Mean Queen... I guess you are kinda happy that your little one is down for the night. :goodvibes

LegoMom...How is your weather? Has the rain stopped?

I am very happy! Now if the other one would just go to sleep. She's a bit chatty and can't sit still tonight. Though she did say "Hey, I heard that song when we were in China at Epcot!"

I agree! I did agree with the top three, though I thought the guy who actually did sportswear should have won. I could tell who was going to be bottom two because they were completely off base. My DD keeps wondering why the "letha" lady is still on there. I told her because other people have managed to do worse than her.

I agreed with the top 3 as well and also wanted the same guy to win. I can't imagine Letha Lady will be around too much longer She always does the same type of stuff.

Well our power just went out! No storms right here, though, so something must have been hit elsewhere in the state. I have no idea how power stations operate or how wide-spread their "territories" are. We have a 5000-watt stand-by generator for the house, so when our power goes out, 30 seconds later the gen kicks in, and within 10 seconds of that, *poof*...power comes back on! I am totally spoiled by this and will miss it terrbly when we move someday.
.

Wow, I could have used that generator during the ice storm of '98. 12 days without power and water. :scared1: HORRIBLE, COLD, DARK, MISERABLE NEVER want to relive that one.

Hey the Lithuanians must all be DISers!!!! :lmao:

(decked out in lime green shirts, for those of you who missed it)

Smileybug, yes the rain finally stopped.

For now...:headache:

.

Good morning!

Yay, it's the weekend!! :yay:

Mean Queen, I have a question for you: what is the quickest way to get to Toy Story Mania from the park entrance? I'm not terribly familiar with the Studios and once we are there, I always end up somewhat confused by the layout (I blame that partly on Muppets dumping you out somewhere completely different than where you went in!).

Anyway, I don't expect huge crowds on our trip, but since we only have the one day at this park, I want to be sure we get to do TSM. My plan then is to run ahead first thing and grab FastPasses, then meet my family somewhere on Hollywood Blvd.

What's everyone up to this weekend? Not much here. DS11 has a pretty bad cold, plus the weather is still s*cky so there's just not much to do! I'm heading out for groceries shortly. I'll be back later!

When you get to the park, run straight for the hat. Then take a right under the arch towards Little Mermaid/Playhouse Disney. Turn left immediately when you go under the arch and go straight towards the big Pixar arch (past the VOTLM). You'll probably see the arch once you face it. I'd recommend taking the whole family, grabbing a fast pass, then jumping on the ride if the line is short enough. You will want to ride TSM more than once. When we go next weekend, that's our plan. Go early, grab a fast pass, ride the ride. Grab another fast pass, ride and repeat as often as we can.

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!

LegoMom...thanks for asking that question about TSM.

I wrote it all down in my plans. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

It is! And the rain better go away or we're in trouble. It's a pool party without a good backup. We can go inside at the club, but I don't have any activities planned for the kids if that happens. The candy buffet will only keep them entertained for a few minutes. It was meant to cap off a day of swimming, not be my total entertainment.

Great idea! I never even thought of that. See, isn't it nice being the resident Pro?!!

Gee, you're welcome....glad WE could help!! :lmao:

What are you up to today? We had SUN this morning!! I actually sat on my deck for a while. Alas, the clouds are moving back in....:sad2:

DH realized this morning just how close our trip is. He was VERY excited! (he's so ready for a vacation - any time off from work is good; WDW is the Grand Prize!)

.

Well, I just got off the phone with Disney. (Okay, I'm paying rack rates. Sue me. My AAA agent would never get back with me and I have to book something right after dh decides its a good idea or he'll change his mind). Anyway, my anniversary present was of course my car. My birthday present. . .we re-upgraded to the Deluxe Dining Package. At some point, we decided we could not afford it. But this was the convo this morning:

DH: What do you want for your birthday?
ME: I thought the car was the birthday, anniversary, Christmas, Hannukah, Kwanzaa, New Year's, Easter, and Mother's day present this year.
DH: Yeah, but I have to get you SOMETHING.
ME: No you don't.
DH: Sweetie will be mad if I don't get you something.
ME: Well, what I really want is something out of the price range, I'm sure.
DH: What?
ME: Well, remember I wanted to go on a solo trip. . .
DH: We already discussed that I don't want you to drive to Florida by yourself and you won't fly.
ME: It's not that. . .
DH: Then where?
ME: If we go back and upgrade to the Deluxe Package, it would cost about the same as a solo trip. Think, no worrying about the cost of the meals. It will already be paid.

What do I do? I jump at it and call Disney before he changes his mind. :)

Let us know how it went.

We saw the sun for a few minutes. Now it's not looking too promising.

creativeamanda, way to go. Happy eating.

If you must know, I couldn't be bothered to write up a new post for the PTR. I was too busy on the phone with Disney Dining. (21 minutes on my phone, btw, which is good for making 12 ressies! :rotfl: )

My DS11 just saw this and cracked up!! He hates Crocs.

DH hates crocs. I don't like how they look, but I love wearing them. So, when I wear them, I just don't look at my feet. :rolleyes1
