Mean Queen - SO good to chat with you yesterday!! On the other hand, I had no idea your DD was in school with that little girl.... That was so tragic to read, but I did notice right away what part of town it was in.

So, ok, on the housing front: we have been approved for buying a home!! Total. Shocker. It wasn't something we were planning to do but my dad got talking with the owners of a mobile home community and we went over there on Sunday. Filled out the paperwork as a "what the hey" and they called this morning that we were approved. Wow. It's a really nice neighborhood, great for the kids on their bikes, and there's a community pool! The home we are interested in has 4 bedrooms (!!) plus a den and one of the largest lots in the park (never mind that there's a horse farm right behind the wooden fence!).

We are also looking into a couple of rentals today. There's lots to think about here, considering DH still needs to find employment!

I'll keep you posted as I'm able!


TK - good luck with your housing venture!!! Sounds so exciting! I'm trying to keep up with all your posts as best I can, so let us know how it goes!

Happy to hear things are going so well for you! What a shocker that you may be buying instead of renting. I'm so glad it's working out. I got a very, very happy feeling when I think of you in Florida.

Well, I just spoke with my agent, and so far it looks like there's nothing wrong with the house.

Which is good and bad. It's good because there's nothing wrong with it. It's bad because it leaves me a lot less bargaining room. Oy. Vey.

And, according to me realtor, the reason it's been sitting on the market so long is that it was overpriced. Unfortunately, I don't know if they'll come down to what our ideal budget price is. I guess I'm going to have to make an appointment to sit down and chat with him.

When I first posted yesterday morning, I noticed it didn't say mouseketeer anymore under my avatar, it had changed to something I had said in a thread. I thought I had screwed up somehow and posted a line under my avatar. So, I went in and changed it back to mouseketeer. Then I asked a mod what happened and they explained tags to me. Dumm-de-dumm-dumm.

Now I wish I had it back.

Going ok. My son got sick last night but is feeling better now. I got a call at daycare from my son to tell me that my daughter threw up. I had to come home and disinfect/wash everything. She even left me some puke on the toilet to clean up. How lucky is that? She still feels like crap and will be missing dance class tonight.
