LEGOMOM - I see you're looking into the gold selling too. Which place are you using? I was all ready to do Goldfellow, then someone posted they got more with someone else. Then you asked about the gemstones and I'm totally confused. I don't care about the gems, but I don't know if we're supposed to remove them.

I'm still pretty confused myself.... I actually just sent some stuff to Goldfellow but I ended up declining the settlement and they are sending it back to me. I thought it was too low for what I'd sent. And part of my problem was a few of the items did have nice stones in them, but Goldfellow doesn't give any credit for those (no, you don't have to remove them). I think I might do much better going to a jewelry store that is buying stuff, but my problem there is that I don't have one nearby so that means a trip to the city....:rotfl: Anyway, I know there's a post in there somewhere about a company that does give at least something for gems, but I'll have to read back to the beginning to find it I guess.

I think US Gold Buyers is paying quite a bit higher than Goldfellow, according to those on the thread who've used them. I might look them up and see what they're about. Even if I can get $300 or $400, that can go towards our trip!!

P.S. - 60 and sunny here again today!!....got the windows open and everything!

I'm jealous! I work in downtown Beantown and the sun has been playing hide and seek all day! I just went out to grab a coffee and despite it being 57, it was actually a little chilly!

Spring, where are you? :cool2:

Wow, that's a switch! Usually we get the less-than-perfect weather (I'm up in southwest NH). There are a few clouds out there but the sun is pretty consistent. Tomorrow looks even better!!

I sent mine off to Goldfellows today. I picked PayPal, so that may cause some problems if I don't like their offer. I'm trying to get my DH the 16gb iPhone for his birthday at the beginning of May. When I read the USGB was taking longer, I sent to the other one in hopes of getting the money back quicker. I wonder if the difference in prices was based more on the fluctuation of the gold market than which business they picked. Either way, I'm going to get money for necklaces that have sat in my jewelry box since high school and my class ring from a school I really didn't like being at.

I know, right! I work in Beantown but actually live in Southeastern, MA near the RI border and it's usually milder and nicer there than it is in the city.

The weather can be so strange. I always wanted to take a meteorology class in college.

I sat in the sun today on my deck....It actually felt hot on my face! :cloud9: I haven't felt that since probably last September....:sad2:

I work with special needs kids at the high school level. Yesterday we went to Special Olympics. It was overcast and chilly all day. Today wasn't much better. Next week is another Olympic meet.

I hope you have better weather next week. And good luck to your kids in the Special Olympics. I volunteered for a bowling meet in high school and was so amazed by the athletes.

Hey thanks - you too! Hope everyone is doing well. Looks like LegoMom is finally getting the good stuff weather wise. :thumbsup2

Yeah, for a few days anyway, but starting tomorrow and right through Monday we are back to crap....:headache: Low-mid 40s and rain. But it could be snow so I won't complain too loudly!! :rotfl:

I plan to come home today and sit on my deck again. Good stuff.

Today is also when it all comes down as far as Free Dining! Today I will know for certain what resort I got (we have POR booked already but there is much debate over whether you can just add Free Dining to an existing reservation or not; my Dreams travel agent has all our choices and I've left it in her capable hands.... So I won't be one of those poor people on the phone this morning for an hour or more! :scared1: ).

At least my ADRs won't change, I'm just waiting there to see if we get Hoop-de-Doo.

Darn that I have to go to work today and be away from the computer all morning....!!

Good luck! And I can tell you that when I booked Free Dining on Monday (Disney Visa Holder) all they did was add it on to my original ressie. I then went and upgraded us to the Poly, but even that was just a modification to the original reservation.

However, I did have to call TWICE to get someone who knew what they were talking about. :headache:

Good luck to all of you with your free dining and making all those reservations. I guess I need to keep track of when the free dining is so I know not to try to eat TS at those times.

AND WE GOT EXACTLY WHAT WE WANTED!!!!!!

POR 9/8 - 9/16, 7-day base tix....and we got Hoop-de-Doo!!!!!!! We have Category 2 seating at the 7:15 show! When we get out we'll hang around for the Electrical Water Pageant up at the beach!

We also added an 8th night in there since the original ressie so I still need to find one more restaurant!

Now I'm going outside because it's 70 degrees and sunny!

We actually have no plans to go to WDW during those times, so we should be safe. Congrats on all the ressies. Hoop De Doo is so fun. We're hoping to go back when we camp in January.

I forgot to mention that all of the kids at Special Olympics had on Lime Green shirts. OMG, when I saw the shirts I could've died of laughter. It was great. :rotfl:

Did you run around drawing hidden Mickey's on their shirts? :lmao:
