thanks, I drew it last night XD

Im good, Im like packing stuff for camp on sunday, no computer for three weeks:eek:
how you doing?

Oh, I'm fine! Had a busy week at work and glad it's the weekend! Not much planned but sometimes it's nice to just stay home and relax.

My DS11 heads to camp next week, for 2 weeks. He will also have no computer or video games during that time! He really doesn't mind, though. He loves camp and looks forward to it all year.

My teens are slobs and my 2 very large puppies are hair losing monsters. I vacuumed yesterday and this morning floors covered in hair again. It's ridiculous. Looks like I have not vacuumed in weeks.

Cats and 3 boys will do that, too!! :rotfl: I just finished vacuuming here, too. I sat down to get ready to scrap book, and suddenly noticed that the floors were filthy!! And since I can't really relax in a messy house, I set out to clean up.

Yeah, I have 2 cats too and they don't help either. :lmao: I keep thinking I should vacuum again, but I really don't feel like it after doing my brothers house. I need to be back there 6pm. We are meeting down there for my mothers 70th b-day.

Evening all!

I hope everyone had a great day and has a good weekend planned.

It's beautiful here tonight. Probably in the low 70's/high 60's. Cool breeze. DRY. After the heat and particularly the humidity of the past few days it's a blessed relief.

BF had some minor surgery today. Some clean-up needed on a similar but more invasive surgery he had about 8 months ago. They gave him an epidural (he didn't want to go under when they said they'd have to intubate him and then turn him over as there is a chance he could aspirate). So thankfully, no belly sickness from anesthesia. And thankfully not a poor reaction to the epidural like last time - after discharging him, we were on our way to the car and he started to get lightheaded. By the time that got him back to recovery, he was crashing. His blood pressure was dangerously low and there was literally NO color in his face. Scariest. Moments. Ever.

Thankfully they stabalized him and this time around he had a much better crew of doctors and nurses to care for him and he recovered and made it home just fine. He napped while I worked remotely and, having finished supper and some TV-watching, he's tucking in for the night and I have some uninterrupted DIS time. I've got the version of Little Women with Winona Ryder and Christian Bale on in the background.

Things are peaceful this evening in the Tinkerbellarella household.

I'm so glad your BF's surgery went much better this time. That would be scary!

I just got one kid in bed and the other playing DS in her room. So I'm going for some down time myself.

That seems to be a lost art in this household.... Lately the kids think that because it's summer vacation, bedtime rules are out the window and they can stay up and play all they want!!!! Last night DS11 went outside at 11:15pm because he heard something out his window in the driveway.... Um, so somewhere in there you got the impression that it was OK to go outside at 11:15 at night??!!

Brain damage.

Bill Cosby says all kids have it.

Most days I certainly agree!! :lmao:

But what's NOT funny is that I am losing any and all of "my" time in the eveings. By the time I get these clowns in bed, I'm wiped!

I know! Lately, I hear myself saying over and over "The mommy sign is off!" Of course, I can't say that to the 2 year old, but she's the one that goes in her room and stays in her room now. Since DD8 is going to a sleepover tomorrow, I have leverage to get her to go to sleep early. Plus, she's been going to dance camp all week so she's exhausted.

Oh my Mommy sign is definitely OFF!!! :lmao: Thing is, I don't think anyone's noticed!

Well, tomorrow I'm off to vacation to Williamsburg, VA. It's going to be in the 90's all week. Man, I really hate the hot weather.

Have a good week.

That's too hot for me too, but have a good time.

For everyone who is heading out on vacation or to camp,

Good morning.

I have nothing planned for the day. Might be taking my daughter to TJ Maxx later. She slept at a friends house last night and I don't want to take her shopping if she stayed up all night and is going to be miserable to be around. We'll see when she gets home.

:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: Then I guess you won't be making a trip to Disney any time soon. It's high 90's down here every week.

Have a great time in Williamsburg. It is so pretty there. I went for a quick trip a few years ago, but I'd love to take the girls for a longer visit.

Well, I just filed my first ever complaint with the Beeter Busness Bureau. Wonder if it will do any good. . .

Over what??!

I would think they would at least follow up with the info. Since their "seal of approval" is so highly sought after, they'd better know who earns it and who doesn't!

Ford Credit. The car I sold is now 10 days late. I explained to Ford Credit that they financed the new car with the knowledge that the Explorer was being paid off. They are refusing to call the dealership to discuss the payoff date with them, telling me to pay a car that I no longer own, and calling 2-3 times a day for me to explain the situation each time every day. They have the contract for the Focus in front of them on the computer and acknowledge that I no longer am responsible for the Explorer. So why on earth are they continuing to call me? In the last 3 days, I have received 9 calls from them. The dealership tried to call and discuss the contract on the Explorer and they told them that the only information they could give the dealership was the payoff amount and could not discuss their collections practices. I'm telling you, I've never had these calls like this before. I am at my wits end!

Yesterday I called and asked to speak to a manager in collections. They REFUSED to let me. I said, "Are you saying I can't speak to a manager?" My answer: "You have not given me a good enough reason to alert a manager, so, no, I'm not going to transfer you." I got his name and put it in the letter I mailed to Ford Credit today.
