Hey ya'll!! :yay:

Hey, Smiley!

SadieDog, I am really saying some prayers that you all get some relief real soon. You could send some of the rain our way. We need it for our hay field. The second cutting is coming up off of the field, and for those of you who have horses, you'll know that the 2nd cutting is the only hay horses will eat. So the guy who rents our field sells the 2nd cutting for more of course. The more $ he makes, the more we can charge him for rent.

I wish I could send you rain for your field. My husband used to help hay when he was a teen. They had horses for a while.

MomsOf2boys, I hope you got my PM reply. I didn't really tell me if it went thru.

Yeppers my dear...it is heading back at ya!

That is really nice of you to help with such a big job. Your casserole sounds yummy!!! I'm thinking of holding myself a pity party just so you would make me some. :rolleyes1

We did it! We got the entire eat in kitchen stripped and a few putty patches done, dried, sanded, and even the entire 1st coat of paint. My coworker went back today for a 2nd paint coat. I did not as I am not the best painter. But her husband came home from Chemo and was very pleasantly suprised and said he could never have done it. His wife teared up as she thanked us. I would do it all again in a heartbeat.

The casserole was fabulous. LOL Left them enough for dinner as well. And Mean Queen, I could bring you one to Disney if you happen over that way while I am there. LOL

Hi everyone!!!

I slept too late this morning so no time to DIS before work. I did let them know today (finally!) that I won't be back after my vacation. It went fine; I'm the one who was all worked up! But really, they've been in business for years and will continue to function long after I'm gone. I just felt badly because it is a small company - outside of the family there are only two of us employed there. And I know she's had a hard time in the past finding good help. But, life goes on. It's not like I'm leaving them to work someplace else - I'm leaving them to be home with my kids! I will remain available to go in per diem when they're really busy with holiday orders and such.

So ONE MORE MONTH!!!!!!!!!!

How babnanariffic! We used to say that even though we're excited for the trip, we didn't want to wish our summer away. Well, I'm wishing it away because around here lately we don't even have summer...! So heck yeah, I'm wanting Sept. to get here so I can head south and into the low 90s!!!

Is anyone else planning to watch the opening ceremonies of the Olympics tonight? I may tune in for a while but I will be watching some of the equestrian events on-line (TV is notorious for giving that very little coverage).

Well I'm done babbling.

.

Very glad that it went well! HOOORAY for you!!!

I watched the opening and thought it was absolutely AWEsome. We attended an Olympic Party and watched it on a friends big screen and had snacks and such with 20 or so others. We also had fortune cookies to celebrate the China part of it.

That's weird about the hay, because here in the northeast, the horse farms I've worked and/or boarded at always fed both 1st and 2nd cutting, and if they also sold it, both were priced the same. You had to be real careful with 2nd cutting, though, as it tended to be much "greener" and thus more apt to cause colic! Maybe it's a regional thing. Is it alfalfa or timothy?? I know we have almost 100% timothy around here.

Oh well!

Speaking of horses, I'm going to watch some more dressage on-line here in a little bit. Tomorrow night's cross-country - jumping really, really big fences out on an open course! It can be quite exciting... :scared:

Right now I need to feed my family.... Sheesh, the nerve of them to think that their dinner should come before my DIS time!! :rotfl:

Well, I just got off the phone with Disney. (Okay, I'm paying rack rates. Sue me. My AAA agent would never get back with me and I have to book something right after dh decides its a good idea or he'll change his mind). Anyway, my anniversary present was of course my car. My birthday present. . .we re-upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Package. At some point, we decided we could not afford it. But this was the convo this morning:

DH: What do you want for your birthday?
ME: I thought the car was the birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, New Year's, Easter, and Mother's day present this year.
DH: Yeah, but I have to get you SOMETHING.
ME: No you don't.
DH: Sweetie will be mad if I don't get you something.
ME: Well, what I really want is something out of the price range, I'm sure.
DH: What?
ME: Well, remember I wanted to go on a solo trip. . .
DH: We already discussed that I don't want you to drive to Florida by yourself and you won't fly.
ME: It's not that. . .
DH: Then where?
ME: If we go back and upgrade to the Deluxe Package, it would cost about the same as a solo trip. Think, no worrying about the cost of the meals. It will already be paid.

What do I do? I jump at it and call Disney before he changes his mind. :)

Woohoo!!! YOu did that well... and he probably didn't know what hit him! lol

I'm exhausted. My DD's party went well. The weather behaved for us. :umbrella: My candy buffet was a big hit. We had the party at a country club pool. It wasn't closed down, so there were other people there. One lady kept coming over asking for Twizzlers (after the kids had filled their buckets.) :confused3 I was worried kids would be a problem, not some drunk, cigar smoking woman.

After the party, we had some friends come back to watch the Tampa Bay Bucs. Preseason is so boring, they left at half time. Now my DD and two of her friends are having a sleepover here. I'm hoping they are so tired that they pass out soon. I know I will. I actually hope I do before I hit the birthday cake again. I'll post pics of the buffet and cake tomorrow.

CREATIVEAMANDA - congrats on the upgrade! The vacation sounds nicer and nicer all the time.

MOMS - glad your work for your friend was appreciated.

ENGLISHROSE - The TF is very fickle lately. Good luck in your hunt.

Hi Smiley, LegoMom, and SadieDog!

How much do Tags Cost ?? Can I buy one !!!!????

:lmao: :rotfl:  As a TFW you should know better.

None of us have enough money. And I think the tag fairy wants our frst born. :lmao:

She can have mine and give her back when she returns to "normal." This pre-teen crap is for the birds. Everything is "I don't know" with her. If you ask her if the sky is blue or purple the answer is: "I don't know."

Must be different here. Our field is coastal bermuda. I think the horses have to have greener coastal bermuda grass. If it rains after he cuts next week, he'll have a nice third cutting as well.

Woohoo!!! YOu did that well... and he probably didn't know what hit him! lol

Hee Hee, he doesn't.

I'd buy one if I could as well. I am not beyond bribery to the TF.

I've tried Chocolate, and anything else I can think off!
A Tag A Tag my Kingdom for a Tag!!!!
Tag Fairy, Tag Fairy , Where for art thou Tag Fairy !!!

I'm starting to worry about her. . . It's been a month since anyone was tagged.

None of us have enough money. And I think the tag fairy wants our frst born. :lmao:

:scared1: My 1st born is my one who will do anything I ask her to.

Hi Smiley, LegoMom, and SadieDog!

That party sounds awesome. MMMM. . .candy buffet. dd9 would be in heaven as long as she could have chocolate.

Thanks. I've been working on the itinerary all night.

One of dh's students plays for the Chargers. But I haven't seen him play yet.

I had to change my ticker. Which is ok, I like the new one! But I couldn't see any tickers from Magical Kingdoms at all. If I tried to type in the web address, my dumb ISP page came up with "We're sorry, we couldn't find....". Then I tried to click on those tickers right in people's sigs. Same message. I Googled them, clicked on that link, still nothing.

So, for some reason I can't access them and I was tired of all the red x's! Mickey Path I can see just fine so I switched to them.

Plus I love Mater!

"Mah hood!....mah hood! I haven't seen that in 40 years!.....

Aw dang...."

Good morning everybody! I've got some exciting news to share. Last night we got tickets to see the new Cirque Du Soleil Show w/ Chris Angel (Believe) while we're in Vegas. They are running the show from September 12th through October 9th in preview mode meaning they will still be working out the kinks. Tickets are 25% off as a result.

I'm super excited because I think this is a brilliant collaboration between Chris Angel and Cirque. The other night I was watching one of my favorite shows - 'So You Think You Can Dance'. The Believe dancers performed a piece of the show and it was incredible. The head choreographer is Wade Robson who is brilliant. I've liked his work since years ago when he choreographed for N'Sync. I'm so excited about this - I had to share. Here's a snippet about the show:)
