OK, I have been around here for years and am still tagless. What's up with that. I see some newbies that have like 4 or 5. Just sayin':rolleyes1

I guess you need to say more stupid things. :lmao: Very few have been tagged from this thread, but it's still a fun place to hang out. Good luck in your hunt.

Good morning!

Well it's snowing like the dickens here and the turkeys just wandered through the yard! Kids are home from school and I'm home from work. I'm going to do some scrapbooking today, do some spot cleaning, and just hang out and enjoy my day.:goodvibes

Gobble gobble!

I bet those turkeys were thinking "It's safe, that horrible holiday where they celebrate murdering us is over!"

My new windows come tomorrow! I'm so excited! Plus, I'm getting a new bathroom (with a whirlpool tub) for Christmas from my in-laws. Yes, I have very generous in-laws. Our house was fine for 3, but once the baby came it became too small. So I'm happy to start slowly expanding. Plus, you all have shown me what a pain selling your house and moving is. :lmao:

Well, you can delete it, if you really hate it! But....the whole thing with tags is getting caught saying something that generally makes you look bad or feel embarrassed, or that you meant one way but it can be taken another!

Oh so that's where the tags come from. I never knew that! Just goes to show you - you learn something everyday! :) Thanks!

How did the rest of your day turn out? Is it still snowing? Do you think schools will be open tomorrow? I know it's a pain, but that snow sure is pretty. ;)

Hi everyone! Yay!! I got tagged!! I was sooo tired when we got back (later then we wanted to) and now I feel so, not tired. I think I'll go and get a coffee. :surfweb:

Yep, schools are open today. Unless it was still snowing hard, they won't close for a 2nd day. As it is I have to start marking off the days on the school calendar to see when they will eventually get out! Last year they actually extended the school days by a half hour for the last two weeks, to avoid being in school until July!! (part of that was missing an unexpected week due to some extreme rains that flooded out several roads in town).

Anywho, we're all back to our normal schedules today. It's pretty, but it's a HUGE pain in the butt....

ETA: Mean Queen: You ROCK! I got me some mint M&Ms in the mail yesterday! I've stashed them away. These are different than the ones I bought - my bag was red, and the M&Ms were only green and white!! Anyway THANKS!
:sad2:

Wow! Those made it quick, I just sent them out on Saturday. I packed a little sunshine in there from Florida, did you get it? ;)

Our school system uses days off to make up for hurricane days (no snow days here.) When we had the busy season a few years ago, they took up 4 days to cover the storm days... even though we weren't hit directly. It is such a pain, because we usually plan something for those 3 day weekend (as in WDW.)

Good Morning All!

I got my new windows in. It's amazing what a difference a few windows can make to a house. Our house is from 1967 and had the original jalousy (sp?) windows. Now we have slide panel windows that are energy efficient and hurricane safe. And they're pretty. :cutie: My DD8 is also happy because in case of a fire it's much easier for her to get out. That Innoventions fire exhibit is a favorite of hers, it's not that we've actually had a house fire.

Congrats on the new windows. I know what you mean...a few can make a difference. When DH & I first bought our house (it was built in 1970 and we bought it in 1992) the first thing we did was put in new windows. What a difference that made! First best investment we made (2nd being DVC) as a married couple! :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone!

LOL! I always say DVC was the best financial decision we ever made. :lmao: We vacation at Disney so much, it is cheaper to own DVC than pay for hotel rooms as much as we did.

Ain't that the truth! If it weren't for DVC I KNOW we wouldn't have been able to go 3 times since May 2006. Thank God for DVC! :cool1:

Well goodness knows SOMEbody has to !! Oy but it's been quiet around here! It's really hard to DIS with yourself, y'know?! Yeah, yeah, there are other threads to join, but this one's the best!:grouphug:

We got a new puddy-tat yesterday! He is such a love bug; poor guy was a stray, and luckily a nice family brought him on their porch and fed him twice a day, but they couldn't keep him because their other, elderly cat was in no mood to deal with competition. So, they posted an ad on Craigslist and now he's with us. Now he's sleeping on a warm fleece blanket instead of out in the cold and snow.:goodvibes
