I'm tired of stressing over our trip.
Me, too. I keep meaning to reorganize the "Disney box". But instead, I spend the time on the DIS and playing the Sims.
ETA: Hey! New Page!
I'm tired of stressing over our trip.
Thanks. I've been stressing about this since we moved the trip from Aug 2 to October. The prob with Aug? It was too soon and too darn hot! But it would have been great--Aug 3 is our 13th wedding anniversary.
I was really concerned about telling the principal I was going to be out until they canned the principal that we used to have to tell we needed a day off. (She was downright nasty--walked into teacher's classrooms and yelled at them in front of students.) She did it to me once. Since I am an administrator, she only did it to me once. Now I have to tell the building administrator's secretary I need 3 days off. She just says, "Okay" and doesn't pry--as long as we have the days she doesn't concern herself. The other administrator made everything her business.
My husband and I are about to watch Good Luck Chuck. I have not heard much about it so I don't have high expectations.
Phew, glad you got rid of that nasty woman.
BTW - CREATIVE AMANDA- I read your trip report and I know I'm way behind because you posted it like last month BUT ... I read it and think it's great! Perfect UserName! How sweet DH encouraged you to go to Disney again.

Hi ya'll. How was your week? Looks like most everyone is busy planning vacation. Rock on!
BTW - what should we call our new thread? Can you believe it's been a year since we started this -- and how many DISers have UNITED? You all are so cool!![]()

Honestly? Playing the SIMS2. I know it's not a good excuse not to Dis, but I have only 2 more days until I am permanently back at work.
On the bright side, look at my ticker!![]()
We are going to delete one day from our Disney trip (instead of 2). It was going to be our rest day. We are going to drive home right after MNSSHP and although we know it will be a long night, we are still going to take the day off of work (please don't shoot the teachers for taking one extra day off to make the total 3 days out--I know it's a touchy subject on the DIS). On the bright side of taking those days off, the kids I teach in the morning are going to be pleased--I've planned for the sped teacher at the middle school, her assistant, and my class and assistants (and nurse) to go to the pumpkin patch, go through the district trick-or-treating, and carve pumpkins while I am out. I'm just sad I'm going to miss it. They go to the technical center in the afternoon, but finding something fun and educational to do while I was out has been hammering at me.
DH has it easy. All of the 8th graders in his school district get laptops. He'll teach something thoroughly the week before, assign websites to explore the next week, and check on them with his laptop while he is at Disney.
Okay, well, that's the long explanation.
I absolutely love Dane Cook. So I loved Good Luck Chuck and Dan in Real Life. Lots of people didn't like it, and I'm easy to please, though.

I let the temp agency know that I'm going back to the school district. She doesn't blame me. She knew none of the stuff that was going on, didn't even know that I had no computer access. I did tell her that I was doing nothing but filing awhile ago.
We'll have a new teacher. We are all looking forward to that.![]()
As a game addict (and former Sims 2 addict), I totally understand. I've been caught up with the Pirates online game.
I think your plan sounds great for MNSSHP, but exhausting. What day are you going? We'll be there Oct. 16th. I never fault a teacher for taking a day off. There are too many people on the Dis who get their panties in a bunch over things that have nothing to do with them.

Have you seen him live? I've had the opportunity to see him live 3 times. AWESOME.
I don't know what to call us either. But you gotta get things going quick.
How about "Former Tagless Disers Unite" Part 3
I know... corny.

Whatcha all up to this fine Friday evening? I'm finishing up my baking and about to put the boys to bed. After my shower, I'm going to settle in with a nice glass of wine and watch a couple of shows I recorded this week.

No, but I'm jealous now. I'd love to see him live.
I'm beat and heading off to bed.
He was great. He's a very physical comic. I live near Boston and before he got REALLY big I got to see him at the Comedy Connection. Sat about 10 feet from him. I was all sorts of twitterpated!
Seriously, if you ever get the chance, it's totally worth the money!

My BF and I actually liked that one. Of course, we're pretty big Dane Cook fans, but it was alright. We really like Dan in Real Life, too.
