Take out Brown derby???

Does anyone know if you can order an item off the appetizer menu, to go? My DS loves coconut shrimp and they have it there as an appetizer. We don't really want to eat a full meal there but I would love to "surprise" him with some while we are there ..... Just wondering if anyone has ever done this or knows if it can be done....

Officially, none of the Disney TS restaurants do take-out. If the restaurant isn't that busy and if you get the right CM, they sometimes make exceptions. However, these exceptions are almost all at the resort TS restaurants. It is extremely unlikely to get takeout from a Theme Park TS. That said, if you are walking by, it never hurts to ask.

Last Sept my D-I-L and I wanted a piece of grapefruit cake from there to eat while we were waiting for Fantasmic. We were refused.

May '05 I was in line trying to check in for my ADR at Mama Melrose. A couple of people ahead of me were a couple who were VERY upset that Mama Melrose was not accepting walk ups that night. After much argument and a manager being called they finally said they would just order take out then. The manager rather snottily informed them that the restaraunt did not accept take out orders either. Of course, I'm sure alot of his attititude came from the hard time they were giving him and his hostess.

Saying all of that I have read where some person was allowed to order a take out dessert from the Brown Derby. You can ask, all they can do is say no.
