Take Small Children By The Hand....a Sept Trip Report (Baby pics-Page 40)

I left off with us heading over to WS. Before we did, we stopped and signed up for Kim Possible mission (Madison's loves these). Anyways...first up was Mexico.

Beautiful new Mexico restaurant

We went inside the Mexico pavillion and Madison got her passport stamp. We also rode the Gran Fiesta Tour (I'm still tempted to call it El Rio del Tiempo). Norway was up next and that is where we had to pick up our Kimmunicator. Right after we picked it up, the skies just opened up. We quickly ran into the Norway bakery to take out our ponchos. Our KP mission was in Norway (it wasn't that fun) so we finished it up while it was raining. Once the rain let up, we put away our ponchos and I took some pics.

We then cruised past China and stopped in Germany (our favorite!). We had to get a pretzel and Tony got a beer. He was bummed that they didn't have Beck's (which is what he has gotten on past trips), but he still enjoyed it.

Once you finish a KP mission, you can choose another one to do. We chose France, so we made our way over there. Here are some pics we took along the way!

I had no idea that they had a PP photographer in Italy! He was outstanding and took SO many pics! Here are some of my favs:

Tony and Madison had never really explored Morocco before. You really do feel like you're actually there!

Finally in France!

The France KP mission was SO frustrating! We couldn't find one of the clues and I was getting angry. It was not my finest moment by any means. It was starting to sprinkle, I was frustrated...not a pretty sight! We finally asked a CM for the location of the clue and the rest of the mission went smoothly. Now, Tony took french in HS and he would point out signs and pronounce them correctly. Madison decided to badly pronounce them and Tony would groan. She thought this was hysterical!

Once we finished our mission, guess who we finally saw??

MARIE!!!

Madison has loved Marie since she was little and she hadn't even seen The Aristocats. My mom bought her a Marie stuffed animal a long time ago and it is very well loved.

Once again, after our KP mission it asked if we wanted to continue so we chose the UK. This was the last mission that we needed to do. We have officially completed all of the missions!!! So, off we headed towards the UK.

This mission was SO much better than France. I highly recommend it. Once we were done with our UK mission, we still had some time to kill before dinner. We started walking back towards Italy and stopped in Japan. Madison loves Hello Kitty and she wanted to check out the shop in Japan. While there, I remembered that I had wanted to pick a pearl....so that's what I did! I went to the register, paid and got a number. I think there were 4 or 5 people ahead of me. While I waited, Tony & Madison continued to look around the store. By the time it was my turn, they had made their way back to me. Silly me didn't take any pictures and I don't even remember what size pearl I got! However, it is now safely inside my carriage cage. (I haven't worn it yet!)

After our pearl picking extravaganza, we continued walking to Italy. Tonight, we were eating at Via Napoli! I think our ADR was for 5:45pm but we went over at 5pm to see if we could check in early. They sat us right away!

We were seated right by the pizza ovens! So cool!

We ordered the margherita pizza and it was SOOOO good (tomato sauce, fresh mozzarella and basil). I also ordered a strawberry acqua fresca. Don't worry, it's non-alcoholic.

Mmmmm....sooo good

Our server, Matteo, was excellent. We loved his accent! After we were done eating, they brought us desserts and sang to us!!! It was awesome.

Once we left Via Napoli, we walked back to FW to check on FP's for TT, but they were gone. So, we went and rode Figment (it was a walk on) and then headed to The Land. FP's were gone for Soarin', but we still had 2 sets! (I guess we had used one set earlier in the day). We were hoping to meet up with Kristen and her crew again this evening too. We decided to have a seat to relax for a bit and Madison went through her Guide to the Magic book. I got all caught up in my trip journal as well. All of a sudden I turned around and there was Kristen! We chatted for awhile while her DH got them dinner. When he came back with their food, we decided to go use one of our FP's for Soarin' (this was around 7:30pm).

After we were done with Soarin', I saw Kristen in the bathroom! They were done eating and she said they were going to ride Soarin' with their FP's!!! So, we decided to join them. We got in line with Kristen, her friend Tracy and they each had their 2 oldest kids with them. So that made 9 of us! Madison and Hailey (Tracy's oldest) were once again acting like long lost BFF's and they chatted the whole time in line. It was so cute! We took up almost a whole row on Soarin'.

When we got off the ride, we waited with them for their DH's to come back with their youngest ones. While we were chatting, a man came over to us and asked if we wanted 3 FP's for Soarin'!!! OF COURSE!!! So, if you were keeping track, we rode Soarin' 5 times that day. This was me Once the guys came back, we said goodbye and made plans to meet up again on Sunday at MK. They were going to watch IllumiNations and we rode Soarin' with our last set of gifted FP's.

While in line for our last ride on Soarin', we decided we would head back to Pop afterwards. We had planned to stay for EMH, but we were so tired. Once we were done with our last Soarin' ride, we shared some strawberry shortcake from Sunshine Seasons (my fav) and then went on SE one last time.

Worst PP pic EVER!!! Could we be any farther away? I literally laughed out loud when I first saw this pic. Ridiculous.

We made our way to our bus stop (which is crazy far from the exit) and a bus pulled up at 10:17pm. We were back in our room around 10:45pm and I was ready for bed. Tony and Madison decided to take a very quick swim, but I wasn't up for it. Once they came back, we all fell asleep very quickly. We had another great Epcot day coming up!

Awesome update! I just love World Showcase! Some of your WS pictures look very similar to mine! How great that you got to ride Soarin 5 times!!! That would be a dream!

Via Napoli sounds really yummy. That pizza looks HUGE! We haven't done any KP Missions and I am sort of on the fence about them. What would you say is the best you have done? Are they fun enough to keep kids from getting bored?

And yes! Aren't the bus stops super far from the exit at Epcot? It feels like you're walking 5 miles!

Thanks Shelly! I love taking photos around WS and I try to take different ones on each trip. I want all of my scrapbooks to look different! Riding Soarin' 5 times in one day was incredible!!! We only had to ride standby once...that was what made it even more awesome.

Thanks! I'm feeling really good. My energy is starting to come back which is perfect. We've been working on getting everything out of our office these past 2 weekends. It's been a lot of work!

Via Napoli was awesome. I read they just opened a pizza window too! The pizza was huge (I think it was around $28 and that was a large. They make small and individual sizes too).

KP missions can be a lot of fun. The kids feel like they can take charge which almost never happens on vacation!! We've done all seven and here's what I have to say about them:

Mexico-Everything is all in that one building, so you don't have to run from shop to shop which is nice. The ending is pretty cool too.

Norway-Not worth it. Not enough interactive stuff like they have in other countries.

China-This one took awhile to complete as well. It might be a bit frustrating to some.

Germany-Loved this one! Lots of cool interactive stuff.

Japan-This one was fun too. Again, lots of interactive things.

France-Hated it

UK-We enjoyed this one too.

When you sign up, you can request certain countries to do your mission. Then, when you've completed it, a list of other missions comes up and you can choose which one you want. Madison has never been bored doing the missions (I have at times) so I recommend them.

The Pop bus stop at Epcot is the WORST! You feel like you have to walk forever.

I can't believe how many times you went on Soarin!!! Wow! I feel lucky if I get on it twice in one day.

I agree about the Pop Century bus. That's a long walk at the end of a long day. I feel like they stick the value people in the boonies!

WOW!!! You guys did awesome staying ALL DAY @ Epcot! What a looooonnnggg day!!! I guess the walk to CMC kind of broke it up a little tho, huh? Soarin' 5 times!!! AWESOME!!!!! That is my absolute FAVE ride @ EPCOT!!! Glad you liked Via Napoli! I am considering that one for our trip but since we are OOP for food it might not make the cut! The KP missions sound like lots of fun! The girls are sooo excited to try those out too! Glad to know that you are feeling better and that little boy is being nice to you!

They do stick the value resorts WAY out there, but only at Epcot and MK. The Pop bus stop at DHS is great and AK isn't bad either.

We are troopers when it comes to Epcot. The walk to the BC and eating at Cape May was a nice break.

Soarin' 5 times was the greatest. I don't know why people don't use FP. We are pros!!

Via Napoli just opened a pizza window, so maybe you could just buy a slice or 2 and share between everyone?? That would be a cost effective way to try their awesome pizza.

Your girls will love the KP missions. They are a lot of fun.

I feel great (but I'm being kind of lazy today)! I've started to feel a little bit of movement lately too. Love it!

It was SOOOOO good!!! I wish I could have a slice right now. You should definately try it out. I forgot to mention...we didn't use our dining plan for that meal (although you can). We used one of our gift cards.

We've seen so many other DISers meet Marie and she was on Maddie's list.

Our Matteo looked very young and he had maybe light brown hair. He introduced himself twice...so adorable. He was very sweet and was an excellent waiter.

When we used to go to Alfredo's when I was little (loved it there), all of the waiters used to flirt with my older sister. Her face would turn bright red and I would just laugh and laugh!!!

I can't believe it either! I kept texting Kristen throughout the day telling her how many FP's I had in my wallet! Once our window would open up, we would snag another set. We're FP junkies!!

We saw quite a few PP people around WS, but this was the first trip we saw them. It was really neat to get new pics of us from all over WS.

Thanks! We (or maybe I should say I) love getting PP pics. It's the only time we can get family pics, unless we ask a stranger.

Maddie's hair is quite long. If you notice, her hair started out in 2 braids that morning. I had done her hair like that the day before too, and I then noticed that her part was getting a little sunburned. So, during one of our bathroom stops, I just french braided it. That's how she wore her hair the rest of the trip! She really needs a haircut and I think I'm going to take her on Monday (no school!).

KP missions are a lot of fun, as long as you can find the clues!!

The pizza was SO delicious. I highly recommend Via Napoli.

I'm so happy we got to meet back up with Kristen and her family again. We had so much fun together.

That pizza looked massive and very good!

Think I want to try Kim Possible missions now, will take a note of the ones you thought were best...I was researching Las Vegas and saw that one of the hotel's offers a CSI experience where you take on the role of detective, work in the lab, solve clues etc and it made me think of Kim possible and Disney getting there first with the interactive clue solving experience!

I wonder what the most number of rides on Soarin' a day is? Five is amazing! my grand total of rides on Soarin' in my whole life out of 6 disney trips is...1! I need to work on that!

I LOVE your Italy PP pictures!! Those are my favorite from our last trip, too. The photographer was so interactive and took a ton of pictures. Those Via Napoli pizza ovens are crazy-- too cool! The pizza looks really yummy, too.
The last PP picture of you guys in front of SE makes up for the one before it-- you guys look great!!
