Take Small Children By The Hand....a Sept Trip Report (Baby pics-Page 40)

Beautiful photo's around worldshowcase and in front of the Epcot ball...especially loved the one with Madison's surprised face looking at Tink!

That pizza looked massive and very good!

Think I want to try Kim Possible missions now, will take a note of the ones you thought were best...I was researching Las Vegas and saw that one of the hotel's offers a CSI experience where you take on the role of detective, work in the lab, solve clues etc and it made me think of Kim possible and Disney getting there first with the interactive clue solving experience!

I wonder what the most number of rides on Soarin' a day is? Five is amazing! my grand total of rides on Soarin' in my whole life out of 6 disney trips is...1!:rotfl: I need to work on that!

Looking forward to reading more!

Thanks! We love spending time in WS.

I wish we could have boxed up the pizza and taken it with us (they offered), but who wants to carry around a pizza box for the rest of the evening?

KP missions can be a lot of fun, but frustrating at times. I'm a huge CSI fan, so that would be right up my alley!

5 rides on Soarin' definately made my day. It's so relaxing.

I LOVE your Italy PP pictures!! Those are my favorite from our last trip, too. The photographer was so interactive and took a ton of pictures. Those Via Napoli pizza ovens are crazy-- too cool! The pizza looks really yummy, too.
The last PP picture of you guys in front of SE makes up for the one before it-- you guys look great!!

Thanks! I love them and I really want to frame some of them. I haven't even printed out any of my trip photos yet. I don't even have them on FB either!

I love the pizza ovens at Via Napoli. They are so neat.

Thanks!

But see, on your next WDW trip, you'll have a stroller! :goodvibes Strollers are GREAT for that kind of thing. :thumbsup2 We keep saying that even after DD is too big for a stroller (she'll hardly ever sit in one now), we'll still need to push one around to carry our stuff!

Very true, but I still don't think I'd like to carry around a pizza in the heat for a few hours!!! Ew. In all honesty, I couldn't wait for Madison to be done with the stroller. I just hated it. I really don't like to carry around a whole lot of stuff, so getting rid of the stroller was amazing. :goodvibes

I guess I'd only be interested in the specialty drinks! But, I'd love to sample all of the food. However, I'm VERY picky!

So have Tony eat whatever you don't like. Seriously tough, the food is very good. I practically mowed people down on my quest for cheddar cheese soup. :rotfl2:

I loved your pictures from around WS! I always feel like there is so much left to explore in each country and I never have enough time to get it all in!

Whoa, that pizza looks SO good! I really want to try there next trip.

I loved your SE pics from at night. It just really brought me back to our nights there. Can you tell I'm having WDW blues?!

Hahaha....I do remember that from your TR. All of the little stands were up while we were there in Sept, but no menus or anything. I just have a hard time trying new things, but Tony isn't picky at all.

Thanks! There is so much to do and I'm sure someday I'll have seen it all.

The pizza was amazing and I highly recommend it.

I have the WDW blues too. At least I've been getting some leads with my TA job lately, so helping other people plan kind of lets me live through them.

After a great day at Epcot, we slept in a bit until around 8:30am. Tony tried getting internet access, but it wasn't working. So, he had to go to the front desk to pay for it. Madison went with him and they got us breakfast too. They came back with a kids breakfast platter - 2 chocolate chip pancakes with bacon, sausage and chocolate milk and an adult platter - 4 chocolate chip pancakes, bacon, sausage, an everything bagel and orange juice. So yummy! (I didn't eat the bagel).

We left our room around 10:30am to catch a bus to Epcot. A bus came around 10:45am and we were very happy to see it. Once again, the love bugs were absolutely disgusting at the bus stop. Pretty soon, we were at Epcot and we went to exchange our first GAD voucher!!! The CM explained how it worked (which I already knew) and we were on our way quickly. We, of course, had to stop for a few pics.

After our photopass photoshoot, I guess we rode SE before heading over to The Land (where else?). I didn't write it down, but my photos tell another story.

The underside of SE...so cool!

We first grabbed regular FP's for Soarin' (2:42-3:42pm) and then we used our special FP's (which give you an immediate return time) and got in line. After another great ride on my fav ride, we stopped at Club Cool. Madison just loves it here! I really enjoy the ginger ale. I think it's from Germany, but I don't remember. After our quick refreshment stop, we went to Captain EO. I remember seeing this show when I was little and it brought back a lot of memories. Madison didn't get it and wished that they showed more background info about the crew (her words, not mine). When we left the theater, we noticed that Madison didn't have her bag. Tony went racing back in and a CM had it. Phew!!!

By this time, I was in need of a snack. We decided to head to Mexico because I had read about their shrimp tacos.

262.jpg

263.jpg

Would you just look at that posed little leg of hers. Just like mommy posed with the dance team :goodvibes

Well, I wasn't in luck because those are only served at the TS restaurant. :sad1: We settled on the chicken tacos instead and I wasn't disappointed. It came with nachos, churros and a Sprite.

264.jpg

Delish! The meal came with 3 tacos, but I guess we ate one before I snapped a pic.

After our bellies were full (well, not Madison's), we went back to FW to grab FP's for TT (3:25-4:25pm) for Maddie and Tony. We then used our GAD FP's so they could ride immediately. This was around 1:50pm. While they went off to ride, I made my way to where the ride photos come up. For some reason, they weren't working. Tony told me that they hadn't been working the day before either...so we have no ride photos of TT for this trip. :sad1: Anyways...It was nice to sit and relax in the AC for awhile, but I soon realized that they were taking forever! I called Tony around 2:10pm and he said they were just getting on the ride! GRRRR. I was getting very tired of waiting by this point.

They soon made their way off of the ride and we went over to get our Disney Visa picture taken (around 2:30pm). The line was SOOO long!!! I had never seen it like this before. It looked worse than it was because it did more fairly quickly. Soon enough, we were meeting Goofy and Minnie.

Photo0144.jpg

After our meet & greet, we went over to Figment and then we wanted to do Turtle Talk. When we walked over to The Seas, we noticed they were emptying out the line for the ride. We walked in the "back" entrance and noticed that the whole pavillion was dark! Something must have happened, so we made our way back out.

We went back to The Land to use our regular FP's for Soarin'. We got to sit in the front row (score!), but we had very annoying row companions. They clapped, cheered and talked throughout the WHOLE RIDE! This is my biggest pet peeve. It was not an enjoyable ride. We decided to ride Living with the Land before we checked in for dinner, but we first grabbed another set of regular FP's for Soarin' ( 7:03-8:03pm)...this was at 3:45pm. After LwtL, we used another set of GAD FP's and walked into the Soarin' FP line at 4:03pm. We really enjoyed those special FP's!!

By the time we got done with Soarin', it was 4:30pm and it was time for dinner! We raced upstairs to the Garden Grill and checked in. We were seated right away which was awesome. The food was AMAZING and I can't wait to eat here again. The characters were great too.

BEST. DESSERT. EVER.

274.jpg

After dinner, Tony & Maddie went to ride TT with their FP's from earlier in the day and I used our last GAD FP to ride Soarin' alone (around 5:40pm). It was sad to wait in line by myself, but the ride was excellent. We all met back up by Mexico and headed to Norway. We had to finish Madison's passport stamps!

Cont in next post

Pics I took along the way:

I LOVE this fountain!!! This was our first trip that it was up and working. I hadn't seen it since I was 15 years old!

Before we got to Norway, we had to stop and see Donald.

Photo0154.jpg

While we were in Norway, we decided to ride Maelstrom. We entered the line (which said 5 min), but the line was SO full! It looked like it was going to take forever. We got out of line and used our special FP's to ride immediately. :goodvibes We literally walked right onto a boat. We then continued our tour of WS, but we had to stop in Germany for Tony's beer.

LOVE this photo!

When we stopped in Japan, the CM gave Madison an origami star because it was her birthday. We decided to hold off on getting the Canada stamp until our departure day because it was getting close to 8pm. We wanted to scope out good seats for IllumiNations. We ended up getting a spot inbetween France and the UK. You know the bridge you pass over? If you're walking to the UK from France, there are stairs to the right immediately after the bridge. We sat down there and I really recommend it. :thumbsup2 After we got our seats, Maddie & I ran to the bathrooms in the UK. When we got back, Tony went to get us a snack over in France. I took some pics while we waited.

Tony got a little lost on his way back to us and I had to talk him through it. He brought me back a strawberry tart (amazing!) and he shared a chocolate/vanilla swirl waffle cone with Madison. It was a great way to pass the time leading up to IllumiNations. Once it started up, Madison and I stood on the little ledge we had been sitting on. It was amazing as usual. Once it was over, we made our way back to FW but took the long way around. Walking around WS at night like that was so beautiful and it was nice and quiet too.

286.jpg

Sorry so blurry. It's hard to use the nighttime setting on my camera.

Before we left the park, we had to stop and pick up our free Visa picture. While we were waiting, we looked around the Camera Center and a CM asked us to come over to another counter. Tony & I got an anniversary phone call from Mickey & Minnie! It was so sweet. After we picked up our picture, we headed to the bus stop around 9:55pm. Of course the line was long and ominous as usual. Madison made a little friend in line and we ended up sitting next to her family on the bus. They chatted the whole way back to Pop...so cute! We were back in our room around 10:50pm. Tony had to finish some stuff up on the computer while we got ready for bed. We all quickly fell asleep and that's a good thing. We had an early morning breakfast the next day!!!

Just wanted to give a shout out to my awesome friend Kristen.....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!

I'm SO glad that we got the chance to meet up in Sept. Thanks for being a great friend and I hope you have a great day.

YOU ARE THE SWEETEST GIRL ever!!!!!! I'm SO sorry I missed this last week! I'm just getting the time now to catch up on your report and see this!!!!!!!! Thank you, Meghan!!!!!!!!:goodvibes

I feel so lucky to have met you through DIS and in person in September and to be able to call you my friend today!!!!!

Great updates, Meg! I need to get moving on my TR, still haven't finished day one!!!!!!!:scared1: I'm so in Disney depression and I'm SURE it would make me feel better..just need to find the time!! Miss our chats!!:goodvibes

What a great day at Epcot, you did so much! I love all your pictures. Your tank top is also really cute! We also had some talkers during Soarin.Actually they were more like yelling back and forth to each other. Sadly I was stuffed up really bad so I didn't get to smell the oranges or anything :sad2:

What a great update Meghan! I love Fast Passes and all the ride lines you get to skip. Lol!! Garden Grill looks so neat. We might have to give that a try next time. How fun to get an anniversary call too. :) What a wonderful Epcot day you had!

ooo, I loved the dessert at GG! I was mad at myself for eating so much dinner that I hardly had room for it! I also think that's where DS learned to love oreos. Was there oreos in Maddie's kids dessert?

I also love Illuminations, but I don't like long bus-rides back to the room! Ugh!

Don't feel bad about missing my post. I know how busy you are!!! I hope you had a great birthday.

I am SO happy we got to meet up in September. I'm now longer working at ON, so feel free to give me a call whenever you want! :goodvibes

Thanks! I yell at myself now to stay on top of my TR. I decided to go ahead and post this entire day at once because it was a "shorter" day for us. I'm in Disney depression as well, but I don't have time to dwell on it!!!

It was a perfect day...but all Epcot days are. I love that tank and I have it in teal as well (from American Eagle). It's so comfy and I can't wait to wear it again. The people we had on Soarin' were yelling too. Very obnoxious. Too bad you didn't get to smell all the wonderful smells. That's what makes it so awesome.

Thank you! FP is the best thing ever invented. I was pleasantly surprised that we were able to get Soarin' FP's later in the day. According to the UG, this was a good day to visit Epcot. There was no EMH. The anniversary call was so awesome.

That dessert at GG was outstanding. I pretty much forced it down because I too was quite stuffed. Everything there was so yummy. Yes, Madison's dessert had Mickey oreo ears and I believe it was oreo mousse or something like that.

IllumiNations is always great. We took the long way around WS to #1-enjoy the sights and #2-We hoped the line for the buses wouldn't be as bad. WRONG! The wait was quite long, but the bus ride back wasn't.

Oh, you did? How did I miss that? The same goes for you!! Call me anytime!! Would love to catch up with you one of these days!!! :goodvibes

I was thinking about GAD today, it wasn't an option for people living in the UK...the special fastpass sounds like it really helped out in your day!

that photo with Tony and Madison in front of the Fountain is very cool :cool1: and I like the one with you and Donald too, looks really fun and natural!:thumbsup2

my mum is on the dining plan in May and I think her and my nana and aunt would really like that meal from the CS in Mexico! always get a good tip on the dis!

GREAT UPDATES!!!! Glad to hear your meal was good at GG, ours a few years ago was not :( The service was not good but the Characters were great which made up for it!

I forget when you were there but my college roomie and her hubby were there in Sept for their Disneymoon and were riding TT with my brother (who worked at TT at the time) and wanted to get a pic with him in his costume and them in Disneymoon gear but their photo was down too and the photos were down till the last day of their trip which was like the 1st week of Oct.

Can't wait to hear about your breakfast!

I don't remember if I posted that or not. I didn't put it on FB, but I took ON off as one of my employers. I'd love to chat as well!

The GAD FP was outstanding. I wish we could have one all the time. Being able to ride instantly with a FP was awesome.

I love the fountain pic. I have to find a frame for it. I like that one with Donald too. I'm so happy the PP photographer captured it.

The CS place in Mexico is really great. The food was so fresh and delicious.

Thanks! That's too bad you had bad service at GG. Our server was fine, but the meal did take forever. I think we were waiting on Chip for awhile.

I'm so bummed about the TT photos being down. Those are always great pics!
