I'm home for lunch and back to daycare for 2:20. Nothing exciting going on here. Dega's incision looks great and it's no longer leaking, but she still has a sac of fluid near it. As long as it's still looking like no sign of infection, she won't go back to the vet for a recheck until Thursday afternoon.

So I've made some big plans for my upcoming Mom's Disney weekend. We're trying out Blue Zoo, taking the Keys to the Kingdom tour, and doing the Wishes dessert buffet. We're also doing the quick service dining plan, since Blue Zoo and the buffet don't take table service credits.

Right now we are doing everything we can to make sure that my mother is comfortable and at peace. From what I know from the nurses, she's not suffering and she's not in any pain. However small, that is a blessing.

Hi SadieDog and kimmar! Looks like you guys are the only ones around today! Been slow here lately. I haven't heard from TK in a few days...

SadieDog, how is Dega today? Good to read your update that she seems to be doing better. No more surgery is good!!

We have a sick little kitten here at our house.... DS13 found it up the road the other evening, on the side of the road. It has a nasty wound on the top of its head (looks like maybe it scratched it raw) and it looks to have an upper-respiratory thing going on. DH and DS13 are taking it to the vet this afternoon. I really don't want to spend $$ but I can't let him suffer. If he can be fixed up then we'll keep him, but if it's something like Feline Leukemia then at least he won't have to be miserable anymore.


On a much happier note, I checked in on-line this morning!!

Dega's bulging sac of fluid has shrunk! The incision looks good and still no more leakage. She is being checked tomorrow afternoon. Tomorrow will be 2 weeks of being crated. She might be ready to jump out of her skin. She NEEDS to RUN and PLAY. Hendrick is dying to play with her.

My mother passed this morning. Eventually, I'd like to write more, but for now, while I am still...at a loss for words...I'll borrow a memorial poem I found on the interent.

Do not stand at my grave and forever weep.
