Hi can anyone tell us what if any arrangments we need to make to take a godchild with us to WDW

We took my DH's 12 year old niece with us this year to WDW and no one asked for any documentation confirming that she was allowed to travel with us, despite the difference in surname. We had a letter written by my sister-in-law giving her permission for the trip but we were never asked to show it... :)

Written permission from her parents authorising you to make decisions if she should need medical treatment is a must, I think :)

yes we took our eldest son's GF on our last trip , she was 16.

We had a signed letter as mentioned giving us permission to take her out of the country & full permission to make decisions in a medical emergency.

We offered the letter at immegration but they said it was ok but I wouldn't have taken her without it.

Also make sure she's covered by medical insurance she may need her own.

Absolutely, we made sure DH's niece had her own travel insurance. The letter written by my SIL also gave permission for my DH to make any emergency medical decisions as he was acting in loco parentis.
