Do you remember a while back (a long while back) Reeses had peanut butter/chocolate and babnana cups out. (They were in honor of Elvis Presley) Well, that combo just really turned me off. But there was someone on another thread that thought fried pickles sounded nasty. So we made this pact that I would try the babnana Reeses if she tried the pickles. Well....she liked the fried pickles a lot more than I liked the Reeses. I just can't do those flavors together. But I gotta add that I love fried pickles. Yummo!!









I have to tell ya'll a little story. When I was out shopping today, I was in a store in the clothing section. A mom and little girl walked by me and they were having a converstion....


Little girl....mom, I want one of those chairs.
Mom...don't you think you are to big for those little kid chairs?
Little girl....noooooooooo, just look at my butt. It's little.
It took everything I had no to crack up laughing.

You know, I've never had a fried pickle. Is there a particular way that you fry them? I'm intrigued.

I do have to say, when that Reeses came out, I was so not interested. I guess I only like the chocolate / banana combo in certain things. But I love a good Reeses. And, I particularly love the Reeses Peanut Butter Eggs for Easter. The peanut butter chocolate ratio is better than in a normal peanut butter cup.

TK...I have never fried pickles at home. I have always gone to this one restaurant for them. They are served with a ranch and/or a peppercorn dressing for dipping. Oh my goodness...my mouth is watering just talking about them. As far as I can tell they are just battered and fried. I have looked up the recipe for them and all the ones I have looked at call for cayenne pepper. I don't really think the restaurant we go to adds that.

when my dd was little she said she was thirsty - told her she had to wait a few min. as i was busy - she looked at me with her hand on her forehead and said i need to hurry b4 she melts.

I go to church with my doctor, so I feel comfortable enough to joke around with him.

A prescription for Cipro and Motrin later, I feel a bit better.

Hope ya'll had a great day. I found out that our Teacher Workday on Friday is cancelled. We don't have to go to work at all!

Two new houses came onto the market today, and they're listed below the one I really liked. And one has been totally gutted and redone. We're going to look at them tomorrow.

I feel like I need to look at this less emotionally and more like, what can I get for my money in different scenarios.

My daughter ate 2 poached eggs about 6pm so she is definately feeling better. My son is feeling normal. He was feeling much better this afternoon then all of a sudden he said he was fine now and could eat. Then he ate normal supper. They usually come back from being sick quickly.

I'm glad they are on the mend. If you try the pickles please let me know. Just make sure your oil is good and hot.

And in all honesty, as exciting as this whole prospect is, if I can't get something in our budget range, it's not going to happen.
