[techie talk]
I know you've given directions on this before, but can't find them.

How do I specify a size for a photo to be in a post? Right now I'm making a copy, editing it down to size, uploading that to my webspace, then using it for the image. I'd LOVE to be able to skip the editing part.... Isn't there a way to make it say how big the picture is?

AND, if there is, what's a good size for a photo in a post??
Thanks!

cute Kids Kadaten!!!! hubba hubba on dh too!!

Ok what show was this taken from...."I've got a fever.... and the only perscription is more cowbell!!"

Sam uses this quite often in her teeny bopper quotes

kadaten, I absolutely love that in the first picture he's clutching his BB (that's what we call all the kids blankies, Daniel started it) and then in the next one he's in full-on, wild man action!

That kid is toooo cute, his sister is a doll-face and when did you say number three would be coming?

QOTD -

, of course!

Unofficial QOTD: I don't think kids should necessarily drive just because they are 16. We will definetly be on a wait-and-see plan. I would prefer to delay it as long as possible. I wish it wasn't even an option at that age.

Other unofficial QOTD: My kids won't be spending any free time scanning the internet here either. What always worries me is what about at their friend's houses. It's impossible to watch them 24-7 whether it's TV, computer or radio, there's so much out there to worry about. I'm hoping that by the time they have an interest there will be some awesome parental-control gadgets out there.

Baseball game tonight, Deadheadbelle is coming if we don't get rained out.

See you guys later!

Yes, that's him! That's his "silkie". He will not sleep without one. We *try* not to let him have it other than while asleep or riding in the car, but he was *really* grumpy that morning, so we pulled it out to calm him. He swings WILDLY from one extreme to the other....sweet and senstive momma's boy to completely out of control wildman!!

Oh, have I ever mentioned he's the only baby I know who has satin sheets  It's actually a satin comforter that I have wrapped and tied in place with sheet holders around his mattress, but you get the idea. He has to feel the satin to sleep, and then rubs the silkie on his face as he's falling asleep. Plus, the "satin sheet" means it's always there and he won't wake up screaming as much when the silkie gets away from him in the night. I sense problems with this one looming on the horizon....

As for #3, NOT ANY TIME SOON!!!!

Well, if you could guarantee that SHE would be as sweet and easy as her sister was when she was a baby, then I'd take HER any time! But since you can't, we'll be waiting awhile before deciding on whether there will be a 3rd ::yes:: I always wanted three and wanted them close together (DD and DS are only 20 months apart) but I know I can't handle another one right now. And DH will be deploying alot when we move to Tampa, so it's likely to get a little harder for the next few years rather than easier as it usually does... Small confession here: after the hard time we've had with Walt, I kinda feel like I missed out on all that "sweet" baby time....that was one word that was rarely used in the same sentence with Walt. He's getting better, but I *really* LOVE those little baby times....and am so sorry I never had them with him. And really want to experience those times again.... But I just couldn't do 3 right now....I would have to change my location to "the loony bin"......but maybe when Abbie starts school we'll reach a decision one way or another....

Do you read John Rosemond? I like him. He's a bit harsh on some things, but in general I agree with him. He was once asked when do you take away a "lovey", like when they go to college or what? He said "not even then".

Be glad he has something that comforts him. Oh if life could be so simple as an adult.

Cute pictures kadaten. Your kids look so sweet.

ibouncetoo Sorry you are feeling ill. I hope you feel better soon. :grouphug: :flower3:

Well DH has gone out tonight to his friends to revise for their computer exam that they have in a few weeks. I'm sitting at home bored :bored: :bored:

Never mind Friends is on in 20 minutes......

Danauk, they put out the final episode of Friends Tuesday here. Isn't that crazy? Not the whole season, just the final episode.

kadaten, Walt is a wild man! He's got a pretty good vertical, you'd better sign him up for basketball. :teeth:

OK, I'm a little cheesed off with the TF. Even Butt boy has been given a new tag!!!! I just saw someone with 28 posts has 2 tags! Have I offended the great TAG FAIRY some how?!?
If so I'm sending an offering of

I was wondering though about chocolate. Do you guys get Thorntons chocolate in the USA?

Episodes 1 - 8 of series 10 of Friends is out here. The rest of the series will be out on June 4th. I'm going to wait for the box set I think though. I'm not sure when that will be out.

:rolleyes1 :rolleyes1 I seem to be talking to myself this evening!!! Where is everyone? We were nearly on page 2!

Excuse me folks. I just have to jump in here and lecture kadaten for a moment...

DO NOT take away any comfies from that boy. I KNOW THESE THINGS. I thought Son No. 1 was going to start his freshman year at college with a pacifier in his mouth. ;) I used to feel so guilty that I let him have it when he was well beyond MOST kids' ages who took nukkies. (And their parents were happy to let me know that! Ugh.)

(((((patriotic music starts playing)))))

Ya know what? Now I look back on it and say WHO CARES? Eric came into this world a high maintenance baby. He was not a cuddler. He did not lie in his crib and play with his toes. He demanded my full and undivided attention. He was a mover and shaker (and still is). So believe me, when he was tired and needed to wind down, I was darned grateful for that plug!

And those darned Parenting magazines? One day I thought about all these so-called child experts--the one's that tell you that children should not watch more than 1 hour of TV or videos per day? The ones that make you second guess all your maternal instincts? I came to the conclusion that they are all guys who work 12 hours per day and have never spent a full day with their children in their lives. They have nannies to do that for them. (Okay, except for Barry Brazelton, MD, who I, personally, absolutely adore.) In any event, I have found that the only thing those magazines are good for is starting a campfire or emergency toilet paper! :teeth:

Okay, I'm done--I think--at least for now.

You may go on with your previous discussions...

I'm here Danauk

My sister just dropped by with lunch and I was reading an old trip report of ohanafamily's that HE NEVER FINISHED!

Now I have an earache....don't know why, but must go take some asprin...and maybe a nap ::yes::

unofficial QOTD.....I didn't learn to drive till I was 27 years old!
Moved to Chicago right after highshcool and a car was more of a burden there than a convenience.

Speaking of QOTD, still don't have replys on favoriate character from many of you including RRBB, llebrekniT, Nephosaurus, Nieceosaurus (but I can guess), ohanafamily, geffric, RickinNYC and others (but I'm too sick of flipping back and forth to the color wheel).

I posted a thread on the CB about what does your tag mean, some of you have responded....

Butt Boy (I really don't know his real DIS name) had responded and now I see his response is gone, I went on to look at his new tag that Danauk had mentioned that he had....but no post from him...was he pulled from the DIS?

I learned to drive when I was 17 (the minimum age here.) My parents always said my 17th birthday present was driving lessons and insurance on my mums car! I guess they were sick of driving me around to band rehearsals and concerts!!!! Did I tell you that I was really into music. I played at county (I guess state level) on the trumpet so had lots of concerts and rehearsals.
Can I brag for a while??? I was one of the youngest people in England to take the highest instrumental exam. I took the exam at 13 that would usually be taken at about aged 17! It's a shame I don't play as much now, I'm not that good any more!
Anyway back on to topic! I passed my test ages 17 and had my mums car. That way I could drive to school (the music department had a car park near by that I could park in!). Then I saved like mad and worked my but off in Burger King to buy my own car ( aged 19) at university. The stupid thing was my trumpet and other instruments when in my car were worth more than the car!!!!

StaceyA Butt boy wasn't pulled from the dis. His new tag says 'Looking for girls in ALL the wrong places'. Polite ::yes:: but the TAG FAIRY and us really know what it means!!:p

ibouncetoo I hope the ear ache and cold clear up soon :flower3:

In that case, I wonder why his post is gone from my thread...unless I just missed it....I don't think he said anything that was pull worthy...well he did talk about his butt!!

never mind, it is right there on the first page...DUH
I think I missed it cause you can't see his pics anymore.....at least I can't see them!
