We were on the 12/8 sailing with our 3 y.o. She (and we) had an absolute blast. I just booked 2/1/03. But, at that point we'll also have a 9 to 10 month old in tow. What do you think about a 4 y.o. plus a 10 month old? Are we wasting our money?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I don't think you will be wasting your money. We are in a similar situation. We are scheduled for the 12/20 western cruise. We have a 7 year old and my son will be about 11 months old when we go. We could not think of any other vacation that would provide all of us with some fun. I think it will be more hands-on than previous cruises without the baby, but still a good time. I am curious to read what others who have done it say, but I am looking forward to it..

We are taking our dd who is 4 and our ds who is 5 months on the 2/23 cruise this week. I'll let you know how it goes.

We did the 7 day Sept before last with 6 year old and 9 mnth old. Had a blast, cruising is so convenient with kids, don't have to get in the car, etc. Any way my baby was great!! Never ate any of the baby food I brought, there was plenty of stuff on board to feed him, he was still drinking formula but liked it cold so I brought some bottled water and powder and made it that way. Just bring an umbrella stroller to use until you get on the ship then you can check out one of theirs from the service desk. If you want to use Flounders get there early, it may have changed but at that time we got there at 2:00 and for his age all of the night time appointments were taken. He would usely sleep in the stroller for about an hour and a half each day and on sea days we were able to use the nursery for 3 hours each day and that was a good enough break. My baby even enjoyed all the shows.

I have the same problem. We will have a 4 yr and a then 8 month old on our cruise in April. I look foward to reading some tips ones may have.
Congrats on your new little one!

Kim

We're taking our 12-mo. old on 5/11/02. Some tips I've picked up are: 1)Book Flounders Reef early--you can cancel w/4 hours notice; 2)Request a Pak-n-Play crib and Diaper Genie for your room; 3)They have a machine w/cold milk available 24 hours. We can't wait!
