POP was always my favorite of the value resorts. The pool is fun, the food court good, and the theming cool. Are you going to Universal Studios or Islands of Adventure?.

I think I will by the 2 parks in 1 day ticket and see what we can get done.

My neighborhood just got out of an hour 1/2 blackout. :sad2: BORING!

Anywho I wasn't on this thread much today, but I hope everyone has a good night/morning/afternoon whereever you are :) Sweet dreams/wake-ups/day! LOL.

Good morning....

I think.

I'm not sleeping well these days and last night was a real beauty! I feel like those people in the ads waiting for that Luna moth to come around, only it doesn't...

I was never blessed with the gift of sound sleep, and becoming a mom 11 years ago did NOT help! (you get those "mom ears" that hear every tiny little noise that MIGHT be the kids!!...) On top of that my dearest DH is a snorer.... Aaaaaaarrggh! Make it stop!!!! I used to wear ear plugs but a) my DH is at work when the rest of us all go to sleep, and I want to be able to hear something if I need to, and b) they've started to irritate my ears lately when I do use them. So, mom goes to sleep. Mom sleeps 2 - 3 hours before DH comes home and into bed. Snoring wakes mom up, who proceeds to the couch. Well, we're wide awake now! Lay on couch for god-knows-how-long, waiting for pretty green moth. Finally fall asleep and 5 minutes later the alarm goes off....

Time for some Rope Drop music....

Hope y'all have a great day!!!

I can totally relate to your inability to sleep. (Love the smiley, btw.)
Hope you have a great day anyway. :thumbsup2

GOOD MORNING YA'LL!!

LegoMom...Rope drop music has become my new chant!!
Rope drop music, rope drop music, rope drop music.
You all get the picture.

Okay, need advice. Have any of you done Mickey's very merry Christmas Party? Our Anniv. is Nov. 27th and the party is that night. Trying to decide if I should buy tickets. If we do we won't go into the park until mid day and have a late lunch/early dinner hopefully at the Crystal Palace. And then stay for the festivities. So what do ya'll think? Opinions please.

I think it's a great idea. Disney lets you in around 4 p.m. for those events (though it says 7-12 on the ticket), I'm guessing so you can spend all your money eating at their restaurants and shopping in their stores. So you wouldn't have to use a ticket if you didn't want to. I love the Disney special events (MNSSHP, P&PP, MVMCP). You get shorter lines, cool parades, even more amazing fireworks than normal, and smaller crowds.

Thanks Mean Queen!:thumbsup2 I have park hopper tickets for our time there. So it really doesn't matter what time we go in. We actually had tickets for this event last year. But I got really sick and we weren't able to use them. :sad2: I just wanted to hear how ya'll felt about this party before spending the money again. :goodvibes

You won't get your rope drop music, but you'll still have a good time. You know, as many times as I've been to WDW, I've never made it for rope drop. I tried when we stayed at the GF in June, but we missed it by a few minutes.

Rope Drop is AWESOME!!! I mean, not that it's really "cool" or anything, but for people like us who live and breathe Disney, it's a must-see at least once. On our trip last fall I did an EMH opening at MK - all by myself! Rest of my family wouldn't get up, so I left a note and off I went! It's one of the best memories I have of that trip. The train pulls up and the conductor gets off and makes his little announcement, then the dancers do their thing, followed by the characters. Finally Mickey himself appears (and Minnie, of course) and everyone counts down to opening! On "one" they toss confetti and drop that rope! Usually everyone makes a mad dash for Fantasyland (esp. if it's EMH) but if you hold back and let them rush through, Main Street is SO nice at that time!

Am I the only one who is seeing a box up there that says "Upgrade to Pro today!...bandwidth exceeded" ?? Is that me, or a problem with Mean Queen's photobucket account?!
