My thoughts are with you and your family:flower3:

PS-Love the pics from your Dismeet though, the troll pic is super cute lol!
It's awful. I can't believe that happened to your Grandmother.

We have since found out that what has happened to my grandmother is she had breast cancer that has metastasized all over her body. She got breast cancer about 18 years ago and had a mastectomy. It has never come back since then until now. Appearently she has had it for about 2 years, but none of the doctors were able to diagnose it!! They kept telling her that she had arthritis and diverticulitis and various other things, but somehow they missed the cancer. We've seen her getting frailer, but just figured it was a combination of this stuff and old age.

It wasn't until she fell the other day that we found out. My mom took her to the emergency room to make sure she didn't fracture anything when she fell, and the x-ray revealed that the cancer had spread to all of her bones. How do all these doctors miss this???? It has been so hard and frustrating. The worst part has been watching her deteriorate so rapidly. She's worse and worse everyday.

So sorry about your Grandmother Tanya! You're in my thoughts!
Thank you for your kind words.

I know that, but I wish I could keep her here. At the same time, I hate to see her suffering.
Thanks for your thoughts.

We found out last week that the type of cancer is breast cancer. (I mentioned this in the previous post.) This has me freaking out b/c my mom (her daughter) had breast cancer about 8 yrs ago and had a double mastectomy. I have already had issues with lumps, and they have at least all turned out to be benign cysts. But I was diagnosed with fibrocystic disease, which is like a pre-cursor to the breast cancer, just like my mom and grandmother had. I told Dan I am ready to go have them chopped off before anything happens!!!! I just wonder if I can find a decent doctor to do it and say that it is medically necessary so the insurance will pay for it.

The only good thing to come out of all of this is that my family from England is here. I love them sooooo much!!! My mom's sister (Aunt Melanie) moved there when she was in college and then married and stayed there. She lives in Brighton in Sussex. I've lived with her during summers when I was younger and became really close to her and my 3 cousins. In the past 10 years, we haven't been able to see each other due to schedules and $$. So they never met my DH or my kids. But the whole family flew over here when we got the news, and they are actually taking care of my Grandmother so she was able to come home and not have to stay in the hospital.

It has been wonderful to see them again, and they just love my DH and my children, as if they have known them all along. It has left me and Dan questioning whether or not we should try to do our at home reception now, while the family is all together. At the same time, we don't need to add any more stress to the already stressfull situation.

Anyway, I have done nothing wedding related at all. I have barely even worked unless I had appointments that I had to keep. I have not called to book our at home reception date and site, or anything. I figure it can wait.

I did get my 3 cousins into the studio and took some awesome pics of them. I'll have to post some later.

I also scanned in some wedding pics out of a bridal magazine before all of this went down. They are so beautiful! I look at the pics and it's like going to my happy place. I wish I could afford to have this much floral at our ceremony!!! Maybe I'll win the lottery!

I just cannot believe the month I am having. If things weren't already bad enough with my Grandmother, we got into a really bad car accident this past Tues. night.

We were on our way to the beach for some R&R after helping take care of my Grandmother for the whole week. We were driving our minivan and had my cousin Tasha with us. My DH was driving, I was in the passenger seat, and the kids were in their car seats - thank God. We had our camera equipment with us - as we always do and my laptop. We were almost to the beach when out of nowhere we were hit head on at 60 mph.:headache:

It is a miracle that I am even able to sit here today and write this. I honestly believe that God was with us b/c while we all had to be taken away in ambulances, none of us were seriously injured. We are all bumped and bruised, and have a few broken bones, but overall, we are ok. I can't believe that we could walk away from that. Of course our van is totalled and the drunk driver has only minor injuries, but we are alive, and I am so grateful!

The drunk driver was arrested at the hospital that night and has 7 charges against him. Of course he was driving on a suspended license and had someone else's car with no insurance. It has become a nightmare. We are going to have to hire a lawyer to deal with all of this. My camera and my computer are also trashed. I am soooooooooo upset about my camera, and it will probably be weeks before we see any action from the insurance company to fix or replace it. This also means that I can't work, since I have no camera and no computer for the office. I have a fractured ankle with torn ligaments, and a lot of internal bruising, so I am not able to get around either. My kids are ok, but my cousin got the worst of the injuries. I feel so bad for her. But overall, I am really angry :mad::mad: at the drunk driver. It was 7:30pm - it wasn't even late. He had beer cans all over the floor of the car and was drinking another can of beer when he hit us!!!!! Who does that???

I feel as if my life has just been completely turned upside down. I haven't even been able to visit my Grandmother since the accident. I really hope that things start to get better soon. I miss VR planning. I miss things being fun and normal. Hopefully, once we get all of this sorted out, I'll be able to return to some wedding stuff.

Oh my gosh Tanya! My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family for a speedy recovery

Oh my god. What an absolute nightmare. I cannot begin to imagine what you are going through. I know this is absolutely horrible for you, and I am sure everyone is saying this to you, but thank god no one was hurt.

:grouphug:I'll be thinking of you guys and I hope everything gets straightened out soon so you can get back to the fun things in life. Again, I am so happy no one got hurt. That's the most important thing.

I just read your entire PJ and enjoyed it so much! You have so many wonderful ideas and your children are just beautiful!!!

That being said, I am so sorry to hear about your grandmother. :grouphug:

Then I read about your accident!!! :scared1: That is horrible! I'm so glad that you are OK. I feel so badly for you because everything is happening all at one time. Things will only get better from here, I'm sure.

Please know that I'm thinking about you and your family. :grouphug:

My thoughts are with you and your family. I am glad no one was seriously injured.

I am so glad that none of you were seriously hurt! I feel so bad for you guys!!!!!! I can't imagine going through something like that - and actually surviving.

I hope you feel better and that things return to normal soon! :goodvibes

I have been a lurker on your PJ, (I'm a fellow DCL VR bride). But I wanted to tell you I'm so glad you're not seriously hurt. I will be thinking about you and your family. Sending you some good vibes. :goodvibes

Oh my God- That is so terrible- I am so sorry this happened! I am so glad you and your DH and your beautiful children are ok!! I can't even imagine how awful this is for you right now, on top of everything else. Sending you hugs :grouphug: and prayers...

Tanya-I just wanted to let you know that I've been thinking about you. I am so sorry that all of this is happening to you. I am so glad that you made it out of the wreck okay. I just don't understand why people do the things they do sometimes. My husband and I got side swiped by a drunk driver one night. She was so wasted that she never even knew that she hit us. Once the cops finally chased her down and got her to pull over, they had to pretty much bust her window out to get her out of the car. So sad. And most of these people get off scott-free. I sure hope that the driver that hit you pays for what he did. But like everyone else has said, the most important part is that you and the rest of your family are all okay.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family. So glad you are all ok.

hugs
Tanya

Tanya my thoughts are with you.

There are certainly some very stupid people out there! I am so glad that you and your family are not seriously hurt.

Take Care and get fighting fit soon

Hugs
Viccie
