Good morning, TAGLIKINS,

First of all, major hugs, PD, and sympathy to you and the boy's family, Mad4Mickey. Been there done that twice ... first with good friends whose son was driving alone and hit and killed by a drunk driver, then a couple of years later, when Chris was a senior, one of his band friends was changing a radio channel, hit a telephone pole, which came down on his best friend in the front seat. The driver had a broken wrist, the friend's parents' had to make the same decision your friends did. It was heartbreaking. If it's not too personal, can I ask if he was an organ donor? My first cousin is alive today because the parents of one of the girls killed in the Paducah shootings donated her organs and he got her lungs. If you'll PM me their address, I'd really like to send a sympathy card ... and let me know if mentioning the organ donation is a good idea ... if it doesn't apply or isn't appropriate, I won't mention it.

I live in fear that I'll get a phone call like that one day. I remember feeling so powerless when Chris got his drivers license, and I firmly believe we are putting lethal weapons in the hands of children at age 15/16. (Do I belong on the DB???) ;) Kelley is eligible to get her permit at age 15.5, which is on September 1. She'll be driving for at least a year on permit with us before she gets her license, and maybe longer. ::yes::

oops, Toby is whining ... I must do the dog walking thing... BRB!

Ok, just got back from the COLOR WHEEL.

We need more pictures! I love looking at the family photo album and the pets photo album and I have a couple questions:

Where are Nephosaurus and Nieceosaurus pictures?

What happened to the picture of Lewski's dog? He's extremely cute, Lewski, get us a new picture.

Why is Rick's dog listed in the birthday's unknown category and for that matter, why does he have his own color and name? I've never seen that dog in here talking to anybody.

And this one is a little on the pushy side and I'm just not one to be pushy, right? But could we get a kid's of the Tagliarchy photo album?
Funny you should mention a kid's of the Tagliarchy photo album. I've actually got one going but don't have it linked to the color wheel yet. I wasn't really sure how everyone feels about that. It's one thing for y'all to post pics of your kids here but for them to be permanent on the color wheel. (I know that we have some kids pics with our own, but none just of the kids.) I will certainly link the page up if y'all want me to.

As for Nieceosaurus and Nephosaurus, sorry. I didn't realize they were missing from the photo gallery. I will certainly fix that oversight soon.

Okay, now onto Bill (aka Prince of Darkness). The reason he has his own color on the color wheel is because ohanafamily gave it to him. Something about "Prince of Darkness" and the color code being 000666.

I'm not sure what happened to Lewski709's dog. But when she posts a new pic, I'll certainly replace the pic.

I had the second interview yesterday afternoon, I think it went very well. Poor DD has a cold. DH is home tonight so it will be fun to all have dinner together. Gotta go and read the past posts.
Okay, I'm having an early morning brain freeze. What are you interviewing for? I'm glad to hear the interview went well. And sorry to hear DD isn't feeling well. PD that she gets over it soon.

I TOTALLY Agree!!!! And I don't believe kids should be given their own car just because they get their driver's lisence. This is a big debate that ohanafamily and I have had. He thinks it's a "right of passage" and thinks that his kids should get a car for their 16th birthday. I think that it's not necessary for a 16 year old to have that kind of responsibility... Okay, iluvtink you've got me going on a subject I'm very passionate about. I could go on and on - and I don't even have any kids. I'd better get out of here before I stick my foot in my mouth. (Plus I need to take a car in for service this morning.)

Oh, okay, so I don't know what I'm doing here! I thought I'd go and choose a color like I've been told her and it said to paste it into my post, and that's what comes up, that stupid name and number...how's that gonna work. Ask Rick...we've got this mean, awful DVD player in the living room that hates me. When Rick wants to play a DVD, it's like, bingbangboom, and we're watching a DVD. When I want to put on a DVD, I end up close to throwing the hateful thing out the window! Honest. One time, I thought the remote wasn't working and I got so frustrated and threw such a temper tantrum, I slapped the remote against my leg (I was wearing shorts) and walked around for an hour or so with the exact imprint of the remote control pressed into my leg. IT HURT, TOO!

We'll give this a shot, otherwise, Rick, if you're on there, tell me how to pick an color, if not, someone else can help me maybe. Geez.

I'm not really this dumb. Honest.

And, as for the post a few pages back about sharing chocolate to each others, as a devout chocolate lover, this is not the time of year to send chocolate in the mail. Most mail order businesses don't even send chocolate in the spring/summer. It melts. It's really a winter thing. Maybe some other kind of sweets or foods, but if we send chocolate now, it'll just arrive as brown soup in paper wrappers!

Help with the color please.

Joe

WooHoo!!! billysotherdad chose a color.

You did everything correctly. I needed to know what color you wanted so I could add it to the color wheel. That's why you went to the Available Colors page and came back with the name/code for it. Now if you go to the Tagliarchy Color Wheel you'll see your name in color, along with a quick button. Here's how to use it now...

Let's see if I did this right! THANKS FOR THE INFO! GLAD I DID THAT MUCH RIGHT  . Okay, so, if I read that little "ever-changing" message right (it took me several reads...it changed each time before I finished reading it all!!) everytime I want to add my name with the color, I have to go to the color wheel and cut and paste my code?? Is that right? Like this?

billysotherdad

I guess we'll see, right!

Thanks again

Hi RRBB I'm getting laid off June 30th and had a second interview for a new job. But I'm having a bad dad at this job I'm at now and I just don't know if I can handle more responsibility. I really want to simplify things but I have no idea what I want to be when I grow up.

I did it! Miracles never cease! NOW, If only that mean DVD player would be so cooperative.

:bounce: :bounce: :bounce: I knew you could. Sorry, can't help you with the DVD player. I have enough trouble with all the electronics we have around here. I can totally relate to your frustration. I've been known to throw things myself - just ask ohanafamily about the time I through my mouse across the room. (It's cordless.)

Oh yeah, I remember you mentioning that darned lay off thing before. Sorry you're having bad day today.

(Does anyone really know what they want to be when they grow up? I know I don't. ;) )

I'm baack...

Okay, my QOTD: Do y'all like it better when there's one long post with lots of answers directed at lots of different people like I usually do, or do you like to see shorter answers and more posts???? <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/29/29_1_16.gif' alt='Rolling Eyes' border=0></a>

I finally after almost half a century AM what I wanna be when I grow up ... I passed my College of Disney Knowledge tests and am gonna get my golden ears pin in the mail! <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/18/18_2_102.gif' alt='Gymnast' border=0></a>

RRBB - maybe we should start a thread on the DB about young drivers! We were in a Parents of Teens Sunday School class back when Chris was 15 and one week they asked a series of questions from an article about attitudes towards raising teens. One of the questions was, "when your child turns 16, will you buy or give him a car, new or used?" We were the only couple in the whole class who said, "no, he'll have to pay for at least part of it." The title of the article (I think it was in Money magazine) was something like "The New Teen Disease ... Affluenza." hmmmm... kinda scary, but true.

QOTD #1... I have two favorites ... Grumpy and the Fairy Godmother. I love them both, but wanna be the Fairy Godmother when we are old enough to retire and move to Orlando, because she's not out in the hot sun as much as Grumpy is!!!

QOTD #2... I would say that I am a bit of both ... I can stay up easily until midnight before I get really sleepy, but if something wakes me up in the morning, I am usually awake and have a hard time going back into a sound sleep. I'm not particularly grumpy in the morning and am alert pretty quickly. Our usual schedule during the week is asleep by midnight to 12:30 a.m., then the alarm rings at 6:45 a.m. during the school year. Only a few weeks until I get to sleep in!! :)

Ugh, lost my message. No color!!!

MAD4MICKEY, :grouphug: going your way. That is a horrible story--every parent's worst nightmare.

KADATEN, your daughter is a cutie!!! princess:

QOTD#1: Favorite character? Man that's tough. I like Jacque from Lady and the Tramp, Stitch, Tigger, Pluto, Baloo. Oh forget it! ;)

QOTD#2: I am a morning person. Well, after I have a cup of coffee. Don't talk to me before then. Fire bolts come out from my eyes if you look at me BC (before coffee). I'm not kidding. Ask Rob. Anyway, I'm most productive in the morning, it goes downhill from there.

I need 8 hours -- 10:30 to 6:30 or 11:00 to 7:00.

Rob need 23.5 hours -- 9:30 to 7:00. (He'd deny that. He says he's in bed reading. But with the lights out? )

EXCUSE ME...You mean the ORLANDO BLOOM MOVIE !!! ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes::

QOTD: favorite charector? I would have to say Donald Duck but I have to say Mike from Monster's Inc runs a close second.

Morning person, yup as soon as I have my first cup, up most morning by 5am. It's so I can have some time to myself, workout etc. Plus my "happy" pill makes me very tired to I take it at night and it knocks me out.

And well one more admission. Though Brad is soooo handsome I have to admit Orlando is taking over for me. He's a little young for me but well he's just so darn cute.

QOTD: Morning person here! Always wake up alert, happy and hungry! In the summer I'm usually up at 5AM...later in the winter. I do my best work in the morning too. Problem is, I don't want to go to bed at night because I'm afraid I'll miss something! So I've been known to sit around in a stupor when I'm out with my friends, instead of just going home to bed. If the TV is on...I'm out cold sometime during the 9-10p show. I'm happiest with 7 1/2 hrs sleep...but this fear of missing something at night often prevents that. Wish I could take a 90 min siesta each day...that would solve the problem.
