Good morning. It's snowing. We are supposed to get 4-8" and I didn't even realize we were going to get any. My daughter has the car in another town where she spent the night. UGH Now she has to drive home in this.

Wow....our cold left fast and now we are back in the upper 60's low 70's. I wish I could package some of this and send it to you. :goodvibes

SadieDog - "ugh" is right! Hope she gets home soon, and safe. I am SO not missing having to deal with those driving conditions!

Good morning Smileybug. How are you today?

DH and I are heading outside today to do a bunch of projects. Weather is beautiful this week. I'm also finally going to join the gym!!! DH goes to the Gold's in town and gave me a 7-day pass. I'll definitely be signing up at the end! It's amazing how stubborn 15 lbs. can be. I went clothes shopping on Saturday and undressed in front of a full-length mirror twice that day.......I just have no words.....:sad2:
:lmao:

Actually, no, what I saw was NOT funny!! Anywho, I'm keeping that solo trip in sight as my carrot on the string. MUST trim down before then.

Oh yeah, and I did end up with some great clothes!

It was warm Sat when my daughter and I went shopping. It was 39 and no wind. We didn't even need a winter jacket. I hate walking around stores in a bulky winter coat. My zip-up fleece was fine for walking back and forth to the car and parking lot. It's 23 now and I have not been out to see if it's breezey. Really should take the dogs out later though.

I won't feel comfortable until she is home. I hate driving in a storm and certainly don't like her out in it either. Yikes, she has to go back to college today too. Not sure if she is going back with her friend, but I would feel better if my husband drove her.

I have never belonged to a gym. Hope you like it.

I got a few items of clothing Sat at Target and TJ Maxx. I was shopping in clearance. I got a pair of athletic type pants at Target for $3.75. It was the one and only pair or I would have got more. Target is one of the few stores that carry XS. Almost all my pants are some type of athletic pants with elastic waste with a tie. It's the only type I can find to fit. I have been unable to find jeans that fit me. The lower rise jeans are not cut properly to fit my hips. The only ones that fit ok are stretch jeans b/c they are made to hug your body. My daughter gave me a pair that are too short for her. I can't tell you how uncomfortable low rise stretch jeans are to wear. I have to shop mostly in Juniors b/c the clothes fit me better. I however don't want to look like a woman in my 30's trying to look like a teenager. I'm not, I just want something to fit.

I have a weight issue on the other side. When I went to the Dr for my sinus infection, I was 98lbs. I would like to gain a few pounds. My daughter saw a pic of me from summer and said "gross, your legs look like sticks." If only I could choose where to distribute the weight. I'd like some in my face and chest please. :rotfl2:

Morning, ladies!

We got a light dusting of snow here last night, it was mostly rain for the majority of the evening, though.

Sadie, I hope your daughter gets home okay.

LegoMom, I don't know any woman who relishes the thought of undressing in front of those mirrors.

This is probably why I do the majority of my shopping online. I did however, get an adorable top at a maternity store the other day, so I was excited about that. It's the funniest thing, they have those baby bump pillows you can wrap around yourself with a velcro attachment so you can guesstimate how the shirt will look when you're bigger.

I put it on and thought, oh boy. I remember that. And that's what I'm headed straight for. :lmao:

They also had this really cute dress, but it didn't quite fit. I found it online in a size bigger, so I ordered.

And thank goodness! It looks like temps for my trip are climbing into the high 70s and 80s!!!! I know it's still early but that is mega exciting to me.

We got a ton of cleaning out done yesterday, and my mom, brave soul, offered to come over and help today. Bless her. When I clean it can get a little crazy, but the end result is always good.

Have a great Monday, folks!

Sadie, are petite clothes at department stores still too big for you?

Just curious, that could be an option.

Often the petite pants are not quite long enough. I'm only 5' 1 1/2" but I guess my legs are longer for my body, not sure. My next try will be Kohls petite. I have been able to find a pair or 2 of athletic pants long enough there. Usually pants labeled 'short' are better length than petite and most 'short' I find in Juniors. It used to be that most petite clothes looks too old ladyish for me, but it's getting better. Kohls had a decent petite section last year. Hope that's still the case. I tried on a bunch of jeans at Target and TJ Maxx but nothing fit. It's so frustrating. Is it too much to ask for 1 pair of jeans that actually fit? I've been looking for a few years. It's ridiculous.

TK, that's so nice your Mom will come over and help you. Having company makes a job much more pleasant and gives you more motivation.

Hello everyone! Well, today is my last day of Christmas break. :guilty: Fiance and I have to pack our stuff up and head back to college. I'm nervous because tomorrow will be my first day of my Master's Program! Wish me luck!

SadieDog- I hope your daughter makes it home safe!

Truthfully, I have the same problem and I'm 5' 4". I find that short pants, (for me typically from Old Navy) fit just perfect in length, but in order to get a petite pant that fits, I have to go WAY above my normal size. Petite cuts are smaller, and for my wide hips, it just doesn't work. I do like Kohls and they can be fairly trendy, so I hope you have some good luck there. I know you probably like to try on, but have you checked out their online as well? I do well on the Kohls website and I'm almost positive there's a 30% off code right now.

Actually, I don't even really want her to do anything, just be company, you know? I'm grateful she offered.

Bummer on the last day but how exiting to start your master's!!!

I don't know if you've said before, but what are you getting your masters in? :goodvibes

Quite a worthwhile field. :thumbsup2

Yeah, I've just always been interested in psychology classes and all that (which I majored in for my Bachelor's Degree). I'm just nervous that these classes are going to be so hard! Well I better go start packing. I'll be back on the DIS once we get settled in this afternoon!

Should I tell you that most of the clothes I got were from the Goodwill store? Seriously, you should see some of the stuff people get rid of!! I really scored. I found one t-shirt I couldn't pass up: it says "Do Not Disturb - Mom on Vacation".....:rotfl2:

I cannot buy pants in the store, either. I looked through racks and racks of jeans but if it would fit over my butt, it was WAY too long (I'm 5'1"). I usually buy pants on-line; I've found some casual stuff from LL Bean that fits me perfectly and is uber-comfortable, but they just raised the price on them so now I have to wait for a sale.....:headache:

You'll do great! :goodvibes

Nothing wrong with that! If you find stuff at Goodwill, I know, it's amazing that people get rid of brand new things. Hey, I've even been guilty of that. There's some stuff that just never gets worn and I'd rather donate it than have it sit in my closet. I wish I could get my husband to clean out his, but that's a whole other ball of wax.

I used to love LL Bean jeans, but I don't like things above my waist anymore. I prefer for them to sit at waist or just below, but not a low rise. It's tough to find pants like that, but I do pretty well with Old Navy.

I'm so hard to fit, I don't normally order online. If I find a pair of pants at Kohls that fit, I could shop online for different colors. Been looking for a few years so I'm not too hopefull.

Just having someone around to talk to while doing a project is great.

I check out Goodwill too. :thumbsup2

TK, I also like pants to fit below the waste but not the super low rise the teens wear. Mid rise, maybe that's what they call it.

OK, going to call my daughter now. She's probably still sleeping. I can't help but feel uncomfortable with her driving on bad roads. Too many car accident deaths in my family.
