We saw Sorcerer's Apprentice yesterday. I liked it. DH and DD10 were so-so about it. Though one scene will make any Disney fan laugh.

Today we went out and adopted 2 new kitties. DH saw one that looked like the one we lost in January. But he didn't want to leave the litter mate behind, so we got both. We named them Shadow and Tiana. The boy (Shadow) is black and white. The girl (Tiana) is black with a little white and orange. Both are very sweet and playful. Now we are officially crazy cat people with 5 cats total.

I'm right behind ya.....we've got four! It's like they just keep accumulating.:confused3

did TK have her baby??? I haven't seen her on this thread since she said she was having contractions.
We're having a quiet weekend... sort of.... as usual another swim meet for DD, but today wasn't as far as last time. She did very well, and finished top 10 in all of her events. There's a LOT of swimmers, so I'm just a bit proud,
then we came home, had some friends and family over for swim and a BBQ made some noise with fireworks. now I'm checking out the boards, but starting to think what the heck am I doing up ... it's nearly 2:30 in the morning,,, and the little guy wakes up early. Hope you're all having fun.

Mean Queen, congrats on the new little family members. :lovestruc

Lego Mom, did your boys enjoy camp?

daisyyy, congrats to your daughter.

We had a beautiful day at our camp yesterday. The water was warm and it was so hot you could go in and out of the lake without getting cold.

Tink was just wondering that over on Facebook! Apparently no one's heard from her in a few days, which of course gets us all to wondering!!:hyper:

They did, yes! Thanks. They were ready to come home, but had a GREAT week and are asking to go back next year! That's a good sign.

We have one of our two really big weeks here at our camp starting tonight. It's a middle-school group -- hang onto your butts!! I'm hoping DS13 will go over and spend some time with them. We know the guy who runs this particular camp and he personally invited him, so here's hoping....

Yeah team! Beat the Stankees! We're really hoping for another championship run but that will also be fuel to the fire for the owners blackmail to get the city to build them a new stadium (that we can't afford, but baseball sure has the money to do it their darn self.)

TK, I had pregnancy induced hyprtension. My due date was July 17. Starting in late April I had begun going every 2 weeks. In late May it was every week with a non-stress test every week. The day DD was born my BP was something like 172/110. They had me go to the Hopital for what they said were more tests(later on I kinda figured they knew that the baby was going to be taken that night and didn't want me to freak out more/not go to the hospital). DD was born 4 weeks early and was 3 lbs. 15.5 ounces. When I got to the hospital I told the labor & delivery nurses which Dr. offices sent me over. I told them why(high BP), and they go, "did you walk up here by yourself." I go, "yea, I drove over here myself." The nurses couldn't get a wheelchair fast enough. I had been told in early June to go on bed rest, but, I couldn't because another aide was out because of surgery and that already left us shorthanded. Two being out would've been a great hardship.

I'm glad everything turned out okay! :goodvibes

Hi, ladies!

Still having contractions but nothing that could even remotely be called consistent. Maybe a handful a day, if that.

I haven't been on because DS got really sick. On Thursday, he came down with a fever and I had to pick him up early from preschool. When they took his temp it was over 102, and he had a sore throat. Poor little nugget. So we've been lying low and I haven't really had time to be on the computer. He's doing much better now (fever seems to be basically gone) so that's good!

TK, that's no fun. Glad you son is feeling better.

Yes, I'd say asking to go back is a good sign.

I hope your son takes the guy up on his offer and visits the camp when others his age are there.

Nothing wrong with a little enthusiasm. :thumbsup2

Mornin'!

She is just excited about being a Dis-Aunt. :thumbsup2 Dis-Aunt.....:rotfl: That kinda has a disfunctional ring to it. Doesn't it? :rotfl2::eek::lmao:

I like the sound of a DIS-Aunt.:goodvibes

I wasn't going for the dysfunctional angle though, we have plenty of that in our own family. :lmao:

Good morning, nanners!

No dice so far. Baby boy is happy where he is. :lmao:
