TalkisCheap I'm twice your age and STILL hate cleaning out my room. My mother is coming to stay while we're at WDW so the house has to be ESPECIALLY tidy....argh!

ibouncetoo So happy your plane ticket is taken care of....I know ya'll are gonna have a blast in Oct! :teeth:

So we went shopping, no movie for me today. We did rent "Good Boy" on pay-per-view. Pretty cute movie if you like dogs, and we do like dogs.

We got a new wagon for hauling Ella and all our other stuff to the ballfield. The parking at our ballfield is the pits and sometimes it's a hike and the stroller doesn't haul everything so well. Here's our new wagon -

DH had to go to the ballpark for a while so Daniel and I built it ourselves. We were so proud. Then when we pulled it we realized that we put the wheels on backwards. (Yes, believe it or not it is possible). Knowing that DH would make fun of us<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_1_72.gif' border=0></a> we tried to take them off and they wouldn't come back off! DH ended up having to pry them back off and luckily they gave us two extra thingies to put them back on. And yes he enjoyed the moment.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_28_100.gif' border=0></a>

So I also got Holly boots for riding lessons. She starts them when school ends.

Daniel's foot grew another 1/2 size since the beginning of April so he needed new shoes again. He now wears a 7.5 mens shoe!

i know i know, but it just didn't thrill me... i guess im not as big as a banana fan as i thought i was....

i mean it was alright but it just tasted.. odd :(

llebrekniT I love your cool new wagon....got one like that for Jordan when he was little and I'm still using it to haul stuff around the yard. Wow, Daniel is growing sooo fast.....shoes are expensive too.....especially if he's into the "fashion" sneakers....I keep seeing pairs for over $100...they've got to be kidding!

cadburysmom, we are going to Aviano Air Base. It is about 50 miles north of Venice!

llebrekniT, that wagon is so cute! I remember my mom saying that she could barely afford to keep us in shoes, my brother especially, since he would have them torn apart in a matter of weeks from playing sports!

I don't really hate anything about summer. It's sooo way better than winter.

I have one or two tiny spider veins that are my badges from pregnancies. Although my legs are bigger than I want them to be, I can't stand the heat enough to cover them up. So people will just have to shield their eyes if they don't want to see them.

I hate the humidity. HATE it! But it's better than the ice and freezing rain that we frequently get.

Don't care much for the increase in bugs. But, it's nothing a little bit of this won't handle.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_2_25.gif' border=0></a>

The only thing I really hate about summer is that it doesn't last forever.

I think I need to move to Florida.

Daniel had the "real" Radio Flyer wagon, the metal one. It's now our lawn wagon and is all rusty. DH said "why can't you just put her in it?" My baby girl? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_3_60.gif' border=0></a> I don't think so. So now he is using it to haul his baseball gear in and out of the park.

I try not to give Daniel too hard of time over the price, I do use it as a weapon if I don't like the ones he picks though. Since I buy the girls so many, many cute outfits and he doesn't require much clothing wise, I kind of let him get his shoes. He wants ONLY Nike! You'd think he had a contract with them or something.

Gotta run! Time to load up the wagon and hit the trail!

See ya!:wave2:

Guess what I got in the mail yesterday ???? My Dive Quest coupon from DHB .... Thanks so much again !

I kept sneaking peeks at them and smiling to myself....thinking of you kids. I hope they didn't think I was some  lady!
What are you gals doing this summer to keep busy and stay out of trouble? If I can remember back that far at about age 14 I was meeting my friends downtown (small town Indiana circa 1964), having slumber and beach parties, baby sitting for $$, and I think that was the summer of the neighborhood marathon badminton tournament. I had a major crush on one of the boys who lived down the street and I remember he was wicked with a racket. I can still hear him yell, "Dive for it, Jackie!"

Ah, a nice stroll down memory lane ::yes::

o i remember my 8th grade graduation....we shan't go there.

my summer plans are reading. i have to read one book that is assigned and then im going to read 3 others for extra credit... i also might be going to florida to visit my grandparents, but im not sure yet... i also have plans of working out once a week because im definately not getting my moneys worth from planet fitness! :p

I'll also do lots of babysitting im sure , because i cant get a different job because im not turning 15 till the end of the summer and most places dont hire yung'uns... but im not complaining because i make a hefty profit watching younger kids!:D

Wanted to share some big news! Brian and I got our orders and we are going to ITALY in Sep-Oct time frame! We are so excited! :)

ooooo we love Aviano! You must go to Campodimonte for their beautiful porcelan roses etc and to Nove for their pitchers shaped like fruit. I spent big bucks there. We loved no. Italy. Venice is only an our or so drive-all back rds if I remember right. Don't go in the summer though-expensive and stinky!! And Pisa is pretty close too. Not sure if you can go into the leaning tower anymore b/c it is really leaning and they were afraid it would fall. Maybe they have it stablized by now. I'm so envious. Can't wait till we are out of No. VA!!

Love about summer? Kids being home, pools and BBQs

Hate? Humidity, skeeters and moving!! ugh!

Kismetdreams I love Venice, you are so lucky! I was in Venice on my 18th birthday, you must go there to visit. Plus Verona is lovely (the open air opera house is worth a visit) plus Lake Garda is beautiful in the summer. And as for the food, amazing - did I mention that I love Italy??
As you are over here for a while perhaps you couls squeeze in a visit to DLP as well. The rail links across Europe are really good so it should be quite easy.

Oh well, it is late here already so I must get to bed. Tomorrow I am on a course with another teacher (Kate who I get along well with) at a posh hotel. I said I would go as the food there is amazing!! Plus it is a day away from the kids who I love dearly but it makes a nice change.

I hope you all have a great evening. Breakfast tomorrow will be served in the English tea garden again.

Oh! Italy! That is so exciting! I'm still trying to convine my parents to take me...they're pretty stuck on"No!"

Depply(sorry...no color), I must come and hurt you now because you spoke bad words about Tombstone. That is THE best movie. If you ever meet me though, you won't have to see it, because I can recite every line word for word :p ;) :D . I've seen it like 100 times more than POTC, my second favorite movie. But, my family brainwashed me. I get brainwashed really easily...I'm around weirdos too long who have begun to rub off on me...and then there is my dad and running...WOAH we won't go there ;) !!

My tummy is rumbling. Maybe I'll go sneak a piece of PIE to tide me over?!!! :teeth:

Danauk, I lived in The Netherlands for 3 years, so I have been to DLP once before, but we are looking forward to another visit, because so much has changed in the 3 and a half years since I was last there.

We will be in Italy for 3 years, so there will be lots of visits and trips. I'm really looking forward to taking Brian to all the cities in Europe I loved! Berlin, Amsterdam, Maastricht (where I worked in the NL), Brussels, Paris, London, Prague, Naples. I'm trying really hard to convince him he wants to see Sarajevo! I LOVED Sarajevo and it is such a beautiful city! We'll see! I've been all over Europe and can't wait to take him!

Kismetdreams I loved Venice but I did go during the summer and the odor was the first thing I noticed....but I got over it quickly and remember how beautiful and magical the city is. I also loved Florence but that's quite a ways away. Rome was beautiful too, but I kept getting pinched.....I was standing in St. Peters and some jerk had the nerve to pinch me right there in the cathedral:eek:, and smile at me afterward:mad: You got to watch out for Italian men, women are definitely 2nd class citizens to them. But Italy is soooo worth seeing.....I loved the movie Under The Tuscan Sun, made me want to go back soooo badly. ;)
