I'm going to try to come in on as much of a regular basis as possible. The problem is it's mostly going to be at night when the rest of youse are dealing with demonic children and what not. I really hate the fact that I can't log on at work. I feel like I'm missing so much. By the time I get sort of caught up, I forget all the posts I wanted to respond to! So, I'm going to apologize for not being able to respond to specific posts as much as I used to, and also for occasionally responding to "day-old" posts.

And speaking of which, how the heck did we get into the 300's??? I thought the page limit was like 150 or something. Did I not get the memo?

So my dates for Disney changed . My Dh wont have his Kelly day at work ( extra day off ) during my trip and he really wants to go . So now I will be there 9/28- 10/02 .
I hope it is not crowded and hot and I will never get him back there if he is miserable when he is there .

Thanks ohana! It's really good to be back. I missed you guys so much.

Actually, you might be interested to know that the main focus of this job is about trying to help their HR department to identify, prioritize and attain their technology-related goals (such as online applications), as well as trying to get their newly implemented HR system in working order. Unfortunately, like I said last night, they have a lot more problems than I thought when I interviewed...and they're a lot worse than I thought. But, it is potentially a good experience.

Seems I will be in WDW with RickinNYC again ..... But it also seems I will miss when you guys are there . So I get to miss out on all the cool stuff like the fireworks cruise and stuff that the Tag meet will all get to do

[color=FF3300]NC Beast[/color] has been to Plano for job related training and TDY. I need to go to Houston and San Antonio sometime and visit relatives. Dallas would be a cool place to visit-no known NPs there or relatives that I know.

Still looking for the disk...I am sure I have it somewhere...I think I figured out what happened to you; RRBB got an e-mail that opened up a box that said something similar and she closed it right away. It may have been a fairly new trojan in an e-mail that whacked out your IE settings. I will continue to search for the disk tonight, and tomorrow I will post the question on the Technet newsgroup. (yes there is a place like this where people more techy than I hang out...It is also moderated by Microsoft Support engineers (IOW people who know the answer...I will also search a couple of other resources; are you getting a specific error?

Uh...[COLOR=CC0000]Mad4Mickey[/COLOR], If you don't call and talk to RRBB we will mail your stuff tomorrow... She really does want to deliver it... Check your PM for the Phone #...

HuggaBaloo, Might I suggest a CYA Move... Memo the person who hired you and explain to them that the condition of the HR dept is repairable, but in a worse shape than they had indicated to you. You might need a little more time and authority to fix it. I would also mention a few things that they forgot to tell you about and how you plan to fix them (just a few) Talking to the upper management and giving them a status report never hurts...esp when they have high expectations. I wouldn't mention the stuff that you have no Idea on how to deal with... Focus on what you can fix and start to break the other stuff into smaller segments...OK, I know, you are an HR person and know all of this; but I still like the idea of firing the person who hired you.....
