Danauk, thanks for Breakfast. I had some waffles but with syrup only, no butter. I'm off cholesterol for a while, trying to lower my extremely high number. Yikes.

TALKISCHEAP, I've got a question. Who is the dark haired guy in the picture at the bottom of your post. I know Val Kilmer, but who is the other guy. He's Fred Savage looking, I think. Who is he??

For any Soprano watchers...last nights episode. OMIGOD.

QOTD: if it is what countries outside of the US (or off the continental US anyway) is the Caribbean. Never been to Canada. Never been to Europe. I'd like to someday, but haven't yet. Beside, there are plenty of places in the U.S. I still haven't seen that I would like to...here are at least 10 for example:
1. Grand Canyon
2. Niagara Falls
3. Rocky Mountains (I've seen them from the train only as I travelled cross country on Amtrak)
4. Texas (just wanna go to Texas for some reason, very, very intrigued)
5. New Orleans
6. Las Vegas (just for the sheer fun of it!)
7. Disneyland (I've only been to the gates ONCE, but we drove up to the gates, went, Oh! Wow! Disneyland! and then realized it was 4:00 and the park closed at 7:00 or 8:00 so we didn't want to pay the price for a few hours and decided we would take the drive back tomorrow...and, yeah, you guessed it...never did. This was back in the mid 80's, long before California Adventure)
8. Hawaii
9. Yellowstone
10. and last but not least, this is an event I'd like to attend, not a place, but, I would absolutely love to attend a World Series Game, and catch a ball while there!

So, as you see, I've got some US things to do, but I wouldn't mind seeing the rest of the world in the meantime! LOL.

Barb is JetBlue the one John Travolta pilots? Did you see the list I made about you? Your DH is a real sweety! Have you guys reserved a room yet?

s&k'smom - do you have a new job for after the layoff? Do you plan to? Would you like some bread and cheese to go with your wine? Go ahead, let it out, that's what we're hear for.::yes::

ibouncetoo Bart is brown and white or white and brown, I actually can't remember now. When we visited the farm where she will take the lessons Bart wouldn't come up to the fence when the instructor yelled for him. He had just gotten done with a class and was on break. I do believe he had a white mane though.

Gotta run to WalMart. I should be posting some more pictures later. I know you guys are excited!

Your list is almost exactly the same as mine! If we could just head up the east coast to Maine during our travels we could do the list together! I'll even let you bring Rick along OK? And the world series game needs to be played at Fenway Park with Boston winning the championship, but I'll be fighting you for the ball.

Good morning everyone!!!

I just read through all the posts! Chatty bunch we are. So, DH's sister graduated from high school yesterday. She will be attending the University of Kentucky this fall.

Hmm, I think I have some QOTD to catch up on. Las Vegas? Yep, I've been there. Went to see The Grateful Dead at the Silver Bowl. Sting opened up for them. It was 100 degrees by 9am. But NO humidity! We didn't go to the strip though. We camped at Lake Meade & only went to one Casino that was on the way to the Silver Bowl. I won 80 quarters!

European countries: I've been to England.
Islands: Grand Cayman (my favorite), Jamaica, Maui & Oahu.

oddball27, congratulations on making Varsity!!! So, are you going to be a Freshman in the fall???

TalkisCheap, sounds like you have a great summer lined up. I am most jealous that you get to go to Fenway Park. I've been to Boston once. After I graduated from college, I took my Dad to Boston for Father's Day weekend. He's been a Red Sox fan since 1940 & he had never been to Fenway Park. We went to 2 games!!!! It was great. Where does your brother go to college? What colleges are your sister looking at??

CourtasanSatine, what about "The Day After Tomorrow"? I love Jake Gyllenhal (sp?). One of my all time favorite movies is "October Sky". If any of you haven't seen it, rent it NOW. So, where is this road trip you may have planned going to take you? Does DBF have a car? If so, why isn't he visiting you more?? He needs to get his butt over to see you ASAP!!! How long has it been since you have seen each other??

Well, I am off to clean the basement. Anybody wanna help? It's gonna be fun.

Oh, I almost forgot. I bought the new Alanis Morrisette CD last week & I highly recommend it. Of course, if you don't like her voice, you won't like it, but if you do, you'll love it. It is not angry like her earlier CD's.

Have a great day everyone!!

Okay, we'll go, even though I've been to Maine already, it's beautiful enough to see again! We'll go in a convertible (what color?) and I'm going to catch the ball in NY! You can sit next to me and pout as I wave the ball over my head, screaming like a banshee. But if Rick comes with us, you'll have to sit in the back, because he's rather tall, you see, so he needs all this extra leg room! LOL.

And Deadheadbelle...you're right. I didn't want to give anything away either, so I just left it at OMIGOD. Can't wait two weeks now for the season finale. OMG, it was just such an incredible episode. As for Christopher...I can't believe what he did. I can't believe it!

Billysotherdad, why don't you and Rick drive up the Thruway, pick me up, we'll head to Niagara Falls, and then we can go to Casino Niagara while we are there!!! :teeth: Okay, so it's not Vegas, but heck, it's fun! :Pinkbounc

Here the touristy places I've been in the US:

Niagara Falls
Boothbay Harbor, Maine
Skiing in VT
Hershey Park, PA
Virginia Beach
NYC
Colonial Williamsburg
Cape Cod
Atlanta
Florida
Ft Worth
St. Louis
Branson, MO (a/k/a the Twilight Zone  )
Denver and Beaver Creek Colorado
San Jose
San Francisco
Phoenix
Lost Wages Nevada (thought I'd hate it and LOVED it)

Day After Tommorow is on the list and his car keeps landing in the shop(and his job is a factor).Hopefully this will be the weekend

Just for the younger ladies out there, here's a picture of some mighty handsome hunks :smooth: Check out those muscles and cool slicked back hair ;) Just picked up my newest picture cd and this was 50's Day at Jordan's school back in April. llebreknit, no job after the layoff and I would love some cheese with my whine. Oh I'm in such a poor me mood. God I hate the way I sound, I should be in a good mood, with all the working out I'm doing I'm ready for bathing suit season. Notice how easily I can switch my priorities ;)

So sorry you are feeling low.....here's some chocolate to go with the whine and cheese.

Amen sista, Amen!!

Good afternoon all. I'm home from my course. It was OK, not too boring and I got a few things to try and some ideas to think about from it.

Wow, some of you have been to more European countries than I have!! I love billysotherdad's list. I have been to numbers 1 and 6. My DH and my parents have been to number 2, but I haven't!
As we were adding non European countries to the list I haver also visited America (obviously!) - Las Vegas, San Diego, Orlando and Kingman (Arizona) where my friend lives. I have also been to Mexico. We plan to go to Australia in a few years. We were going to go next summer but we are now planning to go to WDW for Christmas 2005 so we will probably go to Australia in 2006/7 instead.

Well I've got 2 :cat: :cat: making pathetic noises around me feet so I guess I better go and feed them. Plus I think I will go check on the bunnies and see how they are grtting on burrowing in their new run.

:wave2:

Well, it hasn't rained since about 10:30, so I'm hoping track will still be on...gotta wait and call a little later when their mom sure on it.

Wow! I feel so special, I got asked something;) :D . (are you ready for some colour, FINALLY?!) -

billysotherdad, That would be my most darling and adorable Yannick Bisson. He's a tv actor(I guess you weren't here the night he was my date for our party...)and he plays an FBI agent...I just watched the season finale(I recorded it because Law & Order season finale was on at the same time) and he was soooooooo gorgeous in it...okay I think I need something to wipe the drool of the key board...

Deadheadbelle, I have actually been to two Red Sox games as well as an Orioles game. My dad MIGHT get tickets from his work and we would sit in a box seat!! I'm so excited! My brother goes to Villanova University outside of Philly, and is a freshman. My cousin is 5 days younger than my brother and actually got a full tuiton scholarship to Villanova, so she attends that college as well. I don't even want to apply to any other school, because I love Villanova, and that's where I want to go, too. My sister is looking at BC, Villanova(even though my brother doesn't want her there), Fairfield, James Madison, Leighigh(sp?), and Wake Forest. My other cousin is the same age as my sister, and so we'll be looking at colleges together this year...can't say I'm looking forward to another summer full of college trips  !!

Lets see, the 'touristy' places I've been -

All over Maine, wheverever is touristy here, I've been at least twice!(as well as living in a town OVER RUN with them...and I want to drive them all out...unless any of you come!!)
Williamsburg
Lexington and Concord
The Grandy Canyon
Yellowstone
The Grand Tetons
Jackson Hole
Jamestown
Plymoth Plantation(as well as seeing the rock)
Georgetown
Mount Vernon
Independence Hall
Glaciar National Park
Freedom Trail
Fenway Park
Camden Yards(okay so the last two, not so much..but you know)

then lets see, states I've been to..

New York, Virginia, West Virgina, Florida, Kentucky, Oklahoma, California, Montana, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Massachusets, Rhode Island, Conneticut, Maryland, Wyoming, Utah, Arizona, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois, and Colorado.

I have never really been down south...one day!!

Well, I really should go call the middle school about practice...have a good afternoon everyone!

Could someone please wake me when all this baseball talk is over? :rolleyes1

Sorry. I know, not very American, huh? I never claimed to know how to make an apple pie either. :p Ugh! Baseball is so boring!! And the players don't even have nice bodies.

Now soccer players--let's talk about them! :hyper:

Okay okay don't flame me. I actually go to see the Syracuse Chiefs (AAA) team play when I get free tickets--well sometimes. :teeth:

There! Did I wake you guys up now?

So what list are you talking about llebrekniT?

Cadburysmom, very cute picture of the boys. :D

BB When Shrek 2 came out last week, someone mentioned that something in the movie reminded them of you but didn't name it because they wanted it to be a surprise. llebrekniT got curious and listed all the things that could possibly remind her of you...good things of course! ;) She probably wrote it last Wed or Thur cause Shrek 2 came out on Wed. I'm too lazy to look back to find the page # for you.

And I saw Shrek 2 this weekend and it most DEFINITELY reminded me of you....you gotta go see it! ::yes:: :teeth:

And thanks about the picture.....I wondered if any cute little girls noticed it too......especially a cute little girl named Holly, hint, hint :hyper:

I'm just about finished with the double cd for DBF,all 80's

I do have a great guy,he's willing to suffer through a graduation to spend time with me(but once the silbing walks the stage we're out the door)

Bichon Barb!!! Wake you when the baseball talk is over. I gotta tell ya...if you've never been to a major league baseball game, it's an awful lot of fun. Though baseball on TV doesn't have the same appeal, live, in the stadium, in the summer sun cannot be beat! Cold beer, bad food, pretzels, hot dogs...the chance to catch a foul ball! Singing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th Inning stretch at the top of your lungs with a thousand other people!! And did I mention a cold beer in the hot summer sun. Nothing is more delicious! Honest!

And maybe you're just not looking at the right bodies on the field if you think baseball players aren't nice looking. Or, are they just too covered up for the likes of you...looking at those soccer players in the disco shorts and knee-high wigwam socks!! LOL

On another note...everyone send get well wishes to RickinNYC right now. He's not feeling well at all today. He's home from work with aches, pains, a fever, a terribly sore throat, a headache. Awful. I tried to give him some suggestions on ways to relieve his symptoms...tea w/ honey for his throat and the like, but he said "NO" "I DON'T WANNA!" So, if he signs on today, give him some of your good wishes and tell him your secrets for summer cold relief. HE'LL HATE THAT!

(can I block him alone from reading this...he's gonna kill me when I get home! LOL :(
