Taking a Cab from GF to POR

We have 6:15 ressies at park Fare and after need to get back to POR asap and get V to bed for an early am the next day. Taking the monorail and then the bus will be 40 min and a car ride is estimated at 10 min. So I'm thinking that we will take a cab.
2 questions, how do I get a cab? and V is 5, we won't have a booster seat for the car, so can we still take a cab?

The front of GF as in the front desk or the outside front entrance?

are they very quick? If it could take a long time, I just wonder if we may then be better off taking the monorail/bus if it might take a while.
