I wouldn't know one type of bird from another. Though we did see a bald eagle flying over our house today. It lives in a park nearby and I see it making trips over the water searching for food. Though I'm sure it and the hawks have grabbed up a few of the bunnies that live in my backyard (wild, not pets.)

Wow...the pictures actually make me wish it snowed here. Yeah I know, I'm sure I'd get tired of it pretty quick...

Well, its Girl Scout Cookie time here! We have our first Pirate & Princess Party booked for March 14th, so I'm sitting here reading all over the DIS with my Thin Mints & Peanut Butter Patties. :lovestruc

I remember a time when Girl Scout cookies were hard to come by. Unless you knew a Girl Scout or their parents, you couldn't get cookies. Nowadays the Scouts stand outside grocery stores and the mall. I love it! :thumbsup2

I need to get some Girl Scout cookies still. I was supposed to order from my friend, but haven't. Guess I need to check out the local Publix.

Would the last one out of New England please turn off the snow?....

Here it comes again.

People have lost their minds over lesser things than this, you know!

Thank God for planning Disney trips....

Anywho, are any of you familiar with delswife from here on the DIS? She's done some pretty funny trip reports. So I just got her camera bag that she put up for auction eBay. She's auctioning stuff off to get gas money to go to Florida. Hmm.... The camera bag has a quite a history, and some really funny stories! I tried to find a link to them but couldn't find it.

My DH ordered Girl Scout cookies from a co-worker... Can't wait for them to come in!! YUM-O!

I rarely read trip reports on this board. I generally only read the ones of people I "know" through other threads. Like you guys. So get moving on some trips so I can read your trip reports.

Well, since my next trip is still several months away...:sad2: here is a link to my last TR, if you're DISing some night and getting bored! The writing's ok... , but there are some pretty cool pics!

It's from our trip in Sept. '06. It was one of those trips that I don't think will ever be eclipsed, but hey I can aspire to perfection a 2nd time, can't I?! Actually, it wasn't "perfect" in all reality. DS6 (then 4) had a meltdown in AK and as a result I never got to ride Everest or Kali...! I had waited all YEAR to ride Everest, but alas it slipped away on the wings of a fuss. We also missed lunch at Sci-Fi and dinner at Whispering Canyon. We were all getting exhausted by the end of the week! AND, I never got over to see The Incredibles at the Studios. I mean, we had custom matching T-shirts and everything!! Come to think of it, I did a lot of waiting around in that park (for others who were on rides I didn't care to join them on....:scared: ).

Anyway, happy reading if you so choose!

Great trip report! It's very interesting to read a totally different Disney perspective for me. I never get to take ME, we rarely do the dining plan, and missing something isn't a big deal because we know we'll just get it next trip. Though I did get lost staying at POR also. That and the beignets are why we generally do POFQ when we don't stay DVC.

Funny how we only do the evening EMH and never make the morning ones. That's mostly because we drive up on a Saturday and miss them, then wake up on a Sunday when they don't have them.

Don't you love how September in Florida is so deceiving? People from up North think, "It's September, it must be cooler weather and a great time to go." Ha. It doesn't get cooler here until late October, if we're lucky. But September is a good time to go to avoid crowds, which makes the heat more bearable. But once you finally get to move here, you'll get used to it.

Yes --WELCOME! Pretty much everyone who has posted thus far was tagless before we started this thread. Good luck to you. I hope you get a flashing or moving tag. :)

Thanks, DetermineOne. By the way, what is that red splat in your tag.:confused3 I bet there's a good story behind that one.

Ok, why do I still only see a red "x" instead of DO's splat?! Mean Queen, how 'bout you??....do you see it?

I have always seen the splat. Not sure why you and DO only see the x. As far as we know, there isn't any story behind it. Just a random splatting by the tag fairy. Maybe it's a very large accumulation of tag fairy dust?

wahhhh.
:sad1:
be my friend??

Welcome to the thread! You can't give up hope, there's always the chance you will get caught posting something stupid and it will forever be immortalized under your name.

Checking in to say hello. :wave2:

Tonight's a huge tv night for me ... Biggest Loser, American Idol and Big Brother all on at the same time. Why do they do this to me? Recording and watching it later just isn't the same. :snooty:

Again, I'd forget AI was on if it wasn't for you. And I love Hollywood week. I should DVR the show, but there are so many shows I'd get backed up easy. I still have Lost from last week to watch.

We can be tagless buddies.

A belated Welcome to you both! Hope you'll stay a while. I was tagless when I joined. There IS hope!:goodvibes

Ok, Mean Queen, if ever I was ready to come to Florida, it's NOW.... We got 8" of snow overnight, and now it's sleeting (I woke up to the sound of it pinging off my window) and later changing to rain.

And the snowblower died last week....

Do you have any idea what it's like to shovel that much snow....after it's been encrusted in ice????

No, of course you don't because you live where it's warm!!!!!!!!

I'm officially done. Someone wake me up when it's April.....

.

I couldn't even imagine what 8" of snow looks like. I've been skiing before and I don't think there was the much packed on the mountain. For me, the snow is a nice thing to visit but I wouldn't want to live (or drive) in it. I'll take our current rash of thunderstorms (and state-wide tornado watches) over the cold and snow.
