Hey there everybody!

That was so nice of you Mean Queen to greet the morning with a smiley. :thumbsup2

Let's discuss Christmas. Specifically - What one thing are you excited about GIVING for Christmas ... AND ... What do you WANT for Christmas?

Love it! Ok, so far the thing I'm the most excited about giving is the PS 2 system we got for the boys. They are gonna FLIP!!! We had managed to convince them we'd never have a gaming system in the house (other than their Gameboys) so they are not expecting this one! :laughing:

What one thing do I really want? Well, to be able to go to Disney in '08, but so far I can't see that happening....:sad2: But, back on Planet Reality, I'd LOVE to get an iPhone!! Probably won't, but I'd love one... Or an upgraded digital camera. I always love scrap booking supplies, and this year I'd love some good-quality kitchen tools (I'm a big Rachel Ray fan!).

I'm still here. It snowed yesterday and we had a 2 hr delay today. Man, I'm so ready for spring.

Well for one thing, I know I want some peace and quiet...:rotfl2: The one I'm most excited to give (which would be something I'm also recieving) is the renewal of our Disney APs. Another year of fun! :cool1:

I did a digital scrapbook through Shutterfly for DH. I'm too lazy and disorganized to try to do my own anymore. He's not expecting that. I'm also excited to see DD8 open all her Santa gifts. We found all the HSM dolls and the HSM Sing It for the Wii.

What I want most is my great grandmother's quilt fixed and DD unfortunately let it slip that I will probably get that. I also want a second portable hard drive for my computer to store all my photos. The present I'm most excited about is one I already know about, my new bathroom. My in-law's are paying to have it expanded and have a whirlpool tub, new toilet and vanity put in. :banana: :banana: :banana:

Here is a pic of Tigger (!) that I just snapped:

Tigger.jpg

He's out in the living room right now and has discovered one of the cat toys! Our other cat is on the porch. He's far too interested in the new guy, who's not ready to meet him yet! So, Tigger is having some play time while Pippin just watches through the french doors...

He's a cutie! Love the name too. Our cat names are Lightning, Goofy, and Minnie. Can you tell which ones we got when we lived in Orlando? :lmao:

Lego Mom - I want an I Phone too. I won't get it though because that would mean switching service providers and I'm not even close to my other contract being up. I wish all service providers could sell the I Phone. My sister recently bought one and loved it so much went back and got her hubby one.

Mean Queen - what an awesome gift for your inlaws to get you. You all must get along pretty good ... either that or your hubby is super spoiled. ;)

Leah - I hope you get some peace and quiet for Christmas. You deserve it. :thumbsup2

My DH wants an iPhone too, but I had just bought him a new phone (that he hates) before it came out. We do have ATT so we wouldn't have to change carriers. I guess I could get him the phone, but now he wants to wait until it has more storage. His friend has one and it doesn't store much.

My in-laws are very generous. Part of the money is coming from an inheritance from DH's brother who died this year. His parents don't need the money, so they are spending it on us. They don't want to directly give us the money or we'd have to pay a huge tax. So instead, they are buying us very nice gifts.

Anyone else doing nothing big this Friday night? We got our tree tonight. We got a white pine for the first time. The needles are long and very soft so we don't have to worry about the baby getting hurt. Though they do seem harder to vacuum up though. Anyone else get a tree? How do you get yours? We have tree lots set up in parking lots of supermarkets or at Home Depot. Not too many tree farms in our area.

I didn't do anything special - in fact, I was in bed before 9:00. :laughing:
We are not putting up a tree - we never do.:sad2:

Sorry about your DH's brother. But that is very nice of your in-laws. I can tell you that my in-laws wouldn't, well Dad-in-law wouldn't (b/c of his current wife) but DH's mom basically furnished our home when we first got married - gave us almost all her furniture she had in storage - Ethan Allen antiques! I was very happy with that! :)

Sorry about not putting up a tree. :sad1: But I can relate to being in bed by 9pm - DH didn't feel well :sick: so we were in bed -him sleeping and me on my laptop surfing! :surfweb:

Anyone have any plans for today? I'll be off with some friends to one of the most prettiest places in Virginia (well, I think it is) Strasburg, VA, for my paint club's Christmas Luncheon.

Have fun everyone!

Good morning all you [previously] Tagless Wonders!
:banana: :banana: :banana:
I thought a few bananas were in order this morning,
since it's been so QUIET around here!

:rotfl:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My DH just took my kids to their cousins' house for a birthday shindig, so I'm off to Stuff-Mart to get some... well, stuff! I'm going to get everything for the boys' stockings while I'm out today (that would include DH!:goodvibes ). Then it's off to the grocery store and then home to clean this disaster of a house. I don't keep up with it so well when nobody's coming to look at it!:rolleyes1
Mean Queen - we put up a fake tree this year (first time ever....:sad2: ) but usually we cut our own. Lots of tree farms in this neck of the woods! We don't usually have White pines, though, so that sounds neat (they grow EVERY where around here in the wild - I've got a gigantic one in my yard that's got to be near 100 years old!).
DeterminedOne - NO tree!!?...:scared: I can't imagine. Well, yes I can actually - lots less work!! - but I've got the three kiddos so I'd never get away with it!
SmileyBug - we're thinking of you!!!
Have a great day everyone!:yay:
Awww, Tigger is so cute! He has a cute name too.
Well, my computer crashed. You know...you never think that this will happen to you. Right now I'm on a different computer, but I just advise everybody back up your files soon just in case!
Yeah - people give me crazy looks when I tell them we don't put up a tree. In fact, I had this conversation yesterday with an employee and he was flabergasted. :laughing:
Mischa - my plan for today is to purchase DH's birthday gift. His birthday is tomorrow. I'm taking him out for a steak dinner and giving him a gift certificate to the spa. He's so hard to buy for and every year say he doesn't want anything for his birthday. I have been to the spa several times the last few months and every time he acted a little jealous. That is why I am getting him the spa certificate.
I can't imagine not having a tree. Though I could do without all the work involved. BK (before kids), DH and I got a tiny fake one for our first apartment together. My mom was so upset she got us a real one.
I think the spa gift is a great idea. My DH loved when we got a couple's massage on the Disney cruise. You could do something romantic like that with him. That way, you get another spa treatment too.
DD & I will get our real tree sometime before next Sat. I told her that after this Christmas I'm planning on getting a fake tree. I hate them, but, I'm tired of spending money for a tree that I'm only going to have for 2-3 weeks. And this is after I drug it home and then have to drag to the curb.
I like the spa idea. You'll have to let us know what he thinks of the gift! My DH wouldn't go for that type of gift, but he is the same way - so hard to buy for - I know he likes tools, but I don't know the difference from one tool to another. :confused: :rotfl2:
I'm watching SNL's the best of Will Farrell and I just saw one of my favorite skits ever. "I need more cowbell!" :rotfl2: "When I'm done here, you're going to be wearing gold plated diapers baby." :lmao: Now back to my spiked egg nog and SNL.
