't know how I am going to do that yet.
These are the glittery twigs, birds, and butterflies. I want to feel like a Disney princess with all the little creatures around:

Here is one of the Mickey pomanders. I want to put a stick in it and make a topiary out of it.

I'll have to scan the picture in. If you look, you'll see that my son isn't in it. Funny story - we were playing at Cinderella's fountain outside the castle while waiting for our reservation. Well, my son sat on it and got the backside of his pants all wet. He is newly potty trained, so he got upset by this. Then when we went in to see Cinderella, he got really upset since he was worried that she would think that he peed his pants!:rotfl:It's funny, but poor kid! I feel for him. We tried to explain to him that she would never notice that his pants were wet, and it was fine to go see her, but when we got to our turn, he ran and hid. (Awww) He said that he couldn't be her prince charming with wet pants! :lmao: She thought that this was sweet, but we couldn't convince him to come over with us. We were holding up the line, so they snapped the shot w/o him and moved us along.
Here is one of my DD w/ Cindy. I can't remember if I posted this or not, but it brought tears to my eyes! She loves Cindy sooo much.

We ordered this off of ebay through seller Gradysmommy. I don't have the patience to do this! Plus she has really cool embroidery machine. It says Cruising with Mickey at the Top, and then The Downs Family in the Mickey head. Then our names are on the pockets!! This is sooo cute, she did a really good job.
Then we also got pillow cases from her- One for each kid. These are for the characters to sign

Also, here is my DD's mickey hawaiian dress. I scored this one on Ebay for $7.00!!!

Here are my pew bows that I got way back when. I am going to spray paint my little tiki torches white, and tie these on with some sort of floral arrangement for my at home party.

I also got a few more snowglobes from Disney shopping the other day. These were originally $80, and I got them for $15 a piece. I had no idea how big they were!!! They are huge. If I bring them to the park, there is no way they are blowing over. My cookie jar came too, and it was the smallest thing in the box! These 3 things came in a box bigger than me!

I am determined to get all of our wedding pics scanned in the computer to make a photobook with them. I also want to make us a photobook to use as a guest book with us over the past 10 years. So here are some of my favorites. I love this dress sooooo much!! I wish I could motivate myself to lose 30 lbs to fit into it again. It's totally dated now, but I still love it.

This is our dog Sebastian. He is an old, old man now, but still around. I'll have to post a recent pic of him

Our best friend and best man Ray giving a toast. You can see some of the arrangements we used for center pieces. The main centerpiece on each table were these giant wine bottles that we painted and put birch branches in.

Our first dance as husband and wife!! We both totally lost it after this pic and were crying, so the other pics of us look really silly. But we were soooo happy to finally be married to each other. We danced to Shania Twain's From This Moment.

My sweet grandmother

We had fun dancing - here it starts off innocent enough!
wedding15.jpg

And then leave it to my SIL to get down and dirty!!! Dan's dad got so pissed off - it was awful! There was a lot of fighting after this. It's funny now, but it was serious then.

Our bubble exit.
And my fairy tale pic! I love this shot. We use it in all of our wedding photography that we do.

That is precious!!

Mine is going to be so crappy. :sad2: I can't sew for crap!

I have that one too!!

I am determined to get all of our wedding pics scanned in the computer to make a photobook with them. I also want to make us a photobook to use as a guest book with us over the past 10 years.

I want to do this too, and i need to get working on the pictures!!

We danced to Shania Twain's From This Moment.

OMG Too freaky! That was our song too! I was planning on using a mix of From This Moment and You're Still the One for our 1st dance this time, but now i've found Brad Paisley's new song, I thought I loved you then.

I am loving all your ideas and the original wedding pics are awesome! I love the "fairy-tale shot" so sweet!

The pic of your daughter with Cinderella is absolutly adobarble! Such a priceless pic, I can see why you cried, it is so sweet. She looks so genuinly happy and excited! I love it Tanya!

Your poor little guy though with the wet pants! You need a do-over with dry pants for sure:thumbsup2

So I was writing the longest response then my stupid work computer crashed :headache:. So this is a shortened version of what I wanted to say -
I think the story about your son with the wet pants is priceless and you have to write it all down somewhere so that when he is old and gray you can still remind him of what a cute kid he was.

I really love everything that you have purchased so far - it makes me feel like I am behind in thinking about all of the details and frustrated that I can't. Anyhoo all of your crafts look like so much fun - you are so incredibly crafty.

I have to ask - can you please tell me who you got all of the embroidered stuff from on ebay - its all so cute!

If its cheaper to use your arbor and have the ceremony in front of the water than thats what I would do - I think it would be so amazing to have the water behind you in all of your pictures.

Last but not least - and only last because its 3 and so I have to sign on and get to leave work now (yipeeee!) I wanted to tell you how great your wedding photos are! I think you should create a new album with those pictures and then followed by a new chapter with all of your VR pics.

Gotta run. Bye.

My SIL got a fantastic deal on these due to the fact that there is a rhinestone missing out of the buckle detail. It is so tiny, that it is barely noticeable unless they are right up in your face.

So here they are!!!

I haven't been home yet to try them on with my dress!
