I'm very surprised they would throw a kid with such severe anxieties with another student rather than a trained teacher. It sounds like you handled it great and deserved that ice cream.

Ditto. Sounds like he's got some very deep issues and I'm a little surprised he's even being "mainstreamed." I know school districts are trying to do that more and more but some kids just can't handle it. But you did a great job handling it!!

TK - glad you got to see the pirate. I think it's great the doctor is being so proactive. My last DD was born at 34 weeks, the day before I was supposed to start my weekly non-stress tests. My BP went nuts with very little warning. I think if I had been monitored more closely like you are, it may have been prevented.

This is going to come out weird no matter how I say it, but after seeing him yesterday, and all the incredible detail of the ultrasound, I feel like he's a real baby now!

I'm glad they're being proactive. After the experiences we just had with my mom, better safe than sorry is my new cliche.

But it was just a long day, and I have the highest respect for those that work with special needs kids day in and day out. You guys are miracles.

You exhibited an incredible level of patience, hon, and I commend you. I know adults who wouldn't have been able to handle that situation.

We're doing great here...well, other than losing my mom. I had a wonderful ultrasound yesterday where we got to see how healthy the little pirate is and that was awesome.

I just realized we finally made it to double digits... 99 days!! woohooo~ Isn't there a song??? ninety-nine days of day dreamin' left. ninety-nine days to go. omg... Can't wait.

I also just realized that I signed up my oldest DD for a swim meet 3 1/2 hours away on father's day... She's a USA swimmer and very competitive, she likes to do these invitationals, but they're not required... I thought it was closer in Hershey, but they are having it at a university much farther away. Would you skip it? I think I should skip it, but hate to disappoint her, and the coach. That's a lot of driving for 3 minutes in the pool.... UGH!
