For 5 of you....that would be a pretty penny.

I have found that you tube is good for when you need a Disney fix. :thumbsup2

Yes, it is....especially when I can go there and see Spaceship Earth as it was meant to be!!!....with Jeremy Irons narrating.:sad1: And the old incarnation of the WEDway spiel (although that change didn't bother me as much).

And yes, doing MNSSHP would run us nearly $300 last time I priced it!!! Yikes. And while I'm sure it's fun, it's not "$300" fun, kwim?! We can do the Hoop-de-Doo for less (if paid OOP) and THAT'S fun!!! My kids loved that show. And we got a huge meal out of it.

$300.00!! :scared1: That is scary. We have never done Hoop-de-doo. But I have heaard good things about it. :thumbsup2

Boy, you have been busy! :) How are the schools doing in your area? We have had alot of teacher layoffs. They have combined some schools. But then again new schools are on line to be built in the very near future. :confused3

We are having a real difficult time with schools. The week before last, we did not renew the contracts for 40 paraprofessionals (assistants) and we cut 28 certified positions. They are blaming part of it on the superintendent who embezzled $500,000, but that's only a small percentage of the reason. The economy is just in the toilet and we don't have the tax base for the personnel. Marion County is now at a whopping 23% unemployment rate.

I feel like things may be starting to improve around here. But it is due to Boeing and several other large industries coming into the Tri-County area. I guess we will see how this next year goes....

TK, I had pregnancy induced hyprtension. My due date was July 17. Starting in late April I had begun going every 2 weeks. In late May it was every week with a non-stress test every week. The day DD was born my BP was something like 172/110. They had me go to the Hopital for what they said were more tests(later on I kinda figured they knew that the baby was going to be taken that night and didn't want me to freak out more/not go to the hospital). DD was born 4 weeks early and was 3 lbs. 15.5 ounces. When I got to the hospital I told the labor & delivery nurses which Dr. offices sent me over. I told them why(high BP), and they go, "did you walk up here by yourself." I go, "yea, I drove over here myself." The nurses couldn't get a wheelchair fast enough. I had been told in early June to go on bed rest, but, I couldn't because another aide was out because of surgery and that already left us shorthanded. Two being out would've been a great hardship.

I KNOW!!!! I;m totally with you, we have never done the MNSSHP either, because I can't justify the expense for that for the 6 of us... It was something like 350. I mean, we're already paying for our tickets, so we'll just use them in another park. I've asked people in the past what makes it so great... and I never get a reason that makes me so excited that I wouldn't want to miss it. We just figure that the other parks will be less crowded. But some people say it's something they do every year. Sept is a wonderful time to go. the crowds are low, and the park is nicely decorated.

TK.... i have a feeling.. today eill be your day! good luck.

I've got to go to bed... I'll try and catch you all tomorrow. I'm sleepy. .

It used to be a lot cheaper to do the extra events, like MNSSHP and they gave you more. When I first went, every family got a complimentary photo from the event. They stopped that 4 or 5 years ago. The tickets used to be about $30 a person too, which I was very willing to pay for the low crowds, bags and bags of candy, amazing parade, fun character meets, and to see the fun costumes everyone wore in the parks. Now with 3 of us being Disney adults and one child and the price being almost as much as a full day ticket, it's not such a deal.

And don't get me up on my Disney "adult" soap box. :headache: Could I let my 10 year old come to the park alone? No? Then she's not an adult and shouldn't cost the same as one! Argh.

LegoMom.....Are the Halloween decorations up when you go? I bet the boys would enjoy seeing them if not. :goodvibes Maybe next year they will extend free dining like they did this year. It has been extended until Dec.
Because of this we booked a trip Nov/Dec time frame. :goodvibes

TK....There is always tomorrow......................................:goo dvibes

See.....How can we ever forget the fist shaking? :rotfl:

...uhhhh, what are "goo dvibes" ?? :confused3

Thanks! I started having contractions yesterday, but they fizzled out and didn't amount to my being dilated much further. My back, however, is really achy, very similar to the start with my DS. We'll see. :lmao:

...ohboyohboyohboyohboyohboy...:hyper:

AMEN!!!!!!!!!!

And kids are "discriminated" against as if Disney is losing money on them! Next time we go, even though my youngest won't quite be 10, I'm putting him on as an "adult" because he HATES being forced to order off the kid's menu.:sad2: It's SO limited in most restaurants and quite frankly, he has more grown-up tastes than that.

And you don't wanna know what kind of money it costs FIVE adults to go to Disney World!!.....:faint:

Hi everyone. I still have not heard anything about my computer. I think it's been 3 weeks. UGH

It's going to be very hot tomorrow. In the morning, I'm heading to my camp for the day.

YO! S'up my homies?.....

How's everyone? Doing anything fun this weekend? I have a laundry-filled day ahead of me. DS8 and DS10 came home from a week at camp last night! I don't even wanna open those duffel bags!:scared: Then I've got some stuff to do at camp. Thinking about the movies tomorrow night. Otherwise a pretty laid-back couple of days!

We saw Sorcerer's Apprentice yesterday. I liked it. DH and DD10 were so-so about it. Though one scene will make any Disney fan laugh.

Today we went out and adopted 2 new kitties. DH saw one that looked like the one we lost in January. But he didn't want to leave the litter mate behind, so we got both. We named them Shadow and Tiana. The boy (Shadow) is black and white. The girl (Tiana) is black with a little white and orange. Both are very sweet and playful. Now we are officially crazy cat people with 5 cats total.
