I am trying to fit ohana breakfast into our plan, staying at the yacht club, will have two kids ages 7 and 2 with me. I am not traveling with any car seats. If I wanted to take a taxi from yacht club to polynesian early in the morning is it possible to arrange for the taxi to have both a car seat and a booster seat in the taxi? Ds7 is tall, not sure exactly what the Florida state law requires for booster seat use, if someone could clarify that would be very helpful. Would a taxi have a car seat for my two year old? I think disney tranaportstion will eat up a lot of time. Thanks for any I for about taxis with kids at wdw.

You can request a car seat, I'm almost positive they are prepared for it. Likewise, I'm sure you can get away without needing one for your 7 yo. We've been using taxis at WDW since DS was 5 and he's little for his age, didn't have to have a booster.

Yep. We took a taxi from POFQ to Beach Club for breakfast at Cape May when DS was 6 and didn't need a booster. I eased DW's mind by pointing out that there were no booster seats on the Disney buses.

Booster seats are needed to lift a child so that inflated air bags don't crush the child. Therefore, no need on a bus.

We've started to use taxis to arrive for ADR's. We also used a taxi to Downtown Disney after just missing an afternoon bus.

Taxis can be more convenient, but do not assume that drivers know what they are doing. All the construction around Downtown Disney confused our driver and caused our metered fare to increase a few $$.

Schedule in buffer time for the taxi. When we used one, we specified we needed an infant/rear facing seat and the taxi came with a booster. We had to have another one called.

Your 7yo will not need a booster under FL state law. New stricter laws are going into affect Jan 1, but even these laws only require boosters for under 6 years of age.
