After our windy adventure on the deck we headed back to the room to get ready for the evening show. Tonight was Pirate Night so we all dressed up in our Jack Sparrow Tiki shirts and headed down to the Walt Disney Theatre.
I love all of the main shows but the Golden Mickey's is just such a fun show I couldn't wait to see it again. It never gets old. We again grabbed four seats right in the back of the theatre near the sound booth and sat back and waited for the show to begin.
We were entertained by Rona Rivers on the big screens while waiting for the main show, she was really good and the kids they selected were pretty funny. We all got a kick out of it.
The show began and John and I loved every minute of it, John's favorite part is when Elvis Stitch shows up and I really like the Princess section. Very nice.
The ending song is something like "who knows what a dream may come"...and they show loads of pictures of Walt growing up and working on his dreams and once again I was in tears. Needless to say Walt is one of my heros and the video is really touching. He's made many dreams come true for both of us and his creations continue to.
Enough sap...

Here are some photos of the Golden Mickey's...
Sue really enjoyed this one and she said it was her favorite thing so far on the cruise and totaly made up for her disinterest in Hercules.
After the show we headed down to the lobby to take our photos with the characters in their pirate garb. Sadly we missed Pirate Stitch one of our favorites, he'd been out in the morning which is a change from when he appears on the four night cruise. Oh well, next time.
We did however find Minnie and Mickey!
The character interaction onboard is great, we've never felt silly for taking our pictures or acting goofy with the character and they are always out and about and the lines aren't nearly as long as they seem to be on land at the parks. A++++
We checked out some more pins and scored four more pins we'd been looking for from the trading book, yahoo, before heading off to our dinner in Triton's. This being our first three nighter we would be having the normal Triton's menu instead of the pirate menu this time like we were use to. We tried to get John and Sue to try the escargot but no go, I told them it was just like little buttered mushrooms but they weren't buying it.
Sadly I didn't take any photos of dinner tonight but it was really yummy as always. I had the escargot and mixed greens salad and for my entree Beef Tenderloin, we skipped desert so that we would have some room for the Pirate buffet after tonight's party. We would have skipped dinner altogether but since this was John Sr. and Sue's first cruise we wanted them to try all the rotational restaurants so we ate lightly instead.
While we finished up our drinks John got up and ran ahead of us to search for some tables for the Pirate Party, this is the only real downfall to the really late seating is that it's tough to find a good spot for the party if you stay for your entire meal. So John being my hero ran ahead to try.
John Sr and Sue wanted to go to the room for a bit before the party so I bid them farewell and headed up to find John. I was happy to see he had found a table and three chairs next to where we had been seated for the Sailway Party, this was going to be great, at least that's what I thought. The table happened to be right in front of the light guy so we had to move, bummer. I grabbed another chair from the back of the deck and we pulled them up to the railing near the aft funnel. John Sr and Sue joined us a few minutes later. We were all decked out in our shirts and pirate bandanas from dinner and I had my light up Tinkerbelle from lunch the week before clipped in my hair which got lots of compliments. I was ready to rock!
This would be our first Pirate's party since the Ariel View screen had been installed and I was really excited to see how it would add to the party. It really helped for those of us up on deck 10 as we got a big screen view of the action below on deck 9 without being in the middle of it.
To be continued...
