The first time Chris went to camp, I checked the mailbox every day and everyday I did NOT hear from my son. By the time we went to pick him up, I was steaming! Well, there he sat, on the gatepost by the entrance with a stamped envelope in his hand... grinning. He forgot to mail it...

RickinNYC is now SusieinNYC because of a comment he made, not because of any medical treatments or anything ... "well slap my face and call me Susie" or something like that. I don't 'xactly remember. He is going for a BIG job interview today that he really wants, and he actually thinks that he needs luck, when really, he could run the food bank in NYC with his eyes closed, or his hands tied behind his back, or ... whatever.

Hey all! I'm a bit behind since I haven't been on since Friday. Not much new. Sent DH off to the airport yesterday, and he's now deep in the heart of Texas (clap clap clap). Party time!

We are starting to work out some dates for the meet. There is discussion about whether the breakfast should be on Sunday or Tuesday.

There is also discussion on where we should eat dinner before the PI meet. The following have been mentioned: Bongo's, Wolfgang Pucks, House of Blues and Captain Jacks. Personally, I'm leaning towards Bongo's or Captain Jacks.

Meeting Fellow Axe Murderers Part 2

So we introduced ourselves to [COLOR=009966]NC Belle[/COLOR] and [COLOR=FF3300]NC Beast[/COLOR] who as it turns out happen to be delightful and warm-hearted people and not an axe in sight!! We chatted briefly and excitedly and decided to go up to O'Hanas and see if ohanafamily and RRBB had arrived. Jordan, by the way, had been very excited about meeting our fellow axe murderers and was even more so at this point.

We meandered thru the resort til we found O'Hanas but RRBB and ohanafamily were nowhere to be seen. I was afraid that after such a busy week, and the fact that they were leaving the next day, that they had changed their minds about meeting us for dinner. We decided to wait for them a little longer but the waiter said he had a table with an excellent view and if we weren't seated then, we'd lose it and have to sit in the back of the room. Jordan immediately turned to me and said, you three go ahead and sit down and I'll wait by the restaurant entrance for ohanafamily and RRBB and show them where our table is. Jordan had seen pictures of them and was very excited about such a big duty, so I decided to sit down and let him wait for them. So the three of us were seated and I must admit I was a little nervous about leaving my little boy up front to meet two axe murderers I've never met but I knew Jordan seen pictures of them and he had his eye out for two cute dragons.

Jordan stood at the entrance to O'Hanas and within a few minutes, a very cute couple ascended the stairs and Jordan thought, could it be THEM? He got really nervous and wasn't sure if he should even approach them when all of a sudden, the female of the couple turned to take a drink of water out of the fountain. And when she did, you'll never guess what Jordan saw peaking out from her backpack..........TWO DRAGONS!

ok I'm not a hypercondriac. Had another run to the ER. This time it showed an abnormal EKG. Have an appt with the cardiologist in the morning. Why meeeee????? ugh. Was up all night and I mean all night. haven't slept since yesterday am. so tired but still feel like crap. so will try to catch a little bit of sleep before the baby gets home

Welcome home [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR]. It sounds like your trip was amazing.

The weather here in England right now is really The forcast was for 75 degrees but the themometer in my garden says 95!!!! I was only out for just over an hour, finishing off the waterfall, moving the lawn etc and had to come in. We really are not used to this in England!! Right now I could just do with an ice cream from Beaches and Cream It's a shame I started my diet again today (which I intend to stick to ) I guess I'll have to have a cool glass of water instead. It doesn't have the same appeal though some how!

Oh well. OK [COLOR=FF0033]cadburysmom[/COLOR], lets hear some more. When are the pictures coming?

MEETING AXE MURDERERS PART 3

So Jordan approached ohanafamily and RRBB who apparently were VERY nice to him and led them to our table. I recognized them immediately and jumped up and gave RRBB a big hug. We all sat down, ordered dinner and started chatting. Just to be safe, I had brought enough Wonka Bars for each dragon and each taglican as a peace offering so noone would feel the need to swing their axes my way. This was obviously quite unnecessary as we were enjoying being together so much.

After awhile, RRBB took out a picture and handed to me. She said something about a "Surprise" and when I looked at the picture, I immediatly saw it was an ultrasound picture of two babies, but with RRBB being the clever person she is, I assumed there were dragons hidden in there somewhere and commenced to search the picture. That's when my son said "Mom, you silly thing, there's NO dragons in the picture, RRBB is having twins!" Well, we were all SOOOO excited and thrilled for them and even more honored that we were some of the first to know the BIG news!!! They had told HuggaBaloo earlier that day, so we weren't the first, but we were sure close!

I then pulled out my copy of the baby photo contest and RRBB gave us all the answers. It was quite humiliating for me cause all I got right were mine, the dragons and [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR]. Oh yeah, congrats [COLOR=FF66CC]llebrekniT[/COLOR] for winning!

We chatted and ate the appetizers which were wonderful, never seen Jordan eat so many chicken wings before. Then it was time for the big coconut race!. Jordan didn't want to do it at first but after much coaxing, he finally got up, grabbed a broom and coconut and preceded to kick some coconut butt! He didn't come in first but he was close and he got a few gummy worms for his efforts. Our table happened to be where the coconut racers had to turn so there were many wipeouts into poor [COLOR=FF3300]NC Beast[/COLOR]'s chair, but he's a good sport and we had a great time.

It was also close to [COLOR=FF3300]NC Beast[/COLOR]'s birthday so naturally, the waiters came over and sang to him and presented him with a cute little cake. It was great fun and I think I have a picture.

We chatted and ate and chatted and ate and chatted and ate some more and all the food was wonderful but I must say the company was excellent. We watched the fireworks and although it wasn't the same as being right there at the castle, it was magical because we were with our special Disney friends

Well, we chatted and ate and chatted and ate some more and I must admit I made quite a pig of myself eating the wonderful food and snarfing down the delicious pineapple and caramel dessert. I even had to have the waiter bring us more of that yummy pineapple....sure wish I was there now!

Well, as all good things must come to an end, so did our dinner. We basically closed the restaurant down and almost had to be kicked out. It was past midnight then and Disney transportation had stopped for the night, so we all said our tearful goodbyes and Jordan and I decided to share a cab back to CSR with NC Belle and NC
Beast.

The cab dropped us off at the reception area of CSR but as the resort is so big and spread out, we started our long walk towards our rooms. But lo and behold, a really nice CM in a golf cart offered us a lift so we jumped in and started off on what became a pretty wild ride around the resort. The crazy CM drove like a lunatic and we hung on for our lives as he darted around buildings and crossed paths. He even drove us through a sprinkler where we all got whacked in the face with spouting water! It really was great fun and quite an adventurous end to what was a truly delightful night. Jordan and I got to our room about 1am and literally passed out on our beds.

Those axe murderers can really wear a person out!

YES! YES! THE NO WAY JOSE!

......and thank you soooo much for suggesting it....it was so yummy and good......I will never doubt you again, not that I ever did!

......and the best part was we used a voucher for our meal so we got $27 worth of food using just one!

Pleeeeeeeze stop these trips to the ER young lady!!! Seriously CM, try to get some rest and relaxation. Hopefully the doctor will finally get to the bottom of this tomorrow. It must be scaring the heck out of you.

I've got to tell you a secret first.....Jordan sat beside RRBB at O'Hanas and was quite smitten by her. He really wants us to come to the October meet and even suggested that he should come too just to be withRRBB because she'll be pregnant and won't be able to run around with the Orange Divas too much and he doesn't want her to feel lonely or left out........here he is with his new sweetheart and the wonderful Dragons!

Believe me, I know how you feel. This is Jordan's 4th year at camp and I've only gotten one piece of mail from him and that was his first year. Last year while he was at camp, I attended a party with other parents who had children at the same camp. ALL of them had heard from their children except me Jordan had sent letters to both of his grandmothers and to his uncle instead. They really appreciated it so it turned out ok in the end. I usually stamp and address the envelopes before he leaves for camp so he can pick and chose who he will write. He says he's too busy to write to everyone so I figure as long as he's having fun at camp, that's all that really matters.

Sure would be nice to get a letter though
