Have booked the middle package for my daughter.

Do most people who are taking their own costume take it in a nice bag or something and then just go in to the boutique with it and change in to it after the hair and makeup or do they go to MK in the dress already??

I think it would depend on what time your appointment is. We have DD's 1st thing in the a.m. so she just wears the dress into the park and then we take a change of clothes for later.

we went dressed into the park early start at 8am our appointment was dinner time and on arrival DD was boiling and falling asleep. Once inside the 30 mins wait cooled us down and sent her to sleep had to wake her when it was her turn.
On reflection, given the heat, I would take the dress in a bag and once inside BBB get changed there loads of little girls doing the same thing

We have done it a few different ways, 1st time we went it was when DTD was the only option. We bought the dress there and they had a changing room for her to change into just before the makeover. The next 3 times we took a costume with us - once we changed her just before going in as our appointment was around 3pm and the other two times she just arrived already wearing the costume and we took a change of clothes for later, although she totally refused to take the costume off until she went to bed lol.
So I agree with other posters, it all depends on your appointment time really.
Don't forget to go for the free photoshoot!

We have done this twice for my DD and both times we had the middle package and took our own dress.

When we booked in for our appointment they asked us if we had a dress and took us to the changing area in the BBB.....this was fab as my daughter loved changing in the BBB.

You change into your dress before your hair and make up is done.

DD has done the middle package 3 times and has always worn her own dress.

I usually book an early morning apt and she just wears the dress to the appointment.

There is a cubicle to change in at the DTD and castle BBB.

We had an early booking in MK and she went dressed up (taking a change for later in the day). As our daughter was 11, she didn't want to wear a princess dress so we bought her a very pretty one from Monsoon instead. I would recommend the early booking so they get the longest possible time to be a princess :)
