Danauk Thanks for the yummy breakfast......about your QOTD, I visited Vegas about 11 years ago and although I did like the Pirate show and light shows, it just wasn't my kind of vacation....too many pushy people and everything seemed so fake....I was very uncomfortable the whole time....I do like playing Black Jack and won about $500 but there were just too many strange people there at the time and I just had a bad feeling about the whole thing.....I have friends who love it and say it has changed a lot since then....maybe I'll give it another try. I'm happy you had such a good experience and loved your pics!

BTW, I didn't care for "Love Actually" much last night but DH loved it and wants to buy it. Hugh Grant, however, stunning.....as usual. Something about those sexy eyes!

I did think the part where Colin went to America was pretty funny.

Love:
1. Swimming!!!!! (I love it SO much that I DON'T CARE HOW I LOOK IN A BATHING SUIT.....and kids, that's a lot coming from someone of my....ah....roundness!)
2. Commute to work....way easier, no 'snow-birds'
3. Sitting on the patio in a wet bathing suit reading books
4. Early morning walks before work



Hate:
1. How hot the car gets in a parking lot (about 140% without a windshield screen).
2 That it's too hot to do all the stuff you guys get to do......BUT I get to do it the rest of the year!

Yes, summer here is when the indoor activities increase. You only want to go from your air-conditioned house to the air-conditioned car to get to the air-conditioned office/restaurant/movie theater! At lot of my at home 'projects' are done in the summer, get more craft project done then to.

You are sweet to say that but....NO NO....I've got flabby arms, am short-waisted and a card carrying member of the Big Butt Club! I get spider veins on my face but the dermatologist uses the "zapper machine" and they're gone in a flash.....just wish liposuction worked the same way

BTW, did have a great walk this morning......a mile and a half and then came home and pulled weeds. Then came in a cleaned up the kitchen. Waiting for baby sister to wake up to go out to breakfast (make that brunch or lunch....she's a late sleeper). Think I'll go do my grocery shopping now.....must buy MEAT! And I'll throw it all on the grill today, so it will be ready to go for the week.

Love:
1) No school!
2) The track league I do, much more fun and less competitive than school league, but there is the WHOLE state of Maine meet at the end of the year, so it still has some seriousness
3) Getting to Fenway to see my heros!
4) It is FINALLY semi-warm here!
5) Seeing the members of my family that live too far away to visit during school and stuff
6) Not being a white sheet!!


Hate:
1) Not having school sports...
2) Basketball camps are pretty intense...then to have track practice and tennis on top of it...I get worn out really badly during summer
3) BUGS! Yuck!!
4) Stupid tourists....and yay, it lasts until the end of fall
5) Bathing suits...I'm rather self-conscious of myself. I don't think I'm fat, but I hate wearing bathing suits.

I guess [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR] didn't get the t-storms like I did last night--the power flickered on and off a lot for hours. Jessie the wonder dog was not happy. She had to cuddle a lot and well-its getting to hot for that. Thanks for the heads up on that Indian place, [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR]---but, I don't eat Indian foods in general.

Hi gang! Hope you're all enjoying a nice sunny Sunday. Bit too hot for Joe but I'm loving it!

Joe was great DP and helped me out by volunteering for me yesterday. We were running food drives for kids yesterday at select supermarkets around Manhattan and he took over one location for me since I was spread a bit thin. Worked out great and he did such a good job. I'm so proud he's my DP!!!

I'm a bit bummed today. There was something called The Wedding March, a peace protest across the Brooklyn Bridge to City Hall today that was in support of equal rights in marriage for ALL in the state of New York. We had been planning on going for quite some time but I woke up this morning a little achey. I guess residual effects from my having been a little under the weather this past week. I can't wait to hear how it went but I'm a little sad that we couldn't go.

Oh well (sigh).

Anyway, I just wanted to hop in and say hi to my fellow Tag pals! Be good!

OMG! My Master Card bill came.....I had charged the stuff for my business trip (and got re-imbursed) and noticed my rewards points went over 20,000.......that means a 'free' $250 airline ticket!
October is covered now....airfare, time share, Disney hotel (unless we upgrade)....now just have to save up my 1/2 of the car!

Hey all! Hope everyone is havng a good weekend!

Wanted to share some big news! Brian and I got our orders and we are going to ITALY in Sep-Oct time frame! We are so excited!

I lived in Europe for 3 years, before I moved here to Cali, so I am very excited to go back, but Brian has only been to England for like a week and no place else, so I am really jazzed for him to get to experience all this!

Just wanted to share. I know I haven't been around much, but work has been busy and it is too hard to keep up with all the pages during the week!

Hope all the future high schoolers are enjoying thier summer! And I just had to share what I love and hate about summer:

Love:

1. It's finally warm enough to maybe wear shorts!
2. My birthday (July 31)
3. No rain from April-Oct!

Hate:

1. Are you insane!? It's summer! No snow! No winter coats! I LOVE summer!
