Tagless Dis'ers / Formerly Tagless Dis'ers UNITE! - Part II

I was just at Wal Mart looking at DVR's. I didn't like the selection, though. How did the house showing go?

No news on the showing, usually not until the day after or so. The listing agent seemed to like it, though - she wrote "Nice property!!" in the comments section of the sign-in sheet!

My 5'1" frame is down 25 pouinds. Only 60 or so pounds to go.

Good for you! I wish I could drop some weight. I've decided that it has far more to do with the fact that I don't have time to exercise than anything else. I try to eat healthy and watch my portions, but my body seems to have stalled out. I'm not gaining, but not losing either. I'm really disgusted with how I look right now, too. You would think an upcoming Disney trip would motivate me!!!

You inspired me to start losing weight... that and the skimpy costume I have to wear for my tap recital in June. :scared: But I've only been doing it a week, so my 5'11" frame is only down 4 pounds with about 30 more to go. Being tall has a big advantage, we have more places to hide those extra pounds. :lmao:

LegoMom - keep us updated on the showing! Hope it went well and you can start planning your move South (just in time for the heat.)

Speaking of losing weight, has anyone heard of Paul McKenna? I watched him on TLC last night, on that new show "I Can Make You Thin." HE has inspired me!! I can't wait for next week's show (and if I can't watch it, I can record it with my new DVR!!:cool1: ). Anyway his approach is so common sense that I can see why people would think it's too easy to work. The #1 problem with Western culture is that we have learned to eat by our eyes rather than our stomachs: we eat based on what we see intead of listening to our stomach tell us it's full! We also tend to eat distracted by the TV or a newspaper or our cell phones, etc., and pay very little attention to what/how much we're putting into our mouths. Of course that's just part of it, but I'm really into this. I see it as something I can learn to do and stick with.

Anyway, how's everyone else this morning?! It sure was a quiet weekend around here, let's hope it picks up a bit this week!

Mean Queen: I'll take the heat!! Bring it on! :rotfl:

Good day everyone. :surfweb:

I wanted to let you know I start 2nd shift today so I won't be around

during the afternoon/evenings. This is week number four in my new job

in production. I spent the first three weeks training on first shift and it 's

been brutal. I've worked no less than ten hours a day but sometimes eleven

or twelve. As you may recall, this is the job the company never formally

offered. I was "transferred" into the position. It was over a

week before they told me what the salary would be. You wouldn't believe the

low ball figure they're trying to give me. I met with the plant manager and his

thoughts are the figure was fair. :confused3 He said he would take a look at

the numbers again and let me know. We were supposed to meet Friday and

he was a no show. The drama continues ...

Absolutely stick to your guns! If they all wanted you in this position so bad, they ought to be willing to pay accordingly. After all you didn't come begging for it!! I hate how some companies try to pull stuff like that. Can you play their game by telling them you're perfectly happy to remain in "X" [your old] position at the lower salary? Good luck...!

:headache: So by transferring you, they avoid having to actually have you apply and accept the job thus having you avoid accepting whatever lowball payment they are giving you. Sounds pretty sneaky to me. Will you be staying on second shift from now on?

Hi, everyone.:wave2:

The Tag Fairy visited me on the Jambo thread. I'm thrilled!!! :banana:

Thanks agin Tag Fairy.:flower3:

DeterminedOne, Good luck on your new position. I hope you get the salary you are looking for. Sorry about the long hours. I soo know how you feel.

"Just birthin them babies" was already there, but now it is Pink. This has to do with my job as a Labor and Delivery RN.

"Working for that t-shirt" goes back to the old Jambo thread 700+ pages. I came up with the idea of making a t-shirt that says "Jambo Thread Survivor" as a reward for reading the entire thread. I'm now 400+ pages into it, and I WILL finish it and have the t-shirt to prove it. I plan to take pics of me wearing the t-shirt at AKL and posting them on the new Jambo thread.

I feel great not to be a "Tagless Diser" anymore.

Have you stayed at AKV yet? We've stayed a few times and love it. The studio is nice but we really loved the one bedroom.

I have not stayed there, yet. I am booked for AKV studio, savannah view for 2 weeks. This is only my 2nd time to the World, and the first time I stayed off property. I am so envious of you getting to go there any time you want.

The savannah view is amazing. We cancelled a night at the park so we could just sit and see what animals came by. (The prime rib from room service was excellent!) The animals seem to rotate depending on the time of day.

Great to know, thank you.

By the way, have you every been to BB or TL? If so, I have a few questions.

It's been quite a few years. When we lived in Orlando, we'd go to TL. But once DD turned 3 we downgraded from the premium passes. I really liked TL. It had a good toddler play area. But I don't remember much about the rest of it. DD is now 8 and wants to go to either.

I was wondering if I had to take off my presciptive glasses to go down the slides? I don't want to hold them in my hands, as I'm afraid I may drop them. I was planning to wear one of those string thingies around my neck/head to hold them on. Any ideas?

Oh will you cut it OUT already!!! :rotfl:
