Morning all! I'm too tired to try to put together a nice hello like Smiley does. But I wanted to say hello. I need to get ready to take the little one to mommy and me gymnastics. Fortunately for all of us, mommy doesn't have to do gymnastics, we just help.

Good morning. I took a much needed off day from work so I will be around to chat today. Hope little one has fun at gymnastics.

Good morning ya'll!! Ahh come on Mean Queen you know you want that back tuck!! :rotfl2: I used to tell my daughters gymnastics coach that I was going to start taking classes with her. I really did want to learn to do a back handspring and back tuck. I thought it would be great to be 40 something years old and showing these young ones just how to do it. They actually encouraged me to do it. But my 40 something year old body treatened me with my life. :lmao: Now that I have told ya'll my life story....I need container planting ideas. I want my front and back porches to look incredible this year. I've been spending alot of time looking at magazines. My biggest problem is for some reason I have this fear of mixing plants. :confused3 And you have to have a good mixture for the containers to look good.
So, if you have any ideas please share. :goodvibes

HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY!!

Since my little one is only turning 2 in a few weeks, her gymnastics class is pretty easy. We're trying to teach her tumbling, balance beam, and trampoline. The poor child thinks jumping is getting up on her tippy toes. I have no desire to do anything more advanced that the stretches we do for that class. I did get the desire to take up dance when my oldest was in it. That was 4 years and many recitals in outfits way too small for someone my age ago. Tap is great exercise and lots of fun. Plus, it's not too hard on the body like gymnastics would be.

I think it is great that you do this with your kids!! :thumbsup2 Are you still dancing?

Thanks, Smiley. Hey, do you have any current pics of your house?
No recent pictures. We will be taking some soon. Both hubby and I have family out of state that want to see it. Who knows, maybe it will prompt some of them to actually come and see us. (maybe I should just send the pictures.:lmao: )

Yep! I had tap last night. We're practicing already for our June recital. We're doing "Steamheat" by the Pointer Sisters from the play "The Pajama Game." It's very fast and we're wearing tap shoes with heels. :scared: Luckily, no one has broken a bone or twisted an ankle... yet. For the most part, it's a class of moms. DD isn't in the class, she takes hip hop. I'd love to try the adult version, but I'm not sure I'm hip enough. :lmao:

Girl you are plenty hip enough!! Go for it!! Don't let any age get in your way. The more you do...the more you feel like doing. And your kids will love you for it.

For now, she's still young enough to think me dancing is cool. I may try it another time, but right now the hip hop class is right before my tap and I can't handle that much exercise in one night. I'd be one exhausted dancing banana.

Hey DO! Ready for tonight? The Beatles. Make sure to check into the new AI thread if you haven't already. They had to close the original because it got too long. So now there's a top 12 thread.

Hi LegoMom!

Hi LegoMom!! I've had a very nice day today. How about you?

I've been TIRED today! I seem to still be adjusting to losing an hour of sleep on Sunday....! I don't remember it being this bad in the past, maybe I'm just plain ol' tired, period.

You have just plain had alot on your plate lately too!! But I do agree with you that for some reason this time change has been a little more difficult. I can't get over how fast the afternoons are flying by.

You're right!! I'm probably just as mentally exhausted as anything else... I tend to push everything to the back of my mind when it gets overwhelming, but it's definitely still there.

At least I have my Disney trip booked! :woohoo: If I have to cancel because we're moving, that's fine, but I can look forward to it if we are still here.

Now, if only Southwest would open up their booking window beyond mid-August...

Let's see if the guys wreck it tonight. I'm sure David A will do well... I hope.

And surprisingly, you were wrong. The poor kid! I guess his youth and inexperience caught up to him. He was so nervous about singing a song he didn't know, then flubbed up the words. Plus, I can't stand watching him lick his lips. I liked David C. again, Carly, and Chikezie (which surprised me to no end.) I thought Kristy Lee's version of "Eight Days a Week" was a total trainwreck. All the other contestants should thank her for doing so bad so they should be able to stay.

BTW - MORNING ALL! I'm trying to get some work done before heading out to let my little one run wild at a bouncy castle place.

Poor David A. :sad2: Another of my favorites is David H and he bombed too. As for the girls, I'm liking Carly more and more.

I like Carly too. I think she's the only girl I really like, though I do find it a bit unfair that 1) she had a contract before and 2) she's not American, so really isn't an American Idol.

Good points. I'm not surprised at Syesha and Kristy in the bottom three. I just hope David A is safe.
